I think Pompey fans need to remember that we make everyone look like Brazil.

At FP last season you guys looked an OK side, got unlucky with the lad getting sent off, but you seem to have regressed under Robinson. What was so wrong with the last bloke? You tore us apart at your place under him

Nah we were properly shit. We might well be terrible this season but I am convinced Clotet would have taken us down. Wasted our budget on old crocks and a bizarre collection of has beens, shushed the fans when we went 1-0 down to the most incompetent Bury side this league has seen for years, then we duly ended up losing.

We beat you because it took 3 or 4 games for teams to work out that all we really had was Jack Payne.

Robinson kept us up. He just seems to have made a hash of getting a new team sorted

Not good enough from us today. Walsall wanted to play direct balls into the channels for Ferrier to run into, and we absolutely fell into the trap. We also essentially played 4-2-4 and left the midfield for Walsall to do as they liked.

Deserved defeat that one.

Couldn't break Wimbledon down. Both teams still yet to concede in the league although to be fair neither attack looked particularly dangerous yesterday. A little disappointed not to take all 3 points at home but Wimbledon look well organised and solid so they'll give a few teams problems this season. Two away games coming up this week to finish the month and expect us to go into September with at least 10 points which I'll be satisfied with.

We were very.solid at.barnsley..We are another striker short of a top half side.
Frustrating game but got to give your side credit. We should've been 2 up in the first half but second half you packed the defence, didn't give us any time on the ball (which meant every cross/final ball was dogshit) and looked a very solid side. Not my cup of tea to watch but if you can find a way of sneaking a goal or 2 I can see you doing well this season, as you'll not concede many.

Plenty of other teams will come to Oakwell and try to keep it tight for 90 minutes and I just hope they're not as disciplined as Wimbledon, as we could've played for another hour and not scored.

Still, I'd have happily taken 7 points and 0 goals conceded in the first 3 games.

We have been accused of parking the bus by some of your fans. We had more shots on target than you yesterday. Yes we played on break but what you expect. As for not something you would watch every week we don't either. Tactics change home and away and opposition. I'm sure you didn't go to wolves last season all gung no.

Well we’ve been denied a blatant penalty which was last man, that isn’t going to help our cause.

We were miles ahead of Oxford who just wanted to foul us and waste time.

wow. just wait till you play us.

Anyway. Wasn't there on Saturday, but 2 cheap goals conceded v the Gas means we get nul points again. Too early to panic, but we really don't seem to be adjusting to this league very well.

I remember those games from League Two. Ainsworth using everything he can. No problems there. I think there was 6 mins added on each half! lol

On paper Scunthorpe was our first "have to win" game. We started similar to the Charlton game, start off brightly and give away a silly penalty... except by some miracle the referee didn't blow for one. Unlike the Charlton game we didn't revert to type immediately afterwards and instead killed the game with 3 goals before half time.

Maja has scored a goal in every game so far and looking at his miss he only appears to be able to put away the difficult chances. Nobody had a particularly poor game although Loovens appears to give John O'Shea a run for his money in the speed stakes and Chris Maguire is still playing out of his skin.

2 away games in 4 days next, if we go into our next home game vs. Oxford (the Charlie Methven derby) still unbeaten I may even stop thinking that disaster is right around the corner.

Massively important for you lot to get off to a good start, gets the fans onside. Really hard when you get relegated down the divisions to get rid of the losing feeling. Fans get premierised.

Loovens was absolute class for years but his legs went about 18 months ago, he's shot to shit but will probably do a job at your level. We miss someone with his leadership at the moment to be fair.

So onto the next game. Bristol Rovers away. Hopefully we can carry on the momentum and get the 4th win. We'll have to make sure we concentrate as it seem Rovers have some power from set pieces. going for a 2-1 victory and I expect Bennett to score a wordie against us. Whoever is playing left back for Rovers will need to be on their game as Lowe is looking on fire this season.

Shrewsbury at home, we lost to an injury time winner against them last season but we are a better team now, we created enough chances on Saturday to beat Burton but didn't take them so I'm hoping we have our scoring boots on tomorrow

Home to Burton tomorrow, on paper so far we’ve both been equally naff (17th vs 18th).
The ‘we need to start well or things will really quickly turn ugly after a joke of a summer’ potential is playing out worryingly predictably, a great chance for anyone to take advantage of at the minute, not mentioning a player getting arrested last week.
Prediction? 1-2 Burton

Burton were very well organised, a big strong side, they didn't create much but were clinical with the chance they did have, closed us down quickly although we created enough to have won.

Luton away for us. I imagine after their tough 3 opening games they will be hoping and almost expecting 3 points tomorrow but we are playing well only Manchester City have created more chances than us in the top 4 divisions and now we've got that first win I'm hoping we can kick on. 2-1 Southend. Hopper & Mantom to score

Sunderland at home for us on Wednesday,

Think we can win that one, but would take a point.

If you don't put at least 5 past us then you don't deserve to go up.

We really need to do something against Southend otherwise the jitters will have well and truly set in for us. We have sort of hidden behind the useful excuse that we have played good sides to the start the season but begins to ring a bit hollow after the pretty awful showing at Peterborough where we looked...well awful!

Dont mean any disrespect to Southend by that but if we want to cement ourselves back at this level then we really need to win games at home or just get some wins on the board rather than getting upset we have played good teams.

Sounds like we will return to our favoured diamond formation. I'd look to get Shea back in goal after Jones pointed remarks about Stech.

Back 4 id look to play Sheehan and Bradley and not get hung up on the 2 left footers thing. Must admit im not getting the Pearson hype at all, didnt even think he looked good against Sunderland like others seemed to, and was dreadful on Saturday.

Midfield Rea will have to replace McCormack and get Grant back in alongside Pelly. Shinnie to play the 10 and then Collins/Hylton up front. Perhaps harsh on Lee who hasnt done anything wrong per se, but i dont like him in the 10 role and I think Collins despite not having been too involved in the last 2 is more likely to pop up in the box with a scrappy goal that we need.

I really dont know what to expect of Southend as we have been away for so long Ive sort of lost contact of who the decent players are at this level! From reading about online they seem to have started quite brightly and create a lot of chances, so good be an entertaining game. Im thinking a high score draw, 2-2 or something like that to leave us with more questions than answers!

Just booked myself on the coach for our away trip to Oxford tomorrow night.
Not to worry Oxford fans Stanley have a habit of being the team that ends winless runs!
I felt we held our own against Charlton but we're a bit short up front with Kayden Jackson moving on.

I'm fairly confident we can end that unfortunate run for you. Ask Port vale or Gillingham, neither of them had won away since biblical times until they turned up here.

No idea what has happed to Stech. Looked a very decent signing last season but made quite a few errors, some of which were comical. Chucking the ball into his own net against Lincoln which has to be seen to be believed. He can make outstanding saves but the errors are costly and in this league we can't afford them. No doubt whatsoever that we will revert back to the system we are used. We need to play to our strenghts and not worry about what other teams might do. A valuable lesson was learnt on Saturday.
Know very little about Southend. Seemed to have consolidated their league one status and will be looking to take the next step. This match will give us a clearer indication as to what the level is in this league.
Can't underestimate the value of a win tomorrow. A loss or even a draw and the natives might start getting restless.
