I don't rate Wilson but a better manager/coach should be able to get this squad of players doing much, much better than they are.

Ask any oppo fan on here and they'll tell you we have one of the best squads on paper in the league.

A lot of it is at Rusk's door IMO. Wilson obviously at fault for sacking Jim and appointing him. And there are also issues with his strategy in signings, very scattergun and not measured.

But a lot of managers would love to work with this squad.

Indeed, we have a very nice run of fixtures coming up now so if we aren't charging up the table in the next month or so you can expect our fans to get very restless. I'm personally happy to give him at least the January transfer window to fix things, but if we're still struggling to make a mark after that then we'll no doubt reconsider his position.

I'm going to stay positive and just put last night down to the players getting sucked in by the occasion. Hopefully it takes the pressure off the Torquay game a bit.

did well with them by all accounts and usurped TNS as the incumbents in recent years. Will be Manchester based too, although will potentially be too big a personality to clash with your chairman/owner

I can understand the panic with the money that’s been spent, but there is such a long way to go.

Around this point last year we were sat in the relegation zone… we ended up making the play offs. Anything can happen yet and I fully expect the teams with smaller squads to hit a brick wall through the winter months once the niggling injuries start to take their toll. That’s when yourselves and Stockport will capitalise..

our fixtures up to Christmas are in theory very favourable and should see us rise up the league, but we know we love to fail with teams in the lower half of the table - its the Wrexham way!
