Agreed.

Oxford will be a tough test. Their turnaround has been incredible & they must be the most (if not one of the most) in form team in the league?
And our “easy”’ run in has turned into playing all of the form sides.

I’ve got to be honest, Tuesdays game has taken a lot out of Luton. They looked knackered and even going behind had no intensity.

Happy to be called out but for me I think I we are relying on Pompey dropping some points in the next 2 to be honest.

We are mentally done I think after Tuesday and even if we take a lead against Oxford I don’t trust any longer to just not concede out of the blue.

Knew we would make this hard work for ourselves even when we were all those points clear.

A week ago Luton were 1/50 odds for promotion...

Portsmouth need to win both games. They cannot drop any more points

It's been that way for two months.

Weird situation. Win on Tuesday and we still have a double chance for either Luton or Barnsley to not win on Saturday. Pressure can do strange things.

In isolation that's a great result for us really, there was a huge amount of pressure on the team and they ground it out. So it's back to FP with the knowledge that all we can do is just do our job and see what happens.. K-Win's bang on though, pressure does funny things at this stage of the season. Drama to come, I'm certain of it.

And agreed, it's been an amazing season to watch/be part of, regardless of how we end up!

Don’t say that. This does smack of 2017 with Doncaster and Portsmouth in L2...

Yes it is weirdly similar, Ken. Although it was only the title at stake and not promotion I suppose. That was an incredible day at Fratton. Everyone came for a promotion party and then it steadily got ramped up to a title winning party. Party times two.

If we beat Peterborough on Tuesday then the stress levels next weekend will be through the roof!

Must admit, I thought you were already up weeks ago and didn't understand the pessimism emanating on here from Luton fans. Now I get it.

TFCH - you ask what's gone wrong.

Try this for a start - off the top of my head, (although we have been saying this lot for quite a while).

Rea/McCormack out for long spells. Massive miss.

Pelly being played as defensive midfielder, which he is not, instead of in his best position.

Lee being played AT ALL!!!!! It is months since he actually justified his selection, either as a midfielder, which he is not, or as a forward.

No plan B when opponents worked out our strengths and set up accordingly.

You could probably add in several injuries striking at the wrong moment, and Harford's reluctance to use players who had been brought in specifically to cover such eventualities.

Big Mick may be a club legend, but a manager he is not.

Ive put a bit of money on Barnsley & Portsmouth to go up automatically to make me feel better if we do fuck it up next week.

Think we are relying on Peterborough and our old friends Accrington to do us a favour. Just got a feeling Oxford will turn us over. Would be very Luton of us to go the whole season unbeaten at home and then lose the last one that matters so much.

Well done to Walsall today , losing 3-0 flattered us , an Evans team trying to play the Fergie way isn't going to work especially when he's picking players out of contract & ones who are going to be & have already been told they are on the transfer list as of June 1st.

I do admire his apologies to the near 1,600 making the trip to the Midlands & with the idea of giving some of our up & coming Under 18 & 23 players a run out in the last 2 games rather than players just going through the motions .

Here’s me thinking Posh might do something on Tuesday...

5 consecutive wins at home is our best run since 1995,up to 12th,8 points above relegation and our goal difference is better than the bottom 8 teams,we were everybody's favourites on here for relegation but Ainsworth has hit half the points he wanted with 2 games to spare.
err.. not everybody's
I've a sneaking feeling that Wycombe will shithouse their way into the top half, defying expectations.
Just because of this, i'd piss myself if Wycombe got relegated now
How good is your memory, though? My comment will be well buried by then - I'll make damn sure of that!
Well well well, I just saw this in my calendar for next week.

Didn't get relegated, in the end but they tried their best!

Are you a betting man, K-win?

I was waiting for this. Well, I guess it was a draw, Gassy? Neither top-half or relegated. ;)

Bit of an odd one - James Collins the Leagues Player of the year as crowned a week or so ago, league top scorer, didnt pick up a single award at our club awards evening tonight. Player of the year went to Jack Stacey, players player of the year going to Andrew Shinnie and other awards shared between those 2 and a few others.

Id have probably gone for Stacey as well for it but kind of odd that he didnt win anything at all!

I’m getting very nervous yet optimistic about the final games.. fingers crossed Barnsley or Luton drop points and we win both games. PUP.

Yawn. Im one of the few that remembers when Charlton were a big club with Derek Hales and some other equally looking caveman looking dude. Oh shit perhaps that was just a season or two you were big League? So not so big.

But hey. You had real class young players like Paul Walsh and Paul Elliott who both made you moeny and left for bigger and better things going to..........oh.......Yeah. Luton.

I’ve got Lamby on ignore so can only imagine you’re responding to one his inane postings?

I’ll assume you were just trying to get a rise out of him but you do remember that we spent 8 years in the Premier League as recently as 12 years ago?

I can't lie, whilst it was in my calendar - I remembered this every day.

I nearly posted the other week when Wycombe looked doomed but had to be strict with myself just incase

Call it a draw :2thumb:
