We were also missing Luke Trotman who's hugely missed at the back, and Holmes, O'Neill on loan from Middlesbrough, Atkinson and today Laing went of injured. And Liddle not really 100% fit. And also Wheatley has just come back. And also it's a difficult name to remember Mr. Jonny Burn! He's in hiding hopefully in Mongolia!

So in a sense we haven't really had the desired start to the season with all these injured player's on the sidelines. Also this week we lost Josh Heaton to BPA.

Johnny Burn was stood at the tunnel at the end, looking happy as fuck in his Darlo tracksuit, shaking the York players hands and having a bit of a smiley happy catch up with one or two of them - which I found strange as they all probably think he's a joke of a footballer too.

30 seconds away from stopping King's Lynn's unbeaten home record. Would have taken a draw all day but losing 2 extra points in that manner is a sickener.

We had Jeacock back from international duty but no Robert or Hamilton due to injury. Myrie-Williams and Marlon Jackson both came off the bench at least, so we're starting to get the team back.

Kettering 2-1 Alfreton

Got exactly what we deserved today - NOTHING. 2 down in the opening 3 minutes. Not at the races at all.

How is Latimer Park judged to have passed the ground grading for the National League North? Poor facilities. Pitch awful which we never got to grips with. Away Press facilities poor too.

Kettering to be fair eploited us well and were unfortunate to not win by more.

Moving on quickly to a crucial cup tie against Kings Lynn. Cant afford to lose.

To be fair we have played pretty well in all the home games so far(apart from Boston) without taking our chances, and then making horrendous defensive mistakes.

The ground was passed with the proviso that we carry out certain improvements by March 2020, such as putting in more seats and more turnstiles.
The pitch is actually the best it has ever been, so you can imagine what it was like three or four years ago!!!

You should have seen Poole's ground when they were in the South - couple of pop up temp stands that are on the back of a school field.

Despite a good first half performance for Leamington, Farsley Celtic ran away 3-0 winners. Frustrating watch for Leamington fans, put away one of the chances in the first half and could've been a completely different game. Lost 5-0 last week and 3-0 this week - a little concerning!

Quick question - how is Ravi Shamsi doing for you guys? He has so much ability but there have always been question marks over his attitude.

Your next league game is against us Nick and we're on fire at the moment. We're playing the best football since we won this league 6 or 7 years ago.

Hasn't managed to get a start yet I don't think (fitness/niggling injuries) but has shown glimpses of a quality player. Definitely has something about him. Not sure if he will want to stick around though if he can't get off the bench.

Not going to lie mate, we are playing you at the worst possible time. You are doing well...we've just lost 5-0 and 3-0, our early season confidence has taken a battering. Fans will be annoyed if we get knocked out of the cup next Saturday too!

We took a punt on Akwasi Asante, even paid a fee for him, despite his atrocious injury history. I think he's scored something like 20 goals in less that that games.

To be fair to both Poole and Kettering, they’ve had to make do with what they could find having been booted out of their home stadia.

Looks like George Glendon has extended his stay with us today, has been on an ongoing short term deal for the past fortnight or so.

Too good for this league really and has had offers from higher up. Says he’s enjoying his football again with us though so seems happy to stay. Very much fine by us.

I think i would be as well, useless fucker is crippling us collecting his wage packet. I wish he would just fuck off - I have to say I've never seen him for ages. He'll have been having a good laugh at our expense. I'd take out the footballer and let's just say he's a joke.

Off to Trafford tomorrow, dare i say we've gotta win this game :shut:

We'll have to sell some of our trophies though to pay his wages.

Not great viewing for Leamington in the FA Cup. 2-0 up vs 10 man Chasetown who are two divisions below, yet somehow draw 2-2! Replay away on Tuesday.

Manager Nicky Eaden sacked by Kettering Town after last night's FA Cup defeat to Sutton Coldfield Town.
Steve Kinniburgh & Luke Graham appointed caretaker joint managers.

Big signing for York City with the capture of former National League winner Elliott Durrell
That signing has just won them the league. It looks like we'll have to go up via the play-offs. He almost single-handedly kept Macclesfield up last season. I suspect he wants to join a club that will pay his wages on time.

Didn't you release him a couple of years back? Or did he just leave to join Macclesfield?

He was released by the then manager Jon McCarthy, who then built a relegation team with our biggest ever budget. We nearly went under that season as a big hole appeared in our budget that had gone under the radar due to an equally inept board and Mark Maguire (last seen at Hartlepool). The fans mobilised and with the help of Michael Owen and Colin Murphy we raised enough money to rescue the situation.

Back to the league today.

Altrincham v Gateshead P-P

Alfreton host Darlington later at the Impact Arena. Crucial game and a game really where we need to be looking to get back to winnings ways.

Lets home its better than the corresponding fixture last season!

Is the Darlo injury crisis still bad?

5 players missing today. First choice RB, CB, DM all missing, potentially first choice LW out too. Keeper playing through injury too.

Feel like today could go one of two ways. Everyone knows what to expect from a Heath side and tbh we're not the biggest team to try and defend those balls into the box. On the other hand, we do play nice football, we just haven't put the ball in the net enough to put good teams to the sword. Although we showed enough in our comfortable win over Southport that we can deal with big physical sides.

Not expectant based on comparing your home form to our away form. But think lots of Darlo fans have a feeling that once we click and cut iut the mistakes which have cost us we will be a force. There may still just be too many injuries to key players for that day to be today though.

Not there today but always enjoyed going to the Impact used to go to Nottingham for Uni and made plenty of trips out to watch you in the conference.

Never been so disinterested in football. Be surprised if we came away with anything.

With McNulty, Maguire and Green still out of the starting line-up and Durrell to come in, i'd probably have been happy enough with a point before todays game and to get it out of the way. I'll settle for a 3-0 win though.

Alfreton 1-2 Darlington.

No complaints from me. Darlington fully deserved the win today. Second half nowhere near good enough.

We started the game better than any other game this season but slowly regressed in to our own half. Think fatigue from Tuesday played a huge part. We looked knackered. The two week break before our trip to Leamington will do us good.

No win n four now and back to back league defeats. I will be flabbergasted if we finish in the play offs. Midtable mediocrity for us

Great result for us with injuries taken into account. Sounded like a complete clash of styles on the day but glad we came out on top. Was fearing the worst when we gave our usual gift of a goal away in the first 5 minutes. But credit to the players, stood up to the test. Especially second half sounded like we should have been level before 2 goals in 2 minutes gave us the win. Thanks to two spills from your keeper.

Credit to Liddle, our LB, who played for 60 minutes with a Broken Nose.

Also noticed the attendance was only 547 and our fans saying we took a decent following. What's happened to crowds used to be around 1000 there when I used to make the trip from Nottingham.

Attendance was 561. 4 or 5 consecutive seasons of poor results and poor home form has really hit our crowds. Having said all of that I was still very disappointed with the turnout today.

Our keeper was possible at fault for the first but thoughout it was a good initial save for the second before the ball fell to the Darlo lad.

Bitterly disapointed tonight. Amari`s purple patch of goals is over and its showing
