I like both. Glad they've brought navy blue back on the home kit, but the away kit is definitely the better of the two.

While Vale's away kit design is decent enough, I don't really like purple as a colour so I can't really comment I guess. In fact, I hate purple with a passion, though I admit I was once encouraged by my then gf to get myself a purple long sleeved shirt. To this date, I still file that purchase under my 'Stuff I must never ever do again' list. Shite colour.

I like Grimsby's home shirt a lot and it's probably better than the one last year's home one IMO. The away shirt is quite frankly awful however.

Crewe - Amateurish effort. I see they've gone for the Sunday pub team look once again.

The only correct thing you've said so far in this thread is that Grimsby's home shirt is nice, you've appalling taste mate.

Grimsbys Away one looks like a knock off 90s kit to me (may look better in the flesh though). Home one is decent enough though.

We're getting a new home kit which is red and white stripes on the front and plain red on the back. We're keeping the same rather unpleasant luminous second kit and the slightly more pleasant purple third kit.

Liking the Grimsby and Crewe kits.

Navy blue and red is a criminally underused colour combo in my opinion. Probably my favourite colour scheme even if it is York colours.

Duly noted pal. Thing is loads - all over the internet - have said that Vale's home one is a decent kit, and loads more reckon that Stevenage's kits are awful. Seems to me you're the one with the appalling taste ;)

Re. your lot's kits, I've got a suggestion if I may. Ditch FBT and get some decent kit manufacturer instead.

A Crewe fan would never ever say anything positive about the Vale no matter how trivial. We’ve actually had some decent kits under Errea certainly. The home one is proving very popular on the football shirt forums, although the away one is a bit marmite due to the colour. You either like it or you don’t.

I’m chuffed with our ones this year and guarantee by our fans reactions they will probably sell better than most years.

I like our (Crewe) kits this year, glad they've brought back the navy trim. I also really like Vale's kit too. Home more than the away, even though purple is my favourite colour - the home kit just looks more professional.

I like FBT personally, it's unique, we used to have really nice kits and were one of a few clubs (West Ham, Liverpool and Bolton) to have Reebok make them. Then we went through a dire stage of Lotto and Carbrini, dark kit times. VF16, I liked Vale's kits when you were sponsored by Tunstall Assurance and a few of the GMB ones looked good.

Port Vale's home kit is very nice, not so keen on the away.

That Grimsby home shirt is magnificent. Nobody is beating that this season imo.

The Crewe kits look awful - cheap designs and looks like they're made from recycled plastic bags. The material has a really weird sheen to it and they don't appear to have a proper 'shape'.

Why is the sponsor not in the box? As with most of our recent home kits, so close yet so far, solid stripes and the sponsor in the place it should be and it'd be OK, but it's a :msi:from me.

Nice enough kit if the sponsor was in the right place. However, yet another Puma kit with bizarre patterns this season.

I like the Puma kits.. far more imagination than the other brands.

This is until our away kit is purple with a white lightning bolt in the middle and we announce White Lightning as the sponsor..

For some reason, they’ve put a grey patch under the arm, which makes the wearer look quite sweaty. Why they have done this, I have no idea!

Poor effort yet again from the U's. The little problem we got at our club is that the fan base is split evenly between the 'black/amber stripes please' and 'plain amber please' camps. There's nothing wrong with this, the problem is the club has been trying to appease both camps at the same time ever since we got back into the league. Imo this doesn't work, and a better idea would be to revert to the system the club had back in the NL days - alternate between striped and plain shirts every year or so.

I'm aware that the club insists on bespoke designs, but being different from everybody else doesn't mean the shirt will be a decent one. For ex, we could've have gone for something like the new Luton home one, and I reckon it would've have looked better than this effort. I'm all for stripes, but I don't have a problem with a decent plain amber shirt if it's done right.

Paul - yeah, that little grey patch isn't such a great idea but I reckon it's still one of the better shirt designs so far. Up there with Vale's home kit imo.

Looks like a 5 year old attempted a sticker book! Those stripes are rancid hope Notts don't follow suit as we have the same supplier.

Wow. A terrific set of kits from us for this season. Love the detailing on the home, the red and simplicity of the change shirt, and that third kit is smart as fuck.
