Water is wet .

We're becoming a laughing stock. Paper thin squad takeover that seems to be lasting months. Fans are becoming more vocally frustrated by the day.

Full time squad on gates of 1,000-1,500 just does't add up.

Bradford Park Avenue find yet more money down the back of the sofa - this time to sign giant centre half Josh Heaton from Darlo.

Oh but their budget is so tiny, they're having to live within their means - fuck off are they. First sign of trouble and money appears, as usual, as every season.

Tuesday 10 September 2019 National League North Result

Att. 1,217 - Spennymoor Town 5 Blyth Spartans 0

I have to say, that's a cracking midweek crowd by Spendy's standards.

They're probably counting all of their 700 season tickets and give aways as attended though.

Going to be interesting tomorrow been reported sold 660 tickets for Darlo, how many will actually have a view.
Sorry Darlo fans this is the worst ever away end, only been once and we won and hated it.
Feethams was one of best ever away grounds to visit.

Good effort, like you say it's not a good away end, but very little we can do when the fans already completely fund everything else, doesn't leave much spare, especially as it's not confirmed as our forever home. You should get a view as I imagine people will stand back on the bank but it does mean you're a long way from the action.

If nothing else a good amount of people should be in the ground to give it a bit of buzz. Both sides sound like they're ravaged by injuries so might be just who adapts better on the day. We've not been too bad at home so hopefully we can give you a good game, wouldn't mind a repeat of last seasons game at BM.

Think you have enough to win the league so if we can have the win tomorrow that will be lovely.

Was quoted on here about how ridiculous my ambition of NLN Survival at the start of the season by someone else on here. I'd snatch your hand off for it now.

I don't know why but I feel numb to it now, ever since I started following in our relegation season from L2, we've just continued to have dodgy chairman - thankfully we've recovered 2/3 times but this time it just feels empty. Probably because we're at our lowest point in decades.

Completely ravaged by injuries unfortunately. It's meant we've not been able to rotate through the first 10 games while about 3 players who have been playing are carrying injuries.

We've made some daft mistakes which has cost us points this season, but our home form is actually pretty good. The football has certainly improved under Armstrong we certainly play on the floor and with more tempo compared to Tommy Wright where it seems he asked then to quickly meet in the carpark first and then play like they've never met each other.

Just noticed that our team have adopted the motto, "Embrace the sh*tness". Still trying to get my head round what it means, but probably as a former longstanding league club now playing in Division 6 we've no time for big-time Charlies. That probably alluded to George Green who was hoping to rehabilitate himself with us last season, but was beyond sh*te and allegedly caused problems in the dressing room. Seems the sh*t hit the fan after we were thrashed 4-1 by FCUM in a PSF. Been away for nearly a fortnight and cannot wait to get to Telford this afternoon.

Good win on the road for us courtesy of an Asante hat trick.

We were absolutely all over Telford in the first half, played some really good stuff. Foot off the gas after the break to see it out. Made hard work of it late on though when Morgan stupidly got himself sent off for a needless rash challenge.

Kettering 2-1 Alfreton

Got exactly what we deserved today - NOTHING. 2 down in the opening 3 minutes. Not at the races at all.

How is Latimer Park judged to have passed the ground grading for the National League North? Poor facilities. Pitch awful which we never got to grips with. Away Press facilities poor too.

Kettering to be fair eploited us well and were unfortunate to not win by more.

Moving on quickly to a crucial cup tie against Kings Lynn. Cant afford to lose.

When we went to Kettering last month I took a shortcut down an alley to get there and genuinely ended up in the players tunnel before carrying on to the turnstile. Bizarre rabbit warren of a ground.

One of our press guys was warned beforehand about it and took his own deck chair and extension lead!

Another hattrick for Aaron Martin today puts him on 14 from 11 games. How on earth he's spent his career in the lower leagues baffles me.

Well that’s 2 games been very poor and still got 4 points.
Glad it’s FA cup next week had Griffiths,McNulty,McGuire, king, missing today injured and Bond suspended plus Green went off after 5 mins so a good win.
Looks like Chester will be strong.

Absolutely tore Telford to shreds first half today. They had no answer. I suppose both Asante and Hughes were taken off having recently returned from serious injury. From 3-0 up we conceded a soft one and then allowed Telford to dominate possession, but defended resolutely. We fear no-one including York City.

I thought we played well today certainly didn't deserve to lose 2-0. A strong belief entering the ground i fancied a draw today and that's what i thought we deserved. Once again another bit of calamity defending put the visitors in the driving seat, still thought we could get something out of this game but unfortunately just wasn't our day with a cracking killer goal towards the end of the match.

Hatfield once again was outstanding, and losing Laing was a massive blow who also put in a good shift as did a few others. As for York they didn't play all that badly. But just didn't look championship material on this performance.

Somebody must have been looking out for Wheatley he was very fortunate to stay on the pitch after his lunge right in front of us, credit to the York player he could have made a meal out of that tackle. I was expecting these dodgy referees to pull out a red card.

I still haven't lost faith in AA! He must be the unluckiest manager in this league we are absolutely ravaged with injuries at the moment.

By all accounts of their match report he was making a clear difference at the back. And they brought in 23-year-old striker Andre Johnson :£Minted they are.

We've won at home!!!!

Gotta say I wasn't impressed by Alty after them coming off the back of a 5-0 win I expected to lose but Phil Parkinson played the game right into our hands, they just passed the ball around slowly and allowed Chambers and Peniket to press them into mistakes. Alty felt like watching us under Eutasce, can be devastating when it works but a clear lack of a plan B, we isolated Hulme and they clearly struggled.

Outside of a 10-minute spell at the end of the first half when they dominated. In that domination, their number 10 had the whole goal to aim at except 1 corner.....the corner he chose and Rhys Williams flew across to block it. Bar that we were comfortable and should've won by more than 2. Especially in the second half where Alty could barely get out of their half.

We also had our Norwegian fan club visit today and they seemed to bring a positive atmosphere which seemed to affect both the players and fans. Any other clubs at this level have random fan clubs outside of the country?

But just didn't look championship material on this performance..

We're missing McNulty and Maguire, 2 of the best players in the division. Griffiths and Bond also out, plus Green going off early doors. Winning these sort of games under such circumstances is probably a good indicator that we are championship material. We're top and the strong suspicion is that we haven't really got started yet.

We weren't great, they were abysmal. To be fair they lost two players in the first half to injury whilst we has Winnard limp off (again) in the first half too. We had more of the ball but not much in the way of decent chances.

Second half was more of the same. Mohammed headed in from a corner and a few minutes later Correia was sandwiched by two Blyth players to give us a penalty, which Morgan squeezed past the keeper into the bottom corner. After that not much happened again.

We're desperate for more ideas up top. Correia is a handful but not much of a goalscorer, Sampson similar but out injured. Devarn Green has played out of position there and it shows. Just waiting on international clearance for Mike Newell's lad now to see if he can add anything. We'll grind out results but that's more to do with our defence than our attack.

Your'e probably right it's a somewhat very, very suspicious attendance for a midweek game.

We were also missing Luke Trotman who's hugely missed at the back, and Holmes, O'Neill on loan from Middlesbrough, Atkinson and today Laing went of injured. And Liddle not really 100% fit. And also Wheatley has just come back. And also it's a difficult name to remember Mr. Jonny Burn! He's in hiding hopefully in Mongolia!

So in a sense we haven't really had the desired start to the season with all these injured player's on the sidelines. Also this week we lost Josh Heaton to BPA.

Darlo looked ok in middle of pitch but didn’t have much up front.
Who is number 6 (captain) he is very slow.

He's the one (Terry Galbraith) that made a balls-up and gifted your opening goal.
He's very slow i could run faster than him. And I'm a bit long in the tooth.

We got Will Hatfield from Guiseley who plays in the middle, what a great signing.

Just goes to show how people view things differently. They look every inch a championship team to me.

We played quite well for much of the match, but York, with injuries themselves, were simply better all over the park.

They coped comfortably with our attacking threat, and had the quality to take a couple of their chances at the other end. It was a classic away win in every sense, textbook.

It's those sorts of performances that win titles.
