Regarding Morley and Johnson, the Salford documentary didn’t paint them in the best light and it was carefully edited. Everyone loves to hate them and I didn’t know what to expect when they were appointed but after getting to know them better and conversing with them a bit I can genuinely say they are two great down to earth lads who have time for anyone and just love a bit of banter.

We love them, I think most would if they were on your side actually. I think today the ref was so bad for us for the first 80 minutes that even the small things like taking throw ins from the wrong place got people going. We were just all fed up with the clown.

I wish we had them, i use to have a bit of craic with them in the Salford day's giving them a bit of grief in a nice sort of way :bg:

Wasn't able to go unfortunately but seems our fans are saying you're a shadow of the team you've been in the past 2 seasons. We made mistakes but your front line failed to punish them.

Happy with the clean sheet and win, now onto Curzon in 2 weeks.

Not sure what's happening with Ben, but he played well today for us.

What a sorry state of affairs, I could be completely wrong here and feel free to correct but it sounds like the move back to Darlo has been a bit of a disaster? Where's the council support in all this, do they not want a football team for the town?

I genuinely do hope you get sorted and we can resume/restart a rivalry, no matter how much they try Gateshead just doesn't cut it.

Council hate us with a passion they don't want a football team, I'm not sure where all the bitterness has come from with the council.

As for rivalry their is zero chance of that ever happening, struggling to stay afloat at the moment without the fan's money. And that's gotta give way at some stage.

wont be attending again to Mr Heath has gone at least...

And that will achieve what? Grow a backbone and SUPPORT your team. There are many reasons why I've skipped a game, I never skipped one because we were shit. :bdick:

Oooosh, our conversation (if you remember it) back in August, where we both massively over-estimated our clubs chances for this season (which you do annually, to be fair) seems a long time ago now.

Right now finishing 4th bottom would be a result for us. The fans have lost interest, there is no money, I don't have the foggiest where we go next. We're back to only having 11 senior players in the match day squad again, we are wafer thin when we have a handful of injuries. We can't defend, we can't score.

I'd hope Wright resigns because we can't afford to sack him.

At least you have the luxury of a chequebook chairman.

I hope you guys can get through this sticky patch. You have a lot of people at Chester FC rooting for you after your generosity (for Matty Hughes) and good support at us recently.

It’s embarrasing never thought I’d get to a point of not caring.still go to home games but can not force myself to go away.
Collins is clueless and we were miles better under Gray with same players.
It’s rumoured we have 6 players on a grand a week who couldn’t give a toss.
Chairman has let previous managers hand big contracts out and stuck with them till at least end of this season.

York could do with Flanagan. A manager with experience of getting players to work hard. Suppose it would need another sacking

Don’t get York at all... unlike Stockport who endured administration and fire sales to sink to the depths of the NLN, York have just been really really shit for about 5 years straight... no financial meltdown has caused it... never known anything like it in football. From League Two play-offs in 2014 to a genuine mid table tier 6 side with no financial trouble is bizarre. On crowds of 2,000-2,500 too...

Awful conditions in Warwickshire on Saturday. Leamington looked like they were going to defeat Chorley until a 95th minute equaliser prevented them. Only 4 minutes added on, conceded in the 5th...quite a painful one! Probably a fair result but the game lacked quality at times due to the weather!

Do you want him back, runs and put effort in but nothing else.
We have gone backwards under Collins, seriously only think Bartlett,Griffiths,Burrows and Wright worth keeping.
Hawkins has done nowt for about 4 seasons, 110 games and 2 goals, both scored in the same match, he’ll be out the door at the end of the season.

Gray's first signing David Ferguson not amongst those players, how is he? I thought he was great at Darlo, especially that first game of the season down at Salford.

Thanks 'Railway Blue' much appreciated. We dug deep on the day in order to raise money for a good cause to help Matty and his family. I hope he makes a full recovery.

Unlucky there Nick. Colby Bishop looks a good replacement for Stenson. Where did you get him from?

I think the result was probably fair really. If you had asked us for a draw beforehand, we'd have taken it! Never easy to take right at the end of the game though!

I think Colby Bishop was signed from Worcester at the beginning of the 17-18 season. He suffered an ACL injury last December and only returned from it at the end of October. Stenson left for Solihull just around the time Colby was close to a return. He has been brilliant and very much like a new signing!

Cracking win for County tonight. Spenny had scored 15 in their previous two outings but by all accounts couldn't find a way past Palmer & Stott (and Keane/Turnbull in front). It's just so frustrating that we can pull out performances like this/Chorley/Yeovil... then look like a bunch of individuals that've just met, like against Brackley & Nuneaton.

If we can stop that schizophrenia then I'd bet on us flying up the table - especially looking at it the way things stand tonight, with the whole top half covered by just ten points.

Very good result for Stockport tonight, and a good result for us as a by product. County, if they play as they did against us recently are a good side and will climb the table.

Am shocked Heath is still in a job, I am guessing Alfreton have flogged that much money in summer on Heath and his group of players they cannot afford to get rid.

Darlo I think also only keeping manager down to money but think they are quite open about it.

Could see either drop, making for an open relegation battle

Looking forward to Chorley at the weekend, fuck knows why I am going like.

But hey ho, another day on the booze with the lads to tolerate watching that bag of crap.

I am shocked too Big Dave and its shows how much of a deep hole we have got ourselves in with our scatter gun approach to signings. 46 different players used last season and 30 odd this season all ready.

Oh and then there is all the effort that went in to agreeing Josh Gowling`s loan from Torquay only for him to quit the job after being frozen out by Heath and to sign for our relegation rivals.

Billy`s position is untenable. 2 wins in the last 12. Its worse than when McDermott went last season.

The loss of support is no surpise due to players there for the paypacket only and the little matter of 6 home wins in 15 months apparently

I think most had thought Alfreton would have been a good shout for promotion this season with Heath and his usual band of merry men. But the departure of Denton has spoke volumes as to Billy Heath's reliance on Denton himself.

He's tried to replace him with Hobson and Styche unsuccessfully and even the use of Peniket (who isn't exactly small) just doesn't cut it. He needs Denton to succeed.

I struggle to have sympathy for Alfreton as a club (rightly or wrongly) because of the actions of Callum Keane (ironically whose brother now plays for us) last season who successfully broke Kallum Mantack's leg and tried to do the same to Adam Thomas at the Impact 'Arena' last year. Now I appreciate he is only one player, but the clubs lack of remorse or punishment of the player for a simply disgusting, cowardly act speaks volumes.

I do however have sympathy for the supporters of Alfreton and great respect for DSL who seems to be serves up a big stinking pile of it year on year.

Good post MWS and I respect your view. At the end of the day it was an horrible challenge and the timing of it so soon after half time can leave a sour taste in the mouth.

In a roundabout way Cieron Keane was disciplined. He never played as a defender for us after after and was utlised as a useful winger for the remainder of the season.

Once Billy came in he was literally frozen out. Being barrred from entering the training sessions and just told to find a new club.

I expect our game Saturday week to be a defeat we are very much a rabble like the two games last season
