That is a class win.

Very solid performance by us against a pretty good Coventry side.

You are truly our bogie team! We never win at Glandford Park.

AFC Wimbledon next at the Ricoh. They are bottom of the league but I am sure they will make it hard for us. I predict a one nil win.

Smashed again by Barnsley. After seeing them twice this year can say they are the best team we've faced this season.

We got absolutely hammered down the flanks all game. Started well in the first 15/20mins and then after that it was all them.

Totally outclassed today could have been more, hopefully just a blip against a very good team because we haven’t played that bad in a while.

Easiest 3 points of the season for us today, really could have been 6 or 7.

Johnny Williams a class above anyone else on the pitch, like the kid at school that was clearly better than everyone else and runs with the ball with no-one getting near him, a real coup from Bowyer if he stays fit.

Beginning to believe we can finish in the top two. Front two with 25 goals between them already, a midfield of Williams, Cullen and Aribo (who both should be back in the next week or 2) is just orgasmic at this level.

If we can get another attacking option in and keep our squad together, no reason we can’t go on a run and finish in the top two. When we’re at full strength I don’t believe there are three teams better than us in this league, if any.

A game of 2 halves and Oxford thoroughly deserved a draw -how come you are in the relegation zone ? Fleetwood have a great forward line with real punch, Paddy Madden again a class act. The problem is we have a defence which at the moment is seriously sh... as 10 goals conceded in the last 3 home games testifies, The good news is we still have an enviable record against the U's, unbeaten in something like 8 games, but boy they came close to breaking that duck today !

Sunderland looked dangerous but we kept them at range. Think we could and prob should have won, looking the better side creating alot of chances with their keeper making three or four really great saves and one worldie.

But a fantastic result on balance with a typical Hilton blip as well as going a goal down against the run of play. I can't complain.

Definitely take that 1-1 as I thought we were going to get a pounding today after the events of the week. In the main I thought we were the better team to be honest as well, don’t really know what happened with the Hylton sending off as I didn’t really see it, wouldn’t surprise me at all if he has done something idiotic though.

If we had a full compliment of players I felt we had a good opportunity to go one better and win that, but like I say happy to take the point.

Loving watching these guys at the minute, last few games have been great and today was the best so far. Bradford seemed to be having an off day to be fair but even if they were on form today I reckon we’d still have won. Could have been 6 instead of 3 as we missed a few absolute sitters. Good times though and after a tough Christmas and new year we’re heading into a much less trying few games (on paper). Good times.

Getting a point after this week is a cracking result in the circumstances; and to be fair it would’ve been an excellent result even if Judas had stayed as I expected nil poits from this game.

What is the matter with Sunderland? They should be walking the league with their resources... they have players earning £30k a week there and probably a budget 5-6x the size of ours!

Sunderland’s fans not happy with Lee Probert... but he got the penalty decision right and the stamp correct too from Maguire; that looked particularly nasty and a bit shithousery. The Hylton red card is inconclusive from the video.

Seemed a soft pen tbh from the iFollow stream and both reds were inconclusive with distant views imo. Great point but still a little disappointed. We really took it to them and I'd be surprised if any Sunderland fans didn't think we were decent. Gotta keep it going tho.

Our upturn in form continues. I know the league table does not reflect this bit the form table does. We need to forget the table and just plug away on our own total match by match. Decent point yesterday.

That game had just about everything. A very entertaining one for the neutral. For the respective fans we must feel happier. I also didn't expect us get anything but credit to the players who were thoroughly professional and to the fans who really got behind the team. Sunderland fans will be more disappointed with only one point not that they deserved more. They were the home team and we were there for the taking yet I felt we looked as if we wanted it more. Sunderland for a large part of the game sat back and tried to hit us on the break instead of taking the game to us. Their keeper made some excellent saves, particularly the point blank effort from Collins from 6 yards, no idea how he kept that out. After the Hylts sending off we naturally had to defend more but still had a couple of chances to win it. The fans sang loud and proud at the end and the result and performance was just what we needed as we attempt to get through what is a very tough month, not just because of Jones exit (still fuming about the timing of it) but because of the number of very hard games we have, league and cup, and the stadium decision meetings affecting the whole future of the club.

I knew we'd fuck that up yesterday. A win would have seen us take total control of the promotion race but we were abysmal and Blackpool weren't much better.

We need reinforcements otherwise we are going to slip out of the top two.

As Bobbin said very comfortable for Charlton. Better than us in every department on the pitch and but for 2 good 1on1 saves from Arnold it would have been a lot worse.
But, and its quite a big but, thats comfortably our worst home performance of the season, we have no goals in us apart from the odd set piece and in Luke Waterfall have one of the worst defenders I've seen in a long time. Its very common that after being embarrassed, fans will say how poorly they played and not give enough credit to the visiting team and there is something in that but fair play to Charlton, they have kicked on from the end of last season whereas we have gone backwards at an alarming rate and are very much in a relegation battle.

Looking at the highlights the Penalty looked a bit soft although he is impeded in getting a shot off. The Hylton inconclusive as you say but I think somewhat telling he feigns injury immediately after the challenge.

Their red is 100% a red card though. Blatant stamp on McCormack. From the way Sunderland fans seem to be going on about it I thought it was the biggest injustice since the beginning of time itself, but the pen is in the seen them given category and in the Premier League where they were not too long ago, I’d suggest a pen every time, and the red is pretty clear.

Penalty was definite from the angle I had, clearly impeded him but a bold call from the ref to be fair.

Hylton sending off looked soft on initial look but replay is inconclusive and you never know with Hylts. The Collins one not long after could easily have been a red and probably would have been was it still 11 vs 11.

We were massively the better team until the sending off, would have been gutted had we lost that. Collo should have buried his chance first half as should JJ in the second. Great spirit shown under the circumstances, hopefully we can keep that up as it's one huge game after the other now.

Another game, another stark reminder that we paid Portsmouth 500k for Conor Chaplin.

After 6 losses in a row, we now have four wins in a row. Crazy change in fortune with only one of our 4 new signings playing a part.

Tony McMahon has been massive in the victories though, makes such a huge difference actually having a RB say RB.

Good result for us yesterday. Despite the 2 late Southend goals (dubious penalty and half way line screamer) it was comfortable.

7 points from 9 and 3 good performances. 2 winnable home games now against Cov and Walsall too.

Second half of the season revival underway!

Unfortunately having to take 4 key members out of the team we have really suffered from lack of squad rotation. Its been great being able to play the same team week in week out, but it has meant the players coming in aren't on the same wave length. Hawkins up top is key to how we play and Ben Thompson has been MOTM in pretty every game he's played for us. We are putting alot of pressure on Cannon and Bryn Morris stepping up to the plate.

It was really evident on Saturday, there were times that the players seemed like strangers, it was bizarre. We’re just gonna have to hope for a strong January window and a chance to steady the ship.. we haven’t played well for a while now (unless against 10 men)

I thought the first half against Wimbledon we could have been 3 or 4 up. Battered Gills away, just couldn't score. Sat was probably the worst perfomance of the season and we were lucky to get away with Luton/Sunderland draw. Charlton seem to be gathering momentum. Just need to get a settled side and clear up injuries. The two new guys will take a few games to get up to speed, just need to smash and grab a few wins and stay top until we are in full flow again.

10th in the form table over the last 6 games and 3rd over the last 3 games. Could we be turning this around again. Big game at home against Coventry Saturday and Walsall on Tuesday. Would take 4 points from both games.

Funny how Luton fans on here say Maguires red was right yet it has been overturned yet they don’t appeal there own players red who the fans were unsure of, anyhow thats by the by, on reflection it was an iffy penalty but a point was fair and both sides could have won the game, after mcgeady hit the bar Wykes rebound header from 5 yards out was crap and should of went in but it didn’t so you just get over it. Mclaughlin made some good saves as Luton had chances and i was impressed by them but we were missing Maja who could of been our match winner but he was struck with illness (or is he on his bike soon as most of us think). The race for top 2 now comes down to 5 teams for me, us, Pompey,Luton, Charlton & Barnsley and im not sure how its gonna go but i hope for the neutrals its exciting but for me i hope we go up without any nail biting (as a safc fan i know we’ll do it the hard way or fuck it up).

Scunthorpe next, they are in form and it should be a good game.

There surely must be another angle of the Maguire red as it looks an obvious stamp in the main camera shot.

We weren’t sure of the Hylton one as the camera missed most of it, he has a broken nose from whatever happened though so something has gone on clearly

Pretty certain that we won’t be in the running for the top 2 post losing Jones. It was pretty obvious on Tuesday in the cup that we are in need of some fresh faces but not sure we will get the right ones, if any at all, with no manager at the helm. Up front looking particularly light with Cornick injured, Hylton suspended, Lee playing the 10 role and limping off on Tuesday with what I hop was just cramp but might be more. Options off the bench were also a lot more limited with Grant going back.

I’m still none the wiser why Maguire’s red was overturned? That was clear as day surely?

Sunderland probably benefit from a million pitch side cameras for the Netflix second season which I doubt they would share with us for the Hylton one. Only reason I can imagine it got overturned, no way is the main angle clear enough to rescind.
