2-1 we came out this half looking to just sit on lead and got exactly what we deserve. Alty much fired up

Mind crucial moment minutes earlier when we miss one on one.

Terrible second half attitude from us

Curzon must have a hell of a lot of players if they're beating Alfreton and Altrincham at the same time!! :bg1:

Nerves and crap phone

Alfreton should have this game dead and buried now. We desperately need to go two up front but wont do it, it’s too defensive

Well well well. Finished 2 apiece. A result that does nothing to help ease relegation fears for either side then.

Spennymoor though. Consective defeats to Gainsbrough and Telford with 7 conceded in the process. Clearly we need to be aiming for the 3 points Saturday. If Spenny win they really have done a job on us.

Overall thoughts Big Dave having witnessed the game. Both sides have reason to be relieved/dissapointed

Top 6 look nailed on. Have to think Spennymore will sneak through into 7th. Don't particularly fancy games against Stockport, Kiddy or York though!

At the bottom who knows? Someone always puts a run together (remember Telford a few seasons back) so Gainsborough not dead. After that, take your pick up as far as below Boston I'd say.

Looks like Spenny/Blyth don't wanna be in the play-offs? The way they are playing at the moment.
Good news for Chorley like, at least they are picking up points just at the right time.

I'd say Tamworth are in serious trouble after that draw at Curzon. I would imagine they'd have wanted one of those two to get beat in that game. Plus Tamworth have played 3 games more than the 2 teams below them, gonna go down to the wire it's that close.

2-2!! WOW What can you say? We just defy all logic. Roles reversed it seems

I gather you've calmed down now a little DSL? After the player's have put a shift in and earned their corn with a couple of second-half goals to earn a share of the spoils :)

Yes! Thought we were dead and buried at HT. This group of players really now how to me through the ringer. Still not exactly sure we will scrape out of this yet..3 points tomorrow v Spenny and I might have a glimmer of hope.

I think DSL more to worry about than hope for both sides, but for much different reasons.

On your side the worry is you looked a relegation side for large chunks of that game, first half could have seen us 3-4 goals up, you had a great header from a corner early on but after that created nothing for 50 minutes, hardly troubled our half and were a mess at the back..............them signs you must worry about becuse other sides may not allow you back like we did yesterday.

Turning point of the game was nothing to do with anything Curzon did wrong, or anything alfreton did right................just Nail Cummins going off injured on about 40 minutes...............this is where we have serious serious worries, our back-up, our fall back options are so utterly dire its a serious worry.

The very moment Cummins went off, our 4-5-1 all passing formation falls apart because while we have 3-4 back-up strikers they are simply not this level and it just crumbles and we stop attacking....then start to fall back.

A positive for you is the set peices....you grabbed two goals from some good balls off set plays, but our marking was beyond shocking, twice a runner completely open and free in the box.....losing Howson in defence to Southport has still been an enormous blow.

suppose yesterday did highlight the old viewpoint that winning 2-0 is the most dangerous scoreline.....we decided without cummins to sit further back, a tactic which hurt us badly, Alfreton came out with nothing to lose and fair play to them muchly improved after the break, the early goal for alfreton probably helped.

My worry is we have absolute nothing else than our strongest 11 playing our one style and approach, it does well enough, we never get hammered, we play ok, we give everyone a good game, but once that 11 gets any injuries or gets tired it starts to fall apart.

We cried out yesterday for 30 minutes to switch to two forwards to press Alfreton back, we never made a change, even when 2-1 and being outplayed, even at 2-2 and looking like we'd lose, clearly is no confidence on any forwards doing enough.

Positives for you is momentum and confidence will have risen from that when you could (Had cummins not gone off or we hit that 3rd) have lost by 4-5 goals and looked doomed.....seasons can turn on such momentum.

for us, well.................it will all depend on Cummins injury and how long.

very enjoyable game though, plenty of chances for both sides and both can easily look at fact they should have won.

My recent experience of following York City suggests that being 6-1 down is also quite a dangerous scoreline.

In other news, York City lost nearly £1 million in 2017. Just let that sink in.

Is there a Chairman out there who's put so much money into a football Club but made it worse as the years have gone on as McGill has?

Most get worse due to lack of investment but not York!

For us apparently being 4-0 up is a dangerous scoreline :ffs:

We've got Blyth tomorrow. Don't really know what to expect, amongst all the criticism for Spennymoor's ground Blyth haven't played at home for 7 weeks so it's hard to see how they've been performing at home recently, but their overall form recently is dire.

Hopefully, we'll come through this game with a rare away win, it'll have to be a win either way probably as Blyth don't do draws only 1 all season.

We may have beat you at our place (our first ever win against you) but I don't want to play you away. Your home form speaks for itself. Want us to face Harrogate as I think that gives our best chance. We'll then have to pray you're knocked out by someone else.

So having gone behind and battling back to a 3-1 lead, another sloppy goal put us on edge in the final few mins of the game vs Tamworth which was ridiculous more than anything. Tamworth barely threatened so to end up backs to the wall at 3-2 was not appreciated!

That being said we got across the line for our 5th straight win and up to 5th in the league.

Big thanks to AFC Telfwolves for beating Sp£ndymoor last night. Sp£ndymoor still have games in hand but seem hell bent on throwing it away!

Tomorrow we head to North Ferriby who have certainly picked up of late, but nothing less than 3 points will be acceptable given we have Kiddie, Blyth and Chorley all away in our final 5 games.

Don't see us making it but there will be twists and turns still to come on the way, think we will just miss out but you never know as Sp£ndymoor and Blyth are rocking at the moment. Our game with Stockport will be very interesting too, also have Blyth at home but unfortunately have to go to Brackley.

Spennymoor tomorrow at home then.

We simply must win otherwise they really will have done a job on us with their last two results. Cant say I have a whole lot of confidence...

Another away trip for the Moors that's 4 on the trot now including tomorrow's game, I could be wrong but surely fatigue is beginning to take it's toll on the player's i would imagine.

The backlog of games is gradually catching them out, so tomorrow could be the day to take advantage?
Then again their is always the downside of the fear of them coming back into form.

Football is unpredictable DSL. But i hope you beat them.

We have been informed by FC United Of Manchester that our game against them on 14th April will be all ticket. Absolutely stupid, why can't we just pay on the day of the game at the turnstiles.

We have been allocated 100 seated tickets and 650 standing. I have my doubts we'll sell those with nothing to play for?

Georgie Porgie Reynolds did claim once that he spent £27m on the George Reynolds Arena.

After that I'm not sure whether he meant to say the safe was empty.

Bear in mind 470k of that is interest payments that he says he going to wave. We actually lost 500k and that includes the money from getting to Wembley too.

Yep, all correct, but that doesn't seem like a convincing defence (which I think is your point).

We look completely shafted.

And also those figures don't include us getting relegated to NLN and sacking Mills (again), appointing a new manager and hiring a load more sub-standard players.
