4 times. We've beaten Alty 4 times this season without conceading.
Yes I know, that was remarkable,... those games came at a time when we were still finding our feet and struggling with players/injuries/suspensions etc (indeed Hulme got sent off in the first game vs you and them missed about 9 games I think overall), we now have a settled side with a great bench too.
The only reason I think Chorley might win is their spirit is impressive and its going to be a right battle. TBF nobody can predict what will happen, pressure affects people in different ways. You both deserve to go up really, we wouldnt want to play either of you in a playoff final !

Yup, you couldnt make it up !
Our keeper had played well and it was desperately unlucky.
As usual we started well, missed 2 clear chances before taking lead with a delected free kick.
Brackley just sat 11 men behind the ball and were hard to break down.
We lost 2 defenders to injury which didnt help and they equalised with a breakaway and it had draw written all over it until the last minute disaster, the 4 Brackley fans celebrated into the night :fl:

That happened to us last season at home to Darlington. We were 1-0 up and cruising to 3 points when Gary Stopforth passed it all the way back from the half way line to Hinchliffe which bobbled over the keepers foot and into the net.

They are a well supported outfit are our Brackley :fl:

Really :pond: From what I remember, we went 1-0 when Syers intercepted the ball and squared it to Stephen Thompson who put it in the bottom corner?

Or do you mean the year before when it ended 3-3 and none of our goals were scored how you indicated.. :pmsl:

When you have just lost to a last minute comedy goal, you are entitled to be bitter. The narrative does need correcting - at least 50 Brackley, most of us came in cars, and left our scarves at home because of the Alty ultras (joke, buddy!). More seriously, the game I watched had Brackley with as much possession over the 90 minutes, probably the more incisive moves in the second half (Alty had those first half but seemed to tire), and the equaliser as some Alty purist suggested earlier, "was coming". Draw would have been a fair result, but we`ll take the three. Sets up a tasty last ten days - Stockport and Chorley, we`re coming for you!! Can`t imagine both will disintegrate, but you never know in football. I`d settle for second place, two potential homes games at Fortress St James` Park.

Reasons to be cheerful only 2 games left, then can release most of squad.
Very happy with Watson who seems to have organised a crap squad and looking forward to new season.

Another hard fought victory in the basking sunshine at BM against a well organised BPA side who were slightly unfortunate to come away with nothing from this game. Jake Turner once again was outstanding in goal with some breathtaking saves in the first period in which we possibly could have been trailing by at least two goals at half-time, we also managed to keep Jake Beesley from having little activity, other than his early chance.

Referee once again was absolutely useless. The pitch wasn't all that great either.

We managed to see more and more of the game in the second half and caused a few problems for Bradford with one or two chances, but their was only one player that would pull this game out of the fire and that was Thommo with another one of his specials.

That's 3 out of 3 slowly making a late surge up the table, slightly baffled with the away support considering they are in the play-offs? They had more flags than fan's.

Onwards to Guiseley for 4 out of 4 must have a great chance :shut:

Will Newton still be there next season? Could always play him as a striker that og for our first equaliser was a cracker.

Season over for us. Terrible first half where we looked like we were on the beach. Second half was basically played in the Leamington box but somehow we didn't score. Need to start building for enxt season drop players who don't want to be here and play some youth to see if they can make the step up.

Also Harry Flowers has returned to Solihull after we subbed him at half time yesterday to change our formation. He said he was "treated unfairly" the lad will get nowhere in the game with that attitude. But you were right about him GuiseleySteve.

Get used to it... I've had 3 years or so of people taking the mick out of Brackley for being small. My argument, as ever, is that we're the smallest town at National League level and the percentage of the town's population to support ration compares favourably to the bigger teams. The achievement is being at a level which includes such fallen giants as York, Stockport etc. I remember when the visit of Kettering seemed like a big big team coming to play.

Hope Stockport win today - nothing against Chorley, but I'd like Stockport out of the division to make it easier in future.

currently 2-0 to Chorley, if it stays that way they go top - but looking at the fixtures Stockport are probably still favourites... anyone know the crowd?

What a performance that was. Every player gave their all today. Warburton missed an absolute sitter in the first few minutes of the second half and that's when I knew it was our day. Two more cup finals!

And your favourite player at Chorley made no mistake when his chance came in the second half, hope he bags a couple more on Monday at Spennymoor.

Have to say he was good today. Don't care who scores as long as we win! Was a good goal as well

No complaints about today. Chorley by miles the better side and deserve top spot.

Not holding out much hope for the playoffs either as (Chester excepted) we haven't looked anywhere near our best for weeks.

We started with youngster Ewan Murray on Friday. He scored a worldie, had an assist and was m-o-m. I wish he'd played in our 6-0 hammering v Stockport. I'm not saying we'd have won, but it wouldn't have been 6-0.
