That is a class win.

Very solid performance by us against a pretty good Coventry side.

Well that truly was a game of two halves earlier today. A brilliant game of football that wouldn’t have looked out of place in the league above. Honestly, one of the best games I’ve seen down at The Valley for a few years.

Sunderland 1-0 up and in complete control in the first 45 minutes before we dominated the second and could and maybe should have won in the end but don’t think either side can complain about a draw.

At home we tend to try and fly out the blocks and score a few before half time. Sunderland’s early goal would have blown that game plan out of the water and we never really got going after that, Sunderland obviously did their homework and pressed and closed down quickly to stop us moving the ball around quickly and forced mistakes.

Thankfully we got to half time only a goal down and Bowyer must have let off a few rockets as the second half was a complete reverse of the first, Sunderland really struggled with Lyle Taylor and we carved out numerous opportunities to win the game.

A draw was more than fair and very entertaining game in front of a good crowd and decent atmosphere. Hope for more of the same post-Roland.

Totally agree with this. We did batter you first half and better finishing would have seen us home and dry but my god that second half fucked with my nerves. Lyle Taylor is a handful and now i wish he chose to join us but not being based in London made that impossible. However he put himself about and was a clever striker, got lucky with the deflected goal but you deserved a draw, Watmore come on and is getting back to full fitness but his pace on the break is frightening and with better finishing could have won us the game but that wouldn’t of been fair on you lot as your second half performance warranted a positive result. Charlton and Barnsley creeping up and we play Luton next week which is huge in terms of autos. Been a great season and i must admit it has been a lot more competitive than sides outside the top two divisions think. Good results in FA Cup for league one outfits yesterday as well. Lets all enjoy the ride guys.

Yeah, both sides were wasteful in front of goal and will be disappointed they didn’t end up winning it. You really should have put us to bed before half time and we then wasted the chances to punish you for not doing so.

What a massive weekend for the top 3. As long as we win our game versus Blackpool. (Not an easy one as they are a good side) Luton V Sunderland - any result will see us increase our lead at the top. Draw possibly the better result, but we'll either be 8 points or 9 points clear of 3rd.

Kyle Dempsey has joined Posh on loan till the end of the season

He looked to be having a a really good future at Fleetwood but since Barton arrived his chances have been severely restricted. Tbh I think he's had a bit of a bum deal, sure his form has not been great but he's been overlooked and not even on the bench too many times

Hope he does well for you lads and be interested how he plays -he's a good lad and his confidence could do with a boost

Massively looking forward to Saturday. Should be a great atmosphere with a decent Bradford following. I fancy us for the win but reckon it will be scrappy.

What's the biggest away following been at your place this season mate? This will probably be the second biggest after Sunderland. We got an allocation of a 1,000 more tickets yesterday at 3 and they are just about to sell out taking us up 3,000 atm, 1,000 more tickets on the way so could be 4,000+.

You'll be the biggest by a way so far this season. Doncaster brought 1863 which is the biggest so far followed by Pompey who brought 1674.

Sunderland will sell all 5800 and even more if they're given part of the west stand just as they always do.

No-one will get more than 4,600 this season (same as last season) thanks to the actions of Leeds fans a couple of years ago, smashing up the concourse etc.

The part of the West stand nearest the away end is off limits and has been for years due to "safety reasons".

That's because they're massive and do what they want.

Definitely going to take a beating on Saturday, and more than likely for the rest of this month.

With how quick its happened the players arent going to be in a good state of mind for some really huge games and we are going to have start searching for a new manager with basically no notice.

Mid table here we come.

It really depends on the new man. Hasselbaink carried on Rowetts work at Burton. Appleton would be a great fit as he likes his side to play football, my only thing would be he's been out of the management game for a while now.

Appleton wouldn't be a bad shout. I'm convinced there's a good manager in there, if he'd just hang around in one place for a while.

You think?
Yeah, Nathan Jones could have made a huge mistake. If he got you promoted then that would have been better for him. He now needs to be a success at Stoke. I reckon he was doing something special at Luton and it’s a shame.

Seems like issues on the M6 might have prevented some of their fans making the game as well. Thank goodness for small mercies I guess?

Bit of a shame if any of them did miss it, despite the result seeing your League 1 side in a league cup semi final, youd still want to be there.

Probably too busy with Jones’ entourage...
