I wonder whether retrospective action will be taken against Doidge (he says hopefully) ? Has that ever happened in League Two ?
I doubt we'll hear any more about it to be honest, but the ref on Monday might be watching out for it a bit more keenly.

Transvestites through on away goals on Monday. Nice to be watching these playoffs knowing that we’re the only League Two side guaranteed to be at Wembley this month.

Christ, we were brilliant with 10 man! The Monday return leg will be a real belter I'm sure.

You'd have thought we'd won lol.
That looked and sounded brilliant.

We are definitely still in this, which looked a bit doubtful after the sending off and goal. We weathered their storm and defended like a team possessed. I watched the game with some neighbours and there were comments about the atmosphere dropping off towards the end of the first half, particularly the home fans, they did pick it up briefly in the second but otherwise it sounded fairly flat. We need to be loud from the off, like we have been in the last couple of home games, and keep it going...it will make the difference.

If you’d asked me before the game if I’d be happy at taking a one goal lead down to Nailsworth on Monday then I would have said yes. Obviously it’s frustrating not to score against ten men but it’s not as easy as everyone thinks. You’re then playing a team that just happily sits back and won’t come at you leaving nothing in behind. Look at us at Wembley vs Boreham Wood last season!

Norwood should have dispatched one of those chances in the first half but overall I don’t think the quality on show last night was a true reflection of both teams this season.

Monday be interesting. Finely poised.

He’s been injured for weeks and should have been rested well before now.

It was against fgr he got his knock bizarrely enough. It was an innocuous little bump in the 6 yard boxwith right back. The right back showed concern and norwood acknowledged he was fine and limped tp half way... he has been limping since

Our poorest performer last night was micky mellon ( put in earplugs ) . He got the bench completely wrong has he had another fall out with a player as in mullen? If so sometimes you cannot cut your nose off to spite your face! His attacking options on the bench were awful tollitt was dreadful last week but he may have given us something different. We did have chris dagnell on the bench who went unused!!

Tactically im not sure what he had told the lads at half time it was clear once fgr went to 5-3-1 exactly what they were doing and he should have maybe gone 3-4-3 to combat this using banks as a ball carrying centre half as guardiola used mascherano in similar circumstances at barca... just an idea

I was surprised by the lack of quality last night; honestly I still don’t have the slightest clue on what’s the final going to be.

Smith offered very little when he came on, we lost a lot of the joy we were having down the right as a result. Gilmour was the better of the two subs but we struggled second half. Mullin was absent as his partner gave birth yesterday

I’m not a fan of Pringle but thought he should have come on, a slow game that needed someone to unlock the back 8 of FGR.

"But no matter, the FGR choir out-sang Tranmere as we did last month at Prenton Park and will do so again in both upcoming matches against this other Rovers team. "

Oh my God!!! I have heard some nonsense come out of some of these Gloucestershire halfwits but that is the funniest yet. Who writes this stuff for you because the BBC should give him a job writing sit-coms?
Now that is twice in two games in the last month that the FGR supporters have completely utterly and devastatingly silenced the Tranmere crowd.
The only chants heard were from the FGR away stand.
You are right R no sit com writer would ever consider using it as material because it is actuality.

How many are you bringing Monday, any thoughts? Do you know what your allocation is?
Exeter had 1200 on Bank holiday Monday, so imagine you will get about 1500. Bit of a bummer having to travel mid week for an important game.

We got allocated just over 1, 200 and I imagine they'll sell out if they haven't already. The playoff schedule isn't great, but at least it's a fairly straightforward journey. Nervous for the game already!

Think you'll sell the home end out with the game in the balance?

Now my ban from this tier has been lifted I have to ask, why do you add SWA to your posts, are you behind the door or something?

It started when the FGR sub stole Caprice's water bottle being looked after by our ball boy and chucked it in their dugout (standard Cooper games). The ball boy went over to try and retrieve it, at which point some fans got irate about the theft and tried to take FGR's whole water bottle crate, and a chase ensued! It was all a bit keystone cops.

The atmosphere was great in the early stages. You went get a better noise at a League Two game than in the first half, even at the New Lawn.

I don't think the problem in the second half was personnel, but the shape of the team. Both wingers were cutting inside on to their stronger foot, which made things very congested. I don't know why we did not switch to 442 with the wide players on their natural flank, but perhaps Mellon was quietly happy with 1-0 and more concerned about getting picked off on the break.

I think some of the comments about FGR's 'heroic' performance are a bit over the top. Yes, they defended well in the second half but they offered nothing when they had the ball, and you won't see a more one-sided game in terms of possession, even with ten men

I thought we played well in the first half and deserved to go in a couple of goals ahead, but failing to get the second is not a disaster.

Oh, and can someone tell Allan Parry that not 'everyone on Merseyside is a red or blue'. Embarrassing coverage.

Seating has sold out already. I'd imagine we will fall just short of filling the two standing ends behind the goals. Which is slightly annoying as to my knowledge we have never sold out! Our capacity is 5000 give or take a few. 4500 against Exeter, it was the end of season game and a bank holiday so always sell a few more traditionally then.

Expecting 4500 again I'd say (If you're allocation sells out too).

Our attendances are heading in the right direction, evolution not revolution for us. If we get our new stadium plans passed, and this looks like it may finally happen soon, I think we'll pick-up a lot more fans from South Gloucestershire, down towards Bristol, and lots more from Gloucester. I guess that's part of of the plan. I think we will continue to pick-up fans from quite a way out, because our name does not belong to anywhere that anyone has developed a disliking for. (Petty local rivalries etc). It could be a good thing, or alternatively turn everyone off!
