I see AFC Telford have signed Brendon Daniels on loan from Port Vale until January. Yet another club for Daniels

He was disappointing (not terrible, I just expected more) for us earlier this season. He did a fair amount of diving, which didn't fool anyone. No doubt he'll win Telford a penalty at Moss Lane in 10 days.

Darlington fans are clubbing together to raise some cash for the injured Chester midfielder Matty Hughes who has been unable to return to his day job because of the injury.

I'll be handing over the cash, no matter the amount to Scott Burton at HT. Anyone interested in donating a couple of quid. Get in touch with me. All appreciated.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Heath is an odd one. Still wouldn't surprise me if he turned it around into a respectable league position. I seem to remember Halifax weren't really anywhere at Christmas the year he took them up via the playoffs and that was when there were only 4 playoff spots. But to me theyhaven't replaced Denton at all. Styche is a good striker at NLN level but he isn't a target man. He's not particularly tall and if I'm honest I think his heading is one of his worst attributes. Certainly not a like for like on Denton. Don't think they'd get Mark Beck this year. Made 15 appearances for Harrogate this season.

Surprised you think so low. I think you are more solid than that. Thought the Adam Morgan signing would have you looking up the league. Or has his injury record stayed with him?

i dont get to see them as much this season as mostly at Staybridge due to the baby, but i still usually have to add realism to their season, in regards to this league you have 3 clubs in Curzon, Ashton and Leamington whose resources are well well well below most of the rest of this division in terms of budget, crowds, lack of a backer and set-up.........for them 3 clubs 4th or 5th bottom is a bloody good season and none of them should survive here......that Leamington and Curzon seem currently to be comfortable is a testament to how well both currently in a tough league (also gives Ashton hope)

Curzon has some good players now, good wide players (maybe find of the season in Ollie Crankshaw who Wigan and a few FL clubs are checking out) Morgan is ok, defence is always dependable.

but its a think squad, fitness is a killer i think Niall cummins is usually vital but had a bad injury in april keeping him out until september and while i've not seen much to see the effect i am guessing its tough without pre-season to get a part-time player fully fit and he isn't playing much.........Morgan worked well with Cummins so it hasn't been a pairing used much.

plus a couple of years ago Flanagan by chance went 'gung ho' and it worked, we had a horrific start leaking 6 goals to Kiddy and 4 at BPA so he decided to sod it and go for it and that suited our attack players, last year due to having lost them all he played off a strong defence and i guess that has slowed it this year (we don't score many at home)

still it is 'Derby December' coming up, 3 massive games vs FCUM and 2 against Ashton.

We won't win lol. We are actually abysmal at the moment. I'm only coming for the piss up haha.

We are abysmal too, but if you state the obvious on Deva Chat you get all sorts of abuse. Possibly signing a couple today. We definitely need it.

I’ve seen some shocking things in football yet that one has to be one of the more shocking.

He has a side with a 150 fan base in a league of clubs getting usually 800-2000 fans yet puts them in a decent position each year while trying to play an all passing game.

Resiults per resource surely isn’t many do better.............suicidal move by the club I’d say.

Has to be more than meets the eye to this............will find out later on the fan site it’s a small club backlash will be harsh

Shocked to see Flanagan sacked. He's done an amazing job for curzon. For them to be where they are now is down to him a lot.

its a ridiculous decision, am still gobsmacked.......has to be more to it than results.

You cannot expect nor demand a manager to do more with a club the size of Curzon (unless he's had some hidden massive budget none of us seen) they have the second smallest gates and constantly lose their best players within 6-12 months to either a rival or higher club.....therefore need always rebuilt.

How can the club find better, I just don't think they can however hard they look, I firmly believe you give him the team and budget York, Stockport, Chester and co have he'd easily have them in top 1-3 places in division while playing a nice style of football, he'd have got Curzon into play-offs at some point had he not always lost key players each summer.

The best they can now look for is someone who is an equivalent to keep the same going, if they get worse they are in deep deep sh*t and probably will f*ck up 7 years work and end up back down 2 leagues.

If i were Hereford currently i''d dump your manager now and appoint Flanagan.

WOW. Truly staggered to see Flanagan gone at Curzon and such ashort, to the point statement after all he had a chieved for them.

Now to pray that Alfreton`s chairman is on the phone to John NOW to sign him up.

W expect. This news has given me renewed hope of survival though after a pretty negative month of November. Cant think of anybody who could do a better job

Unbelievable decision by Curzon, which I am sure they will regret by the end of the season, Relegation for them I suspect.

And all he got was a late 11pm ‘ta and bye’ statement.

Something just not right on it. I am thinking either a: he applied for other jobs, b: new investor coming in wanting own guy or c: Curzon cannot afford to sustain this level anymore so removed the main reason they stay this level.

And while there isn’t going to be masses of p*ssed off fans after the board their next game it’s usually in these small clubs impossible to dodge board/fan interaction like you can at a bigger club.......board will be housed with questions next home game

..........and that’s only the Ashton Derby

Chester have signed Akwasi Asante from Tamworth on an initial one month loan. He was awful for Tamworth last season

A couple of (much needed) additions for Alfreton ahead of tomorrow`s crunch game at Hereford/

Defender Adam Curry who has previous loan spells at Boston and Spennymoor on loan from Hull until January

Also 22 year old winger Danny O Brien who has had a long spell at Chester and has most recently played in the Finnish third tier.

They love to sign players but don't give a toss about the pitch. I don't know how they get away with it, needs looking into the weather hasn't been that bad.

Rooting for two of our Football League brothers to come up this year. If only one can make it, Chorley, whose success is founded on their fan base, would be most welcome. The rest of you can fuck off. :ds:

One thing's for sure brother, I can't see that position being filled by the Football League brother's of Darlo :ffs:

Tommy Wright's replacement he's blew all our money that he was handed during the summer with mediocre signings. A good bloke but he ain't a manager at the moment.

Not as far as I'm aware. You heard anything on your end that he has?

Yeah on our forum says he's signing for Kidderminster Harriers, apparently he lives in Telford.
So that makes sense i suppose with all the commuting to Darlo.

We're in dire need of a left back so would be great news if true.
