Daynight robbery last night. That said I’ve not seen a team battle as hard as I saw AFCW last night, this season. You could argue for that alone they deserve their point.

It’s not really falling for us at the moment - Portsmouth get a ball going in off their hand in the last minute, whilst we get a deflection going against us.

Classic, Ken - you've had one defeat in 31 games!!

The meltdown from some of our fans when we lost to Burton was baffling. Was our first defeat in 20 odd games. I’ve followed Barnsley for over 20 years and never had it so good. Football fans are weird.

To be fair. Luton got a soft Pen and a very very harsh freekick against us in the league game and Plymouth got a extremely soft free kick up at their place which they scored. Hawkins gets pulled all over the place every week and gets nothing from the refs at all. Glad we get a few decisions going our way.

I suppose it's symptomatic of the pressure we're all under in this tight race.

Must admit I hated every minute of our two games over Easter. Both games were a real struggle and one defeat or draw at the moment means you're pretty much out of it. Bonkers.

Now where did I put that stress ball.... o_O

Smash and grab for sure. Luton were very good going forward and could have had a hatful, but games are sometimes just like that and the way we stuck at it and then piled forward for the last 10 minutes you just knew we might sneak something. Ramsdale on loan in goal for us is going to play at the top level and without him we'd be down now. Had a little wobble for a couple of weeks but he's only a baby in goalkeeper ages and came through it really well.

Another team of the year now out, the PFA team of the year, voted for by the players of course.

https://www.skysports.com/football/...nsley-in-league-one-and-lincoln-in-league-two

5 Barnsley players in there so they dominate it. Quite surprised that Stacey not included as the right back but as Barnsley have the better defensive record perhaps understandable, for me Stacey the best right back in the league by some distance but guess opinions vary.

Surprised Marquis keeps appearing in these, not impressed whenever I’ve seen him and surely Taylor at Charlton more deserving. Certainly a more dynamic type striker.

Matt Clarke in there again. If we don't go up this season we'll surely lose him.

Great to see Jamal Lowe voted in, too. He's going from strength to strength. Has added good defensive duties to the flair he already possessed.

I was thinking just after Sunderland conceded that late goal on Easter Monday to put automatic promotion out of their hands, that there could well be a repeat of the 1998 meeting between them and Charlton at Wembley (probably the greatest play-off final ever) on May 26. Don't think it will have quite so many goals though...

My heart is 21 years older now, not sure it’s really fully recovered from the first time around. It won’t survive another game like that.

900+ tickets sold for Rochdale away. We never do well with free travel. Loss and it's curtains. A win and we SHOULD be safe.

No offence, but I hope you lose. We have a relegation free record since reformation to uphold.

A lot depends on whether or not we can keep McGeady quiet for the hour or so he's on the pitch. He's nursing a broken bone in his foot so can't train properly, but can still do plenty of damage.

Sunderland have only lost at home once this season, but we've won 13 on the road. On paper, a draw looks likeliest. However, Jackett does tend to go to a high-risk strategy if the scores are level with 20 minutes left. Ross is likely to do the same as a draw benefits nobody (except Barnsley, obviously!)

A draw in that Pompey Sunderland game would be lovely thank you very much! Good news is that Sunderland are something of the draw specialists so some hope for us.

As for our game, not feeling that great about playing Burton. They have taken points off the top sides of late although losing last week at Southend is a bit of an odd one given their situation. Understand that Burton have some injury issues which may help us out a little bit, but its a game ive looked at for a while as one we might find tricky.

The other factor is also how Tuesday affected us, we basically had it done and dusted but threw it away really, and put a lot of pressure on these last 2 games. It will be interesting to see how we deal with that set back.

Having said that, if we play like we did in that game we should be fine as I cant see us missing that many chances again, so probably not a time for radical changes to be made. Id like to see Shea back in goal if he is back from illness. Felt Stech could have done better for the goal against Wimbledon and he just doesnt give me confidence that a howler isn't around the corner. Still a massive mystery to me as to whats happened there as he looked so good initially. One id really like to see is McCormack back, could really do with his experienced head in the middle.

We have to beat Portsmouth eventually, just hope I'm not thinking the same come a possible play-off final.

Part of me expects us to win just to give us hope that this time it's different but instead we lose to Southend on the final day just for the sheer banter of it all.

It'll probably be 1-1 but we've let slip McGeady's foot is broken and he's playing through the pain so if I was a Portsmouth fullback that would be my first point of contact.

Its going to be 2-1 either way. If its a draw going into the last 15 its gonna be one hell of an open game

TFCH you been pretty nervy lately and very pessemistic about most games. Wimbledon was just one of those games. Frustrating but we havent crumbled at all this season. Almost every time the pressure has ramped the players have responded. Started at Sunderland away when Jones left and each time after. Poor perfirmances are prob counted on one hand. Have the faith. We're gonna come out firing.

Hats off big time to anyone that finishes above us or beats us in the play offs as were really a good side.

Yep always have been a bit of a pessimist when it comes to football. To be fair to me (if you can be fair to oneself?!) the only game that I definitely thought we would lose, Charlton, we actually did and think I was fairly justified in thinking that at the time. Feeling a lot better than I did on Tuesday night after the game when I was definitely feeling a bit “woe is me” which was pretty unjustified!

I can’t remember a genuine poor performance since Peterborough away. Our four other defeats we’ve at least been competitive in the game. That is some achievement not to have a stinker since that point. Charlton were very good in the second half which is probably our worst performance since that point, but even then our first half display was good.

I see Burton are doing a ‘lap of appreciation’ before kick off due to a potential pitch invasion after... hopefully it means that it is an after the Lord Mayors show attitude later today.

We did it before when Bournemouth won at our place to seal promotion, and I tbi k Chesterfield too.
It is the right thing to do, as we need to show our appreciation for getting to a major semi final and a top ten finish after a disastrous start.
Then, afterwards we can leave it to Luton to celebrate and leave you the keys to lock up....

Well today is the day our relegation is all but confirmed. A Southend and Plymouth win would officially seal our fate. It's been a long time coming.
