I'm siding with our Kentish brothers, the more local games the better

So we made the play offs with a completely new squad mainly from the lower leagues. Would have taken mid table before the season started so am well chuffed to finish 6th. Can we win the play offs? well stranger things have happened in football.

GTFC Fish's posts have put the fear of god into me at the thought of you going up, so please don't if at all possible. Cheers.

Going to be a right piss take if Truro end up going up.

Concord Rangers have announced Sammy Moore and Jack Midson as their new management team.

The duo left Leatherhead this morning after leading them to the brink of the Isthmian play-offs and the FA Cup First Round were they lost heroically to Wycombe Wanderers.

Looks like a very prudent appointment.

Of course, I guess Hartlepool sprang to mind because they're an ex-league team.

Yes, Gateshead vs Truro would have been a staggering 906 mile round car trip - though, interestingly were a match to take place between the two and you were travelling by public transport you would actually be able to make the journey there in a day, which you wouldn't be able to do from Hartlepool - but it would be overnight if you went back straight after the match:

Pay no attention to GTFC fish he is probably still sulking from the 5-0 tonking we gave them in our first home game in the National league a few years ago. First hurdle overcome with our win at Hemel last night now off to Dartford on Sunday. Win that and I really will start believing we can return to the National at our first attempt.

Nothing personal for me, I just want Dartford up as a local derby.

This applies to next season but I'll put it here as Billericay are now in this division. Tamplin's latest is that next season the budget will be slashed by 50% meaning just the £20,000 a month being spent. Yep he was spending £40,000 a month at Isthmian Premier level.
Next season the aim is possibly playoffs but he'd be happy with promotion. Oh and by 2022 Billericay will be a league club, he didn't say that was the aim, he's promised that.

A month or a week?

On the playoffs, glad to see Hemel and Truro are staying down. Former's got a bit of edge to it and the latter means another trip to Cornwall which I enjoy.

They've already signed 3 players, Frazer Shaw and Sean Clohessy from Leatherhead plus Kojo Awotwi from VCD Athletic. I know managers like to get their player recruitment done early but signing players before the playoffs for this season are over is some going.

A month or a week?

He said this season the budget had been £10,000 a week which would be halved to £5,000 next season, so £20,000 a month. They should still be walking away with the division next season but hopefully Tamplin gets fully involved in team affairs again and makes sure they have plenty of hiccups.

A few weeks ago I saw Tamplin directly quoted as saying he's spending £30k A WEEK right now. He's since stated that he intends cutting that to £10k a week next season.

Whatever the reality he changes his mind on a daily basis and I think we all know it's going to end in tears one way or another.

Cannot see Billericay getting promoted next season. There were some very clear signs of unrest as the season went on and it will only get worse next year.

Tamplin will get bored within the next 12-18 months.

Fanbloodytastic performance from us today. Even after the extra time and penalties from Wednesday, far from being knackered the boys produced the best all over the pitch today and if we play like that next Sunday v Hampton we will be back in the National after just one season down here. The icing on the cake win or lose next Sunday is that Chelmsford lost today and all their Billy big bollocks fans are having a fit on their forum. Football don,t you just love it!

Yes well done Braintree, emulating Ebbsfleet's run but going one better.

Means Hampton have home advantage in the final, which I might go to, because I like the Beveree - I imagine many fans of ex-league clubs will hate it if they go up, but for me its bric-a-bric construction has character and its own quirky charm.

If, as looks inevitable given we're playing Boreham Wood, Rovers are still in the NL next season, I'd be up for a trip to Hampton.

Bit of a sickener for Dartford being so close and then losing in the PO's.

To be fair the National League is already heavily over-capacity for tinpot, thicko Kentish mugs.

I'm more inclined to agree with PP's figures on their wage budget. £5,000 per week is probably a midtable budget in this league so there's no way they're keeping that squad on that figure, yet alone thinking about going up.

Dartford and Chelmsford bottling their playoff fixtures yesterday makes next season even tougher. That said I'm very meh on Braintree and Hampton so quite glad that one of them will be going up. I'd rather it be the latter because it would mean almost certainly that Dulwich or Hendon will be our boxing day/new years day opponent next season.

Went along to Chelmsford v Hampton yesterday and it was a typical smash and grab away display, perfect in many ways. Chelmsford completely dominated the entire first half and really ought to have been at least 2-0 or 3-0 up by the break, hit the bar a couple of times, one off the line etc. Hampton were content to slow the game down as much as possible, their number three probably spent more time on the floor than he did playing football.

Shortly after the break, in what must have been their only real chance of the entire game, they had a couple of shots blocked on the line but the Chelmsford full back must have handled it. Off he goes, penalty converted and suddenly they're behind and a man short in extremely hot, tiring conditions. That was the end of the game really - no chances of note for either team in the last 35 minutes or so and Hampton did the perfect job of killing the game out.

Tough on Chelmsford based on the balance of play, but that's what you get for failing to put a single chance away when you're well on top. Hopefully Braintree can win the final now, just a shame it wasn't an all-Essex affair to ensure we have a team back in the NL.

Sorry about those few scrotes who follow Dover. Nobody likes them there, either

Maidstone used to have quite the bromance soft spot for Dover, until their pathetic non-fighting hooligans turned up trying to be hard. But, like Gillingham, everyone now seems to go to the Gallagher when their club aren't playing at home.
