Can we just end the season now? Yesterday was our WORST ever home defeat in our history.

Yesterday took the biscuit frankly An absolute outrage.

We started ok in the first 10 or so and should have gone 1 up but as soon as we went went 1 down our heads just completely dropped.

It got so bad that we just fucked off the final minutes. Jordan Sinnott who llokks like he would like to be anywhere but the Impact Arena every week is strangely our designated penalty taker missed yet another penalty.

Dickhead Styche was subbed at half time and judging by his social media posts following the game posing in a Darlo shirt he can fuck off. We are so gullible in the transfer market its actually scary. Offered Styche good wages and now he appears to have just played us.

At least his goals has kept us up. Thats a small crumb of comfort.

As for Mr Heath what can you say?

Have you ever heard a manager come out and say after a 7-0 mauling that. he isnt interested in ability or anything, will just pick players who will give everything.

What sort of manager comes out and pubically say he isnt interested in players with ability? :ffs::ffs::surr:

The starting XI on Tuesday will be very interesting. Although with the worst and second worst home defeat in the clubs history he shouldnt be given the opportunity

Every time I check the Conference North thread, I'm shocked to see Heath is still in charge!

Hi DSL,.. What I can't get my head round is that you were 6 unbeaten, 4th in form league and had conceded like 4 goals in 6 games,.. we were expecting a tight game and first few minutes you were well on top,... but then got the opposite. I dont think we actually played any better than normal, your players just gave up once we got a couple. Never rated Styche, always seems to have had a bad attitude wherever he's been. Hope you can get yourself sorted over the summer.

Disagree about Styche, he had a fantastic attitude when he was with Darlo.

Can’t wait to see him inevitably put back on the black and white stripes of Darlington FC.

Darlington must be the only club where he hasn’t fallen out with everyone. He was a complete disaster here.

Aye he was bang on with us, loved by the fans.

We also seen a different side to him when we were in Eindhoven for the pre-season piss up. That was unreal to say the least.

It takes extremely serious circumstances for me to be a Chester FC fan but tonight those circumstances are happening, but it is for one night only! Come on Chester.

FT Alfreton 1-1 Hereford.

Not one that will long in the memory but its a point afters Saturdays horror show. Thought Hereford can feel unlucky to not take all three.

Urgh. Season cannot end soon enough for us. And that is the THIRD straight season I have said that.

On the away back from Chester

More than a little drink

All fairness to Chester they weren't as bad as Alfreton in December but County made chances and took them really well

I'm starting to think we might have a chance of going up

I've been supporting Chester for 60 years and that was the worst home performance in that time. I've said on Deva Chat that these two frauds Bern and Jonno need to go asap. Apologies Chorley as we seem to have handed the title to Stockport. We're a long way from the game at Edgeley Park where were robbed of victory by a dreadful penalty decision. Not one Chester player escapes criticism tonight, they were all dreadful.

Like a number of County fans I think your lot we're the best side to visit EP this season, everyone knows you've had a torrid time with injuries, and tonight we'd have put several past any team in the league, so I think you're being a bit harsh

Hardly harsh. I've followed Chester for 60 years. We lost 7-1 at home to Brighton in 1999, but the players had downed tools because of Mad Terry (American owner). This season under Bern and Jonno we've had our worst away result since 1962 (8-1 at Blyth) and tonight. The club is seriously on the brink. We've lost around 500 supporters this season after McCarthy's abysmal time at the club. I cannot renew my season ticket next season if these 2 frauds are still at the club.. We haven't been able to do even the basics all season. If they've any sense of the hurt this result has caused they should walk tonight.

Bit late in replying but I thought Styche had a great attitude during his spell here. But he clearly thought very highly of Askey as a manager so seemingly his attitude attitude problems are down to issues with the management, which at Alfreton seems likely - likewise Kiddy in their relegation season.

Elsewhere good to see County doing so well - having them on next season's fixture list would ease the pain of relegation a little should we go down. But having witnessed Chester's recent 'performance' at Alty, I doubt they put up too much of a fight.

To be fair Styche's attitude in our relegation season was very good, i'd probably go as far as saying he was one of two players who shown any fight that season (him and Whitfield). He's a decent player but his personality on the pitch can certainly be eccentric.

Well. The task is simple for us but not easy at all, if we win all of our games we will win the league, but I can't see that happening. Think whoever doesn't win it out of us 2 will be hard done by, also good to see an actual title race for once, with the previous years titles being wrapped up with games to spare.

Me too, credit where its due he was a decent striker for us, we've never had one since he left other than the magic feet of Andy Nelson.

Good to hear he's still got taste and kept his Darlo shirt.

Totally agree he is a good player if he can manage to stop mouthing off to the officials and concentrate on what's going on around him.

Stockport finally on their way back? That would be a tasty one next season. If we can get Macc and Notts County down too the North / South balance would be slightly addressed in this hell hole

Kiddy fans how is Ed Williams doing now? Started the season on fire and was being chased by a host of clubs allegedly but haven't heard of many goals for him recently.

He carried us in the first half of the season but got injured on boxing day and missed 2 months. Came back scored on his return but hasn't found the net since. He did hit the post on the weekend so he's getting closer to scoring

He's still a great player but teams just kick him when he gets the ball so he's struggled to find space recently. We've got him tied down for another year so if anybody wants him still they'll have to pay.

Have to agree, sadly whilst I think we may beat Stockport at home I think we may find Alty a major problem on Saturday, so I too think its Stockport as Champions, but it has been a great title race.

Nothing really to add about last night's game at Chester, but got to make mention of the absurd amount of policing, easily a hundred of them in their all-black crowd control gear. I know County & Chester fans have our unruly elements , but it was a division six (north) game ffs. I've seen smaller police presence at higher up games with more risk of trouble.

Many thousands of pounds to ensure some coppers get to stand around looking bored. I'm sure they'll justify it by saying there was no bother, and if you believe that then I'd like to sell you this whistle that scares away grizzly bears (if you don't see one near by, then that just proves it works)

Stockport look unstoppable now. Now they've hit the top, their deep roots as a Football League club will make sure they stay there. A MASSIVE game coming a week on Saturday, all same- all ticket is it?

Fucking hell, Chester! :ffs:

Tickets for Chorley away are now like gold dust (if they weren't already before!) Some people apparently went from Chester to EP last night to queue for the last few Chorley tickets which will go on sale at 12pm I think. Absolute madness!

This Saturday could be season defining. We win at home the Blyth and Chorley lose away at Altrincham then we could win the title at Victory Park (I think Brackley need to drop points as well for this to happen). If we lose and Chorley win, then the game at VP become a must win for us, to get us back on top with fixtures against Curzon at home and Nuneaton away to clinch it.

It's all very exciting!
