Obviously this is all speculation (and to be honest when a mod sees this they should probably kill the last few pages of this thread), buuuut from some of what I’ve seen I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s one of those ‘pattern of dodgy behaviour that’s tolerated/ignored until he does something completely ridiculous’ situations.
It could be. Fuck knows but it’s a right mess. I’m just gonna shut my eyes and think of the chelsea goal, probably what Rowe was doing when…

It’s a shame for Rowe that Carson wasn’t the masseuse as judging by his name he’d have been well up for it.

How do you know I'm not the masseuse. Maybe I should ditch this account and use one of the many others I have. :)

if this is true...and its an oddly specific rumour if it isn't...then not only is he a despicable person but he's an absolute moron. This season could have been the making of him, as it is he may very well not work again in football. What an absolute berk.

Was first told something along these lines on Wednesday but tried to dumb it down to sexual harassment as didn’t know it was quite this bad, though I did know he’d been a bit of a Casanova round the town.

It’s an absolute shambles and an embarrassment for the club and a career and family ended for him potentially.

The only shining light is that Casa have agreed to lift Paul Cooks banning order so we can get the band back together

Aye. Heard they're putting down waterproof mats and the Barrel landlord/landlady is rubbing his/her hands together.
Used to see him a fair bit in the Barley Mow too. Bloke did like a drink

I had a look on LinkedIn, found a likely candidate. She's a bit young for him, dirty bugger.

Imagine that happening to you at the start of your career? pretty grim. I think things why in the olden days the Massages were given out by 60 year old blokes with fags permanently in their mouths and who were far more likely to sexually abuse you than you them.

Tbf to the club they’re hardly to blame. It is bad press though.
Got to admire the way you lot are taking it with laughs on here, I had some sympathy when I saw the Maidenhead video and thought that he had just offended the wrong person and Chesterfield were being forced into a daft reaction...If this is true and sinks your promotion challenge it will take some living down.

You need to resolve it fast and get a replacement sorted, at least the Chelsea money gives you a chance to be more ambitious in who you target. I would also think that it might encourage someone to try and take advantage of the confusion and go in for Tshimanga, I bet you will be glad when the window closes.

Dunno if I'm being naive but I've not been concerned about this the entire window. I just don't think anybody will offer what we'll want.

Yeah we've had no bids or no interest by all accounts. If he ends the season on 30 goals and we don't go up he's gone. In fact i dare say he'd be gone regardless.

I think most clubs asking would be put off by our valuation. We don’t need to sell him either. I’m in the same camp and I’ve not really been worried about it either this window.

*insert OOCChesterfield here in 3 days when he is sold to Wrexham for £800k

If Rowe is going to get sacked it would be suicide for the board to sell Tshimanga. Any bid would have to be phenomenal. Can't see it happening.

Tbf there’s not a lot else we can do. The fans have absolute trust in our owners, we know the decision to suspend Rowe wasn’t taken lightly and we know that the investigation process will be followed to the letter.

If we lose James Rowe we lose him, but we have a board who care about the club and a set of players who are good enough to challenge for the title. It will have an effect, of course it will - and a new manager if there is one will have a different ethos on how to set the team up etc which may take some adjusting to. However, we have had 6 years of pain - we finally have a team and a board (and hopefully a manager) to be proud of.

You could log-off and bury your head, that's probably what I would do :fl:

I don't know how your structure works, only what I see on here. But a lot of you seem to give huge credit specifically to Rowe on turning the club around, do you not worry that the impact could be reversed without him? Or is there more to it than that?

There is more to it than that. The Chesterfield FC community Trust (charity run by fans of the club) bought the club from our previous owner. The club was on its knees in terms of league position, atmosphere, disgruntled fans, terrible playing squad etc.

Rowe was appointed after 9 games or so and the rest is history (brilliant return I think it is 100 points in a calendar year). Of course Rowe has played a major part in turning the club around, however he wouldn't have been able to do so if the foundations weren't put in place by the Trust in terms of funds and fan engagement.

We are getting regular attendances now higher than those I've seen when we were in league 1. Rowe has been allowed to recruit (although there has been some shrewd signings from this league and the one below) pretty much at his leisure - the Oyeleke, Rowe and Tshimanga signings all signs of this.

Rowe is important to what has happened at the club in the last 18 months but he is not the only reason. I'd back the owners to make the right decision re. the next appointment.

I remember getting a taxi back to the Mow from Mansfield after the 0-0 draw at Feel Ill in the title winning season. When I got there Cook had already beaten me to the bar!

What we heard mate?

I knew there would be no coming back from this as soon as I saw he was suspended. I really can’t see this Paul Cook thing me, surely he fancies himself higher than this level?

I’d have thought Cook was on a fair old whack at Ipswich. You’d think he’d want that matching at least? Where is he based these days? If I was a Chessie fan it would take a Cook level appointment to keep me from the sharp implements now.
