Grew up in Telford. Moved around the country & lived abroad a bit. Settled 20 yrs ago in Brackley. Simple really.

You’re well out of Telford. Delighted to have stopped those cockwombles from making the trophy final. Chucked coins at our bench, assaulted our fans, intimidated families and racially abused our players. What a bunch of tossers.

Another polished performance, and now coming off the Tattenham corner and into the home straight for the race for the title.

We play Stockport on Saturday we should be chilled out by then if we can manage to motivate ourselves on Wednesday night by beating Chester at home.
Don't worry. There's only Nuneaton with a worse away record than us and we haven't played for 2 and a half weeks. Home banker.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Guisley 0- curzon in probably the game which may define if we have a chance of 7th spot, can get very close if win.

all Guisley currently, but Curzon doing what they usually are superb at.......digging in and keeping game tight while slowly growing into it.

Not sure about a home banker? I certainly wouldn't back us to win two on the trot, we are very unpredictable this season. And the Nuneaton game wasn't all that great with two poor sides on show.

We've still got fans who think we'll make a play-off spot. While that's a mathematical possibility we've the worst away record in the league over the last 10 away games and that includes Nuneaton. We've also still got to play Chorley, Stockport and Brackley at home although we did manage draws and were the better team in the first two of those away games.

18 days since our last game, feels like a lifetime ago. Believe that Saturday was our 11th weekend without a league game this season.

Anyway, tonight is a must win for us really, got to turn this rubbish away form around though.

Draw would have been the fairest result but we were probably due some luck on the road. We looked quite sharp and decent in the first half but lost our way in the second half, dug in well though to get a much needed three points.

Darlington 0 Chester 1

For all the possession we had in this game we just couldn't break down a solid back line with an added bonus of some great goalkeeping from Shenton. Another strange performance overall from the lads after Saturday's gritty win against Nuneaton. Although this match tonight we probably did enough in respect to warrant at least a draw. But that's football for ya!!

As for Tommy with his arms folded most of the game he looked bored shitless, could of at least made some sort of effort with these so called new signings being introduced at some stage of the game :pond:He couldn't be arsed.

I bet the two Chester lads i was talking too are eating humble pie after telling me how bad their keeper is shortly after we kicked off. They did emphasize they needed to win tonight to have any chance of making the play-offs.

What a miserable season roll on Leamington at home

Your goalkeeper was the difference between the two sides, he was man of the match by a country mile with some great reflex saves.
Shenton gets a lot of stick from Chester fans, but I personally don't have a problem with him as we were stuck with Danby and Worsnop for years.

As for the comments about our defence. We've conceded 10 in our last three away games.

Struggling to find anything to say about that game last night.

We made a very average Chester team look decent. We just couldn't take what chances we did have, looked scared to shoot at times.

Had a good chat after the game with the Chester fans, proper sound blokes who had nothing but praise for Darlo fans and all we've done over the last 6/7 years for our club.
Can see them managing us one day to be honest.

Bailed on Stockport away at the weekend, I just don't have it in me to go down there and watch us lose again.
The Telford, Hereford and Nuneaton away games in the last 3 weeks has done me in. Spent a fortune.

Well, it means what it reads?

They've got a good rapport with the Darlo fans, always complimentary to who we are/what we've achieved and so forth. A lot of mutual respect from both sides.

So in essence, I wouldn't be surprised if they managed us ONE DAY.

We've signed Gilchrist on loan from Southport. Remember him doing brilliantly for them last year (and FC) but obviously not this season, hopefully just a case of him not not being suited to Watsonball

Stockport sign Gilchrist while we sign Shaun tuton on loan from spennymoor who has 2 goals this season. Not a very inspiring signing. Questions have to be asked if our somewhat title rivals are allowing him to join us.

Something about it doesn't add up. He's scored nowhere near as many goals as last season, but hasn't been given a good run in the side. We've got a far better record with him in the team than without him.

He's meant to be our top earner, and he's been transfer listed for "financial reasons", this despite two directors shoving money up the club's arse and a decent income from the FA Cup this season. There has been a steady trickle of off-the-pitch staff leave recently too, many of whom were brought in by the new owners. I suspect there may be more behind this than football reasons.

Tuton should still be a good player - was with us less than two years ago and was a hard-working right-sided forward rather than a goalscorer. I wouldn't worry about his ability, but he does get through a lot of clubs.

If it'd been December through February you'd have a point, but we've wobbled a bit through March. Brackley and the Fylde games have shown us up somewhat, struggled against Ashton towards the end, could be a banana skin this weekend. Still not sure what to make of the Gilchrist signing, the best thing about having Mulhern is how he presses from the front which suits the rest of the team so well, can't remember what kind of player he is but if he's closer to an Oswell-style stay-high-and-wait kind of striker then it could disrupt us

Tuton started the season with us and played in our 3-0 win at Curzon. Spennymoor then put 7 days notice on him. It seems he'd have been better off sticking with us.

If you have a midfielder who can pick out slide rule passes in behind defensive lines for him to run onto he'll shine. Hopeless with his back to goal he's far too polite to fight for the ball. It also takes him a couple of seconds to process what's happening around him so the defenders have two yards start on him as they've read the situation far quicker. Really nice guy - probably too nice on the pitch!
If he could add some ruthless aggression to his game he could have easily doubled his goal tally of 14 this season for us. It's the main reason we're in the position we're in.

plenty of midfielders, one or two of who can sometimes find a player in the same shirt, but he cant do any worse than the strikers we have used so far, think our top scorer is on 6 /7 and thats nearly all pens, will reserve judgement for the moment.
