Wealdstone really do care far too much about us.

Given that and the trouble their fan base cause, there’s definitely scope for some trouble at that game should it happen.

Why should Barnet away be epic for you. Is it so you can see what you could of had if your Directors hadn't spunked all the money from Lower Mead, or just to play in a decent Stadium for once.

I've got no issue with Barnet fans, it's TK who draws my ire but then again he's done that to Barnet supporters and just about every away fan who travels to Canons Park with the absurd pricing strategy in place.

We haven’t played you for thirty odd years and for the first fifteen or so years of me supporting Wealdstone, you were our biggest rival, along with Enfield. Why wouldn’t it be good to get back to a similar level as you? We don’t have a local rival. Harrow, Hendon et al have little or no fan base. Whilst your horizons look at Stevenage et al as rivals, at the end of the day, you are, and for most of your years, were a non league club. A few seasons in the big league doesn’t change that

As for Lower Mead, the misappropriation of funds around that deal and numerous other mortgage frauds that occurred at the same time, meant some people went away for a few years. Regarding PEPF, I am pretty happy that we don’t play in an area that has no interest in non league football. Our crowds have grown three fold in HA4 and that would have never happened in HA7; local demographics are not engaged. Whilst it’s obviously financially good for TK, it’s a white elephant for Barnet marooned in an area that doesn’t care.

Btw: £600 charged to Edgware for a youth cup game for turnstiles and security? Really?

Fair comment - a better start last season would have meant league games this season with you guys. In two minds on promotion, would be fun but the fan base still struggles to produce crowds above 500. The club is well run, has a budget of course, and is trying to build its base in this quaint, soon to be ruined by HS2, part of Northants, enabling us committed few to get to dodgy northern outposts 25mins faster! Should be a decent game, let`s see what happens.

We lost 3-1 to Whitby who had a ton of players missing but fortunately for them had an additional one in the ref. One of the worst officiating I have ever seen.

Their third goal game from them directly attacking from a uncontested drop ball ffs.

Not really "refinding" their feet, Saints have been in top 3 sides in NLN since 2017. Squad is very small, but best players are NL level (Dean, Byrne, Armson etc). Knocked out several NL sides on the way to Wembley in 2018. Home advantage makes Pools slight favourites, but it would not amaze me if Brackley won or got a replay back at "fortress" St James park.

The Vic gives us no home advantage, we are terrible at home and have been for years. We got beat, scratch that, battered here by Telford in the Trophy last season to illustrate my point. So yeah will be a tough game. I was convinced we’d get Darlo but I guess you can’t complain with a lower team at home in the cup. We still haven’t suffered the ignominy of not qualifying for the FA Cup proper, hopefully we won’t stoop that low any time soon.

Some result from Whitby,great club.
The club house is plastered with newspaper cuttings of some game at The Shay in the 80's. Apparently beating The Shaymen in the FA Cup is their greatest ever victory and was as good as it ever got for Whitby AFC. I didn't have the heart to tell them EVERYBODY used to beat us in the FA Cup in them days. :ds:

The last time we played each other was 1988, wasn't it?

I wouldn't mind establishing a proper rivalry with someone - since the demise of Enfailed, we have never had one.

Stevenage was a bit of fun and we've had some grudge matches with a few clubs over the years (Orient, Fulham & Carlisle spring to mind), but none of those clubs would have ever considered us to be their big rival.

It would certainly be interesting if we were both competing in the NL next season.

How are Styche and Nicholson doing? We are improving, especially away from home, so could go either way.

Impressed with Nicholson, creative with an eye for goal - just a shame he’s so lightweight. Although he wouldn’t be at this level if not. Would be a very good player if he could beef up and be hard to knock off the ball.

Despite Styche scoring goals wherever he’s been, he’s struggled so far. Not had a consistent run in the side (due to injuries and form) and when he’s had game time, not had much created for him. If he’s not getting the service, he won’t do much. Hoping that when he gets a run in the side, he will get a goal or two and spark him into life.

In each of Nicholson's games for us in L2 he just spent the entire time falling over.

I don't think WE'LL be getting anywhere faster on HS2 - there are no rail stops planned for the bumpkins of Northants are there - its just London to Birm non-stop?

Plucky old BMF defended heroically again for 35 minutes before Wealdstone finally scored. Three more second half goals gave the game some gloss. We had abt 40 chances over the whole game.

Our old muckers Maidenhead in the next round at York Street.

faster once we have raced up to Brum - load of complete b.....s, of course. More seriously, could be interesting at Vic Park - the locals don`t seem over confident!

That was embarrassing. The players should be ashamed. One of the worst performances I’ve witnessed for years. We didn’t have a shot from inside the area and Tamworth had a few decent chances and they were an incredibly limited side. Darlington will cruise into the first round as long as they adapt to the plastic pitch. There will be space in midfield if you move the ball and they are loose at the back. And all that said, we could’ve been there all night and still wouldn’t have scored. We missed our first three penalties, two of which were put over the bar.

The board have so much to answer for letting Harris and Richards spunk 700k budget on that shower of shit. I’d literally happily keep just a handful of that squad - Hall, Thomas (and Nicholson if he bulked up, with the jury out on Styche as he’s done nothing so far).

I struggle to see how we will get anything at Bradford on that showing. Styche and Liburd are away on international duty so we can barely make any attacking changes. I’m not even confident we’d score a penalty if we managed to get in their box and win one!!

Our game at Haringey Borough confirmed as 3pm on the Saturday. A bit strange as Spurs v Watford kicks off at the same time just over a mile away. I thought they might move their game...

Potters Bar vs Barnet chosen as the BBC live game.

I'll probably find myself down at Carshalton unless they make it all-ticket. Was originally going to go Haringey, but that understandably being made all-ticket put paid to that.

Yeah, we've only been give 600 out of 2500. It'll definitely sell out.

Think you’ll be safe there playing Dagenham not Liverpool. Or do you know something I don’t in terms of ground size home fan base etc? We will take 200-300 max.

Apparently the bobbins can fit 5000 into their smelly hovel. They’ll have about 5-600 fans max (it doesn’t help them that we’re also at home). It won’t be all ticket.

Btw if you have issues with the view behind the goal at Sutton you’re going to love the views behind the goal at Coldsore Avenue. 1 step terraces. The side terrace is decent although a decent sized crowd restricts the view somewhat
