Decent performance today against a strong-looking Brackley side. 1-1 a fair result.

Kevin Wilkin hasn`t got BTFC out of second gear yet! Stuttering, bits of good, bits of less good. Puzzled why neither striker on the bench got any game time in 30degs plus, particularly with tomorrow in mind. Will need to get a lot better pretty quickly to get closer to York and challenge for the title. Hereford definitely an improvement on last season, but that would not be hard based on our three wins over a poor outfit.

Deserved win for Chester. We lacked quality and missed an open goal at thend. The game could have been so different if the ref had aawarded a stonewall pen on Chambers after 4 minutes. Chester keeper drops it Chambers nicks the ball away from him gets caught and somehow a throw in was given.

With Weeks going off injured we have 11 fit first team players. Apparently under a transfer embargo with the takeover going on. Could write off this season before it's began.

One thing I will add that was the best Chester team I've seen for a while. Can only go to the home games really but whenever I've seen you whether it's been in the league or Cup we've torn you apart. Can see you pushing York for the title.

BPA have made a load of new signings to strengthen, apparently. How predictable.

For about the 4th season in a row, the sofa searchers have found a pile of loose change, after previously cutting their budget (again) and being fancied for relegation (again)

There are only 4 things certain in life - death, taxes, DarkSithLord fancying Alfreton in August, and BPA's sofa being raided.

No doubt that the sofa searchers will now pick up form.

They'll continue to amaze the rest of the league "doing things on a shoe string".

I wish they'd just fuck off.

Their going down this time. Absolutely atrocious against us. Poorest team I have seen since Ferriby.

As for us we actually are living up to a decent pre season for once and have started well. The key as always is can we keep it going because we have a threadbare squad and a few injures to the wrong players and who knows what may happen

Boston have signed Jordan Adebayo-Smith from us on loan. We signed him a couple of summers ago from park football in London and to be fair to him, he looks a decent prospect. Good finisher and very quick. Featured heavily in pre-season for us so most thought he'd stay and be a 3rd striker but it makes sense to get him out and playing.

Will be interesting to here Josh Butler views on him as his loan spell progresses.

Difficult couple of away defeats for Leamington but a solid performance at home to Kettering on Saturday. Kettering had a few early chances, which if they had taken one, it could've been a different game. Brakes missed a penalty but also scored another, decisions seem a bit...but that's how football is now! Good game

Seriously good performance from us that today.

Bit wary beforehand but no reason to be as it turned out. Score flattered Hereford a bit in the end to be honest.

This season is a very welcome change!

Yes, that was near as we'll get to a masterclass. Could have been 5 or 6. Men against boys. 4 booked for Hereford for some tasty tackles. Asante's 3rd and 4th goals this season and he's only been on the pitch for about 120 minutes.

Alfreton 2-0 Southport

Another hugely impressive showing from us today. To beat a full time side less than 48 hours after our last game in today`s heat was a very good sign.

God knows why Telford let Amari Morgan Smith but their loss has certainly been our gain. 6 goals now this season after todays brace. He is ON Fire and has built quite the understanding from the ever willing Danny Clarke.

We had to be patient after a very tight first half but got our just rewards. Southport look toothless up front.

On to Kidderminster where for the first time in a while perhaps ever we go there favourites IMO

Oh and how David Morgan stayed on the pitch for his horror challenge on Amari only the ref knows. We got zero protection. Again

Love the fight Pembo has instilled in our players with a thread-bare squad.

We may have some disappointing results this season, but it wont be for the want of trying. Sooner the boardroom circus is sorted, the better.

Think JP would make a good fist of it if he was well-backed.

First half we had a lot of the ball but didn't do much with it. Second half was absolute horseshit from us. Sloppy defending for both goals, and barely threatened at the other end with Sampson often being left isolated. I'm not sure how Morgan stayed on the pitch either, but the referee was even more clueless overall than we were. We've only scored in 2 out of our 7 matches now, and are missing Dion Charles massively. Deservedly beaten, again.

Very disappointed today, one thing for sure McNulty is a big player for us,when he went of injured our defence looked like last season.
We seemed to of coped with McGuire injured well but certainly struggled without big Steve.

I hope it's nothing too serious and he's back in a couple of weeks!

Our first 11 and a couple of subs are more than good enough for this level as results have shown so far. The rest of the squad however, jury out...

Today we had Spencer Hamilton and Myrie-Williams missing due to injury, Marlon Jackson and Chris Knowles on the bench (both carrying injuries) and Sam Avery and Josh Thomas starting despite having knocks. And it showed.

Our injury list went up a notch when Ioan Richards, who only started due to Hamilton's absence, collapsed and was taken to hospital, thankfully he's OK.

3 nil final score but could have been worse.

I reckon Ashton United will be a strong challenger next season. They have taken some really solid Conf North players down with them so should certainly be one of the better teams in the Evostik Prem.

South Shields are just a billy big bollox kinda club. their manager was fuming when we knocked them out of the FA Cup last season citing they 'shouldn't be losing to teams like them' - The eventual champions of the division above!?

Not the start I'd have imagined they would have after four games. But Ashton United are propping the division up with one point, if they've signed some decent players.
Off course it's early day's yet like.

The only problem yesterday was that Stopforth had to leave the pitch after he was targeted by Hereford's hatchetmen and it was last season when he was ruled out for the season that our play-off push deteriorated.

Well what a surprise - BPA found some loose change down the sofa just in time to sign 6 players in time to face us. Then proceeded to park that sofa in front of their goal.

Classic 1-0 away win, soak everything up and score the one chance that you have. We hit the post 3 times, but that aside, we just aren't clinical enough as well as always wanting to walk the ball into the net.

Yeah but BPA "cut their budget" publically. Again.

Not to worry, now BPA have realised that they can't do it on the cheap, the budget will be "un-cut" unpublically. Again.

We're still operating on a low budget tbh, we've had to clear out players to be able to afford bringing new ones in.
A lot of the lads we brought in during the summer have talent but are very inexperienced, all our new manager has done is sign a few players with experience at this level to help organise the others.
