Brendon Daniels has left us and signed for Port Vale. Not too disapointed. Decent set piece taker but thats it. Poor attitude/workrate. Certainly not L2 for me. Only a 6 month deal apparently

Guessing your disappointed in Tom Allan rejoining us.
Should never have left us and was given bad advice at the time to join Gateshead.

Yes without a doubt shame to see Tom go. Always gave 110% and was an aerial threat. That said I trust in Billy Heath and believe (and hope!) we are looking at a better quality of player.

Tom gave everything and had an aerial threat due to his height. But his distribution with the ball at his feet was frustrating at times. Not surprised he has rejoined York with he already working at your academy.

Jason McGill has "returned to his role as York City chairman" Although he never really left did he?

Sam Ashton has left us today. Quality keeper in his prime but a serious knee injury midway through the 2016/17 season has set him back. We will be signing a keeper as Urwin has returned to Fleetwood. Hopefully he can return permanently.

Curzon make firstbsigning Connor Hughes from Stalybridge.

Interesting one, seen him couple of times, he’s probs the only really good player they had (great start at where I’ll be watching) but the interesting aspect is I feel he doesn’t suit this ‘change in style’ line I was hearing.........wonder if we have decided it’s better for survival to keep the grounded style and hope the others all scramble after the different type of players

I see Michael Nottingham has left Salford probably due to the increasing travelling. Would be an excellent signing for someone in this division.

That looks a pretty good assessment of the festive period games DSL. So 'Merry Christmas & Happy New Year' from all us Boston United supporters!!

I can understand the view of the Stockport faithful when it comes to the Christmas / New Year games, especially as they have a number of clubs that would seem more obvious to play at this time than the ones they have. Just to say though - and to highlight our relatively geographic isolation - that when you played Alfreton it was by the shortest (but not necessarily the easiest) route a 55 mile trip, whereas the obvious Lincolnshire Derby for us v Gainsborough Trinity was 58 miles!!

Incidentally, I know how much County fans 'enjoyed' the antics of our keeper Jon Stewart at Edgeley Park (perhaps many County fans knew about him and stayed away as that night was the lowest NLN gate of the season at EP). That was just one of 10 appearances he made for us before losing his place to the recalled George Willis. Well, Willis has signed on again for 2018/2019 but Stewart has been moved on to Gainsborough Trinity.

Most Boston supporters were never convinced by Stewart, and Willis certainly played very well in the latter part of the season - especially in the consecutive wins v Harrogate Town at home (when he saved a penalty from Joe Leesley, the same as he had done at Harrogate earlier in the season) and at Salford City.

I have a feeling this next season should be a very good one for you lot at Boston Kearsley, think you may now finally have a manager in place to get you going the right direction, if you can use your location to your advantage like Brackley do (In easier words make it a fortress) i can see you being in that top 5 group.

Craig Westcarr the latest to leave us.

Dread think to think were we would be without him. Especially after 2016/17 season where he scored 22 goals in all comps in an awful side. Started this season well but one goal since early October says it all.

He let himself down with his discipline. Needs to go away and decide whether he still has the hunger. If he doesnt hang up his boots I expect him to sign for Basford United.

Still no retained list or info from the club. I can only imagine season tickets are selling like hot cakes.

Adam Roscoe, Kieran Charnock and Jason Walker have all left today. Now people don't have to worry for injury time playoff goals. Roscoe and Charnock were both fairly obvious, both coming to end of the their careers. Walker was quality, will get a club in no time. Stuck with bloody carver for another year.

Curzon made their second signing a right back Danny Morton again from Stalybridge.

Now either we are going to superbly increase the performance of these players or else it is worrying, granted i know our budget will probably now with NFU gone be the smallest in the league, but having watched Staly a couple of times I doubt Stalybridge fans will be at all bothered if all last years players left, let alone them suddenly heading a league higher...........they were at times absolutely abysmal.

According to the Salford City forum they seem to think he's on his way to Blackpool?

Massively surprised by this. Looked like he had ability when he was with us but could count on one had the amount of good games he had.

Nottingham signs for Blackpool.

I agree. Last chance for him to make anything of his career I think

Its rumoured that Billy Heath has told every single one of our squad that they are free to find new clubs. Whole sale changes were certainly needed but clearly if true Billy aint messing around.

Still waiting for a retained list...if there is one! :dk:

Alty have re-signed classy CM player Sean Williams, he was with us in 2014/15 when we were in the National league. He was probably the stand out midfield player in the Evostik Prem last year with Warrington and was MOM every time we played them, not surprised we have signed him up again. Very creative player.

I'm not surprised no retained list DSL. They've all done a runner looking over their shoulders with Billy Heath in hot pursuit shouting i ain't messing around with u lot.......do one.

Leamington have completed their first new signing of the summer with the acquisition of 25-year-old Connor Taylor from Tamworth.

Southport have completed the signings of Andy Parry and Zac Corbett.
22-year-old Corbett, most recently of FC United Of Manchester. 26-year-old Parry re-joins Southport for his third spell at the club.

Good signing that. Have always thought Sean Williams is a good player. Always looks to get on the ball and dictate play.
