Thank you all for your congrats, we don't do things the easy way though do we? Thank God for Matty Urwin, 3 more penalty saves to add to the 3 last week, what a keeper he is, by God I am going to enjoy this summer. When are the fixtures out, when do we get Noots Co at Victory Park, at last a big club called County to play against, not like the other buggers

Bad luck Spennymore. Nice fans, although I don't like their manager!

A bit of me is feeling they get to feel how we felt last week, ahead in the penalty shoot out and then the misery of throwing it away... but overall got to have sympathy as its such a crap way to go out and lose a whole season's work...

Let me spell this out to you- your shitty little club is not, never has been and never will be worthy of a place in the National League Premier. You could not. even sustain your place in your current league if you didn't have somebody tipping buckets of cash into your club. :£:£:£

Well done Chorley - fantastic achievement to pick yourselves up after the ups and downs of the last couple of weeks of the season. A proper club with a good set of fans and a decent away day.

To be fair it wasn't a decent away day the first time we went there- we had the place to oursleves, there was nobody else there. :fl:

the thought of being in the same league as Spennymoor doesn't bear thinking about.

Think how we felt sharing a division with Dagenham this year.

We’ll done Chorley; pleased we’re not around to say hello, mind.

Congrats to Chorley and especially our ex player Scott Leather who was decent at NL level for us as well. Friendly club doing things the right way.

Thanks Alty Pieman, your fans were a credit last week as were the Spenny fans today.

Hey buddy - it`s about the future, not the past. Spennymoor have built great momentum, and if you are talking about Brackley, it`s a brilliantly run little club which punches way above its weight. Great match day experience, great football, great burgers, what more do you want?

Deserved promotion for Chorley, although they didn’t half make it difficult for themselves with all those penalty misses. Well done in the end though.

As I think you're pretty new to the forum, let me introduce you to B2TF. For some reason - perhaps loneliness - he continues to spend time trolling on the Nat North forum, despite his club no longer being in the division. Pretty much slags off every small club, and much else besides. Is frankly a bit of a tosser, best ignored. Would say I feel sorry for his wife, but I'd bet a fair few quid he isn't married.

Obviously I was talking about you! I've been there and twice it's an awful ground. As for being "brilliantly run", what a joke! Since when did tipping truckloads of cash into a club make it brilliantly run? The clubs that are "brilliantly run" are those who thrive on their own merits as a viable concern. You bought your way into Conference North and have retained it in the same way. If Brackley were run on the income generated by the fans, like other clubs are, you would never have made it to this league at all.

Pretty much slags off every small club,

That is a lie- I slag off the small clubs who have bought a place in the pyramid way beyond their natural status and then pretend that they belong there. Like YOUR club did a few years ago.

Oh and, I've been on this forum quite a lot this season to lend my support to Chorley, a GREAT example of how to achieve success in the right way, and one of the few traditional non league outfits who will not be out of place in the National League and are more than worthy of a place there. Unlike Afreton.

Been rooting for Chorley to get out of that league since the season we came up and they were beaten by Guiseley in the playoff final. Enjoyed the visits there.

Now now Prodigal, no need for those sour grapes now ;)

Many congratulations to Chorley on securing promotion. After the season you guys had and the disappointment of being pipped to the title I feared the worst for you guys. You showed great reserve to come back and overcome both Alty and Spennymoor on penalties to take your place in the National League where you deserve to be.

See you next season!

Cheers MWS, for some reason my emojis didn't show otherwise you would have seen the remark was very tongue in cheek. Really looking forward to our two meetings next season, not expecting much overall but you never know. Just great to finally be up there after 4 Play Off attempts.

Well done Chorley. Felt for you when we beat you in the playoff final a few years ago. Enjoyed our games and thought you had a nice little ground. Hope you do well next season. Other than when you play us of course

Unfortunately I doubt that our league game will have close to 8000 attendance with 2000 Magpie fans, unless we are both going for the Title.
