Yep I'll add to the Stockport well done posts. Always enjoyed going there and their long suffering fans deserve it.

Fully expecting us to be going back to our rightful place here next season as fully bonafied Northerners. I'd suspect Oxford will be too, as Braintree's road network looks way better suited to the South. But it's the FA making that decision, so who bloody knows.

I'd suggest had we been in the North this season we would have gone down but tough to say. Marc Richards' team was unimaginative, frankly boring to watch and set out to frustrate but probably had enough to survive. Sounds to me like he's done exactly the same at Hereford. The Chris Todd "era" for us was disastrous, taking us from being fairly comfortable mid-table to being battered by Weston and in relegation trouble with a team full of mostly crap loans and a completely unhappy dressing room.

Mike Cook has then turned us into a side that has been in the top 5 or 6 form wise for quite some time now. Hoping he stays, and although it's highly unlikely, if we can keep Fabien Robert...

Would you like to remind us where you are up to with getting back to Gloucester.

About 30 miles away! :animatedf:

Basically the amended plans need to be approved by the council, again. I'm under the impression that should (hopefully) occur within the next couple of weeks and then that clears the path to various funding grants (But if the council screw us over we'll need to wait months again for it all to come round again). Should those two things happen and its all positive then potentially some time next year (within the 19/20 season) we can move back home. Both Evesham and Gloucester have been registered with the National League for next season.

With the greatest respect to Evesham, the ground is soulless and we're losing fans with the extra travelling and lack of any atmosphere/cover.

Alty are best team seen this season but if don’t go up could see Stockport sniffing round for better players.
Alty perhaps the best team on their day, but as I say earlier it's consistency that gets you out of this division and they've lacked it. There's got to be some Ashley Palmers/Jordan Keanes out there for them to pick up & solidify the team around, if so they'd be among the favourites for next year

Are you returning to your previous stadium or is it a new build?

New stadium built on the existing site about 8 foot higher. The old stadium is long gone.

Not that it matters but daft how we somehow didn't pick up three points at Alfreton. Comfortably better but didn't take our chances and switched off at the back twice.

I don't believe we had less than a third of that gate today either, couldn't see that many home fans to be honest. Hope they get Heath out, that would be a start in rebuilding.
Yeah. Fortunate to take a point but to be fair we battled hard and played better when down to 10.

Worrying times for us
Wayne seems at the end of his tether in his programme notes.

He seems to be blaming the fans.

"Next season will be different at the Impact Arena. It will have to be. We will try our best but it will be interesting how many true supporters we will have by the end of it"

If it was a results business our attendances would be up would they not" - Er no. We have shipped 7 at home on two occassions and only won 5 home games all season.

Be interesting to see how the summer pans out. At the moment I worry for us.

Can only agree that we were inconsistent, especially early doors as only just promoted and were finding our feet, we were about 5th bottom after about 10 games I think. On players,... the sniffing has aready started but weve got everyone on contract already :fing:

We have most players tied down for next year, but 3 important players still not sure on. Scott leather and the Newby brothers. Would be a huge blow losing even 1 of these.

Which Newby plays behind the strikers? It looks like we’re going to need a replacement for Warburton.

Every team with ambition to go up next season should be over the moon Stockport have gone up.personally hope they do again next year.
Plus would like one of Chorley or $pendymore in play offs,Chorley always organised and strong but missing out on title could really effect them,

Add the fact Farsley Celtic are up and probably Oxford City and Gloucester moving over it could be weakest North for a while.
South Shields are in play offs but another bank rolled club though.
Parkinson has done a great job at Alty but i doubt we will be looking at any of their players.

If Chorley don't go up, Alex Newby has to be on our shopping list - I believe he's still keen to play for his hometown club (Elliott not so much), and he's class.

I'd happily take Leather and Newby from Chorley. Both very good players and should be playing at a higher level.

Hi all a new self entitled and arrogant member from Stockport here just like to introduce myself to everyone and ask for views on the playoffs. With no disrespect to BPA I really can't see them going very far. Of the others I thought that Spartans might have a chance even with 3 away games but as Robbie Dale is off on holiday(??) and they have a few injury worries I fear that they will fall short. I really can't choose between the other four but even though Alty, Spenny and Brackley are all in good form Chorley are a much better team at home than away (as we found out) and as long as their heads haven't dropped they may just be good enough. PS. I don't really mind who goes up as long as it isn't Brackley - no offence but apart from the 3-0 away the other year we never do well against you and the National League is Southern enough already.

So for the uninformed (me) do Farsley have a benefactor pumping cash in, or just had a good season? Know about South Shields, but any other side in the Evo North play offs likely to be financially well backed?

Is Kettering's stadium all good for the National League?

Declan Weeks has signed a new deal here for next season. Good to keep him around if we can get him and Milan Butterfield playing regularly together it will help our midfield problems.

Disappointed with this. Don't think a Declan Weeks will get you out of this league.

Basically a centre half when he plays he drops that deep, allowing the opposing midfielders as much time as they want on the ball. Also too lightweight. Good technically though.
Butterfield on the other hand, i'd like to keep him.

Quick news from us big earners Parkin and Parslow released who haven’t played this season.
Paddy McLaughlin who has been on loan since Watson came in has signed a 2 year year deal, him and Burgess in centre midfield are main reason we started doing better.really hope later signs as well.

Free food and free entry for 1,500 Farsley Celtic fan's for their last game of the season.
The last match of the season saw chairman John Palmer and his family stand down from the board, rescued the club from dark depths of administration, reforming initially as Farsley AFC.

A new era now begins under the leadership of new chairman Paul Barthorpe.
So I'd probably say they are not short of a bob-or-two.

Are you in need of a centre half? I'd rather put pins in my eyes than watch Burn again.
You were right he's not worth a shite.

What, even with all 4 relegated sides being Southern? (Maybe not Braintee)

Well that still leaves Ebbsfleet, Sutton, Bromley, Barnet, Dover, Dagenham & Redbridge, Maidenhead, Borehamwood, Yeovil, Torquay + 1 and probably Eastleigh - so yes.

That’s less than half of the division!

Good luck to McLaughlin, garbage in this league.

Not Burn but seriously Parslow is a model professional and would be a good signing for you or anyone in this league.
We also have Bencherif and Law would not wish them on anyone and will drive them down to you.
