We're in dire need of a left back so would be great news if true.

If it hasn't officially been confirmed at your end, it could be due to maybe the fee for the player? I liked Ben he was pretty decent for this level. I wish him all the best if he's leaving us.

Potentially. Hopefully everything is sorted next week if it is true. Looking at your forum it's said it's hit a snag so it's probably the admin side.

Okay mate, It'll be a smart move for him if the deal goes through as you can see we are pretty dire at the moment. Plus he's only a young lad that Harrogate didn't want. He's definitely got potential in the right team.

Rooting for two of our Football League brothers to come up this year. If only one can make it, Chorley, whose success is founded on their fan base, would be most welcome. The rest of you can fuck off. :ds:
Who are those 2. I think you can forget about us.

Hoping to get our challenge back on track today, no further distractions now so total commitment to promotion. Difficult game expected with Boston, but hopefully we have most of our squad available for selection.

One thing's for sure brother, I can't see that position being filled by the Football League brother's of Darlo :ffs:
Well you won't with that attitude. 7 points off the play-offs, more than half the season left- you can do this. #Come OnDarlo. :woot:

Any 2 from 5. Oh for God's sake stand up straight, push those shoulders back! #ComeOnCity. :woo:

Great win for us today after playing the last hour with 10 men. All hail Akwasi Asante. Hat-trick on debut. Not a dirty match, but Darlo lucky to keep 11 men on the pitch. Our sending off for 2 yellows was perhaps a bit harsh.

Also a massive thank you to Darlo fans who contributed to a good atmosphere and also to Matty Hughes's fund.

Our worst performance of the season - poor today. And not good enough to grind something out. Only got 14 players, and they looked lackluster. Crap goalkeeping for goal 1, and thought Lewis should have saved the second too, albeit I was someway away from it. So frustrating - if we could just have last year's league season this year. Keep waiting for us to 'click' but coming to believe we won't.

Don't worry you're away to us next that's a guaranteed 3 goals for you

We were poor today. It was clear that Boston's keeper was shite but we didn't test him at all in the first half. The referee had no clue how to ref the game, poor for both sides

Thought we looked much better today after a dodgy spell in the past few weeks, feared a long afternoon was ahead when Mooney was sent off early but to be honest it was pretty comfortable.

Fuming with Mooney, absolutely brainless and the most obvious two bookings you’ll see on a football pitch. He even kicked the ball away in between them before a Darlo free kick as well.

Stunning debut from Asante, a real handful and finished off his chances really well.

Has already been mentioned but thank you to the Darlo fans who contributed towards Matty’s fundraiser. Class fans.

I'd like to re-iterate that comment on Darlington fans. That was a tremendous gesture to raise the amount they did towards the fundraiser. To me it was a cracking game, at least in part because of the way we played with ten men for an hour. Darlington contributed by being attack minded: they have some nice clever players, but essentially lacked quality up front and were a bit suspect at the back.
All in all a grand afternoon's entertainment.

Seems we have signed Josh Gowling from Alfreton.

A win is a win and I am delighted. We have to try and win at Guiseley next week as fixtures after that are very tough.

Embarrassing. Billy Heath`s position is untenable.

He has simply run out of ideas and has clearly loss the dressing room.

We looked like a total rabble today. Eleven individuals. No team spirit or structure or a plan.

Hereford were poor and almost managed to somehow not beat us!

Heath OUT!!! Ready made astute in this league awaiting in John Flanagan

Biggest thing for me was not one die hard fan in the away end could make a case for Billy continuing. Says it all.

We've only lost two at home, usually pretty solid and have most players back from injury now so hoping we can push on.

Gowling has been treated terribly by Heath. After the huge efforts made to get him here from Torquay it disappointing to see him leave in such circumstances.

He is an ok defender and certainly better than Riley who is dire. That said he is very much in the twlight of his career and will probably retire at the end of the season

I can't see it happening, but we could do with something from the game with BPA, Kiddy, Chester, and Chorley coming up.

Happy to have some experience in the side, most of our signings have been under 24.

Up to 4th! Madness, considering where we were after that dire Curzon game.

A similar pattern to last season - indifferent start, and a crap FA cup defeat started a long unbeaten league run.

Chester 3 Darlington 1

I agree with all the Chester fan's summary of today's game we didn't deserve anything from today's match. Pretty dismal really lacking in passion and commitment from each individual in a Darlo shirt. Apart from Joe Wheatley he was probably our most influential player on the day with a brilliant strike to give us a slight chance of getting something out of this game.

Which for me was the turning point of this match at 2-1? We sort of sprung to life for about 10 minutes and had Chester on the back foot, until, we were on the attack and did the ball cross the line for a corner? But got headed clear with Darlo player's arms up in the air Chester broke and scored at the other end. A lot of angry fans tried desperately to have words with the linesman, did he make a judgement error?

Anyway today was all about Asante, what a find, he was a class act far too good for us, we couldn't handle him whatsoever. Keep hold of him guys he'll take you up on this performance.

Big thanks to Andy Park and all the Darlo fan's for contributing towards the collection.

Had a fantastic day out in Chester, a few beers in The Square Bottle, Queens Head and Off the Wall. And a massive sing song opposite The Square Bottle until the police arrived:brill:

Keep it up, I've got a nice little each-way wager on Alty at 25/1.

Hmm, this reminds me of a certain individual that is beginning to piss me off, absolutely clueless with his arms folded. I can't take anymore of this clown.
