We definitely played our get out of jail free card today, we rode our luck at times and got away with it simple as that. I couldn't argue with the performance GS you guys should have won.
I'd expect Guiseley climbing up the league in the coming weeks on this display.
Our biggest single issue with this team is scoring goals. They can be solid and work very hard when at their best, limiting the oppositions ability to create but we don't have a ruthless finisher hence so many draws.

Sad to see the condition of Liam Hughes yesterday, he was a long way from being fit last season with us but he looks to have gained a couple of stone since then. I hope he can get back on track before it's too late.

We're finding a way to chuck away points game after game after game. With the exception of a dreadful 7 min defensive capitulation vs Darlington, I would say in every game I've watched this season (albeit I don't get to many away games - family and busy job) we've been the better side.

But we give away crap goals, miss chances to kill off teams (2 great chances at 2-1 yesterday spunked up the wall - then a second (wind assisted) wonder strike from the Chester player), & don't manage games well. So frustrating. Home to Blyth, then 3 tough tough away games in a row - Stockport, Kiddy and York - we'll probably be out of the playoffs by the time of our subsequent home match which is all the way on Boxing Day!

Kidderminster now favourites for the league despite yesterday? I'd give Chester and Chorley a chance - but it's up for grabs for anyone with some consistency. We lack the ruthlessness & the squad to win it - no injuries, but we have only got 4 subs (and the ancient assistant manager) on the bench these days. No reserve central defenders - don't know what happens if one gets injured.

Shout out to the ref Aaron Bannister today. He managed to make me shout and swear in the last 15 mins of that match possibly more than any other human being ever I think. Some simply awful decisions in particular with physical confrontations e.g with our CF being wrestled back during a potential 1 o n 1 breakaway, only to give the decision the other way.

I can forgive the ref not seeing something, making a mistake etc., but it is hard to take when they can see incidents clearly and then give them the wrong way or worse, cop out of giving tough decisions (my favourite this year being against Nuneaton when their GK lost possession of the ball to the Brackley striker outside the box, then hauled him down when he was through on goal with only one desperate defender rushing back onto the line, only to receive a yellow card - quite possibly the worst decision I've seen in 35 years of watching non-league football - so bad you just had to laugh).
We've had our share of refereeing blunders over the past week including a sending off which has since been rescinded. It evens out over the season , or so people say.

It's not the opposition's fault if the ref's bad - wasn't complaining about Chester. Your number 11 likes a dive, but then both Shep and Mattie Lowe for Brackley aren't slow to go down either....

What an utter shower of shit,we appoint a muppet manager who is out of his depth then our fantastic chairman says he will back manager with funds for new players,
When will ever learn every October/November sack manager, chairmen then backs the manager. That’s next fucked with players already signed up.
Here is a thought McGill use the money to get a good Experianced manager and we might start moving forward.

I gathered that on Saturday it must have been frustrating to watch from a Guiseley's spectator's point of view, knowing with a striker with a keen eye for putting the ball away you'd have been celebrating a couple of goals at least.

I like Liam Hughes he's a fan's favourite, now that he's been switched to a less mobile role at centre back. At the beginning of the season he played in midfield and couldn't move a muscle so he was getting booed and jeered off the pitch on most occasions. He does carry a bit of timber, but he was a lot worse than that in the summer. Thanks GS he's getting their in his new role.

I was surprised to read that Joe Tait was captain of York City. He surely must have changed the game against Bradford by getting himself red-carded? He sometimes can be a bit hot headed now and again.

He's a strange one your chairman like he certainly looks way out of his depth running a big club like York City. I thought McGill had enough a few months ago, and was calling it a day.

What did McGill make his money on?

He has a packaging company but most of money comes from sale of old ground, which is annoying the fan base.it is horrible at the moment and hate going to matches.
Left match Saturday on 48 mins just needed to get out of the place, they actually played well till sending off, then the idiot manager took the atacking central midfielder off, then brings Parkin on at half time who can not run anyway.
Tait this season has been good,Collins probably won’t play him again.

I couldn't get to Curzon on Saturday but by all accounts we dominated and deserved the win. Things are starting to click now it seems which is a real positive. Yeovil away in the FA Cup has probably come at the wrong time. Need to focus on the league ideally!

How on earth have Nuneaton been affording to pay full time wages??

I'd take Adam McGurk at EP. Played very well against us the other week and scored a cracking goal out of nothing.

We totally dominated a poor Ashton side on Tuesday evening creating lots of chances but again could not put the ball in the net. Ashton had one half chance and planted it in the top corner!
Perhaps all these missed opportunities will be repaid on Sunday against Cambridge? I live in hope.

We've signed Russ Penn from York. There was rumours Joe Ironside and Kennedy Digie would be heading to York. That hasn't happened yet but they're cup-tied for them so that could happen on Monday.

Astonishing that Harry Panayioutou is full-time - he's 24 and probably started fewer than 20 games in his career. And he's woefully shit.

Jordan Archer has signed for Southport on a youth loan from Bury

It's not a youth loan, just a standard one. He turns 25 on Sunday! We were sniffing around after him in the summer, but unsurprisingly Chester didn't want to sell to us, and he got a better move for himself eventually anyway.

Great to see Gary Roberts awarded Player of the Month today. Really happy about that.

Had well known issues throughout his career and obviously should be playing far higher up the pyramid. But after finally relenting and giving him a chance (we're his home club, walks to training and home games) he's settled, sensible and doing it on the pitch.

Kiddy signed Russ Penn from us,top bloke and player for us,with him and Chambers hope you piss the league.
Penn will be good for you if you have willing runners in midfield with him,not like the free loaders we have.
He struggles to get past 70 mins though and not sure a 18 month contract is good business.

We've lacked any experience in our midfield so we needed some. With Weeks, Daniels and Williams there we've got plenty of runners so hopefully Penn will work out.

Bottom of the league again for us... We can't lose to the team holding the table up again can we?

Nuneaton were one of the best teams we've seen at the Deva Stadium this season. Probably due to the fact that they've got a bit of stability now. I'd certainly tale Carl Baker and McGurk.

Well beaten today ~~ no complaints. Altrincham the best team we've played this season. Gary Stopforth (our engine) was out today and it showed.

Another great result for FC who are a different animal under their new manager.

As for Hereford
Beadle P8 W3 D2 L3 Position 12th Since Beadle. P8 W0 D3 L5 Position 20th.

Got exactly what they deserved

That was coming, not taking anything away from Alty but I think anyone would have walked away with three points against us today. Completely injury savaged and knackered. Ended up with a striker and winger in the middle of midfield!
