On the bench. Woodrow hatty would be nice instead.

Realistically think we're in for a tough game and tasking nothing for granted after Saturday and Oxfords last result beating Pompey

Yeah you’d like to think maybe because he needs a rest but with all the speculation it’s not great to see him out of the line up.

We've absolutely dominated this and should be 3 or 4 up, no question. Pompey struggling with the conditions which is odd because we've played some great 1 touch football in it.

The missed chances worries me though especially after the first game of the season at Fratton. Hopefully won't be another smash and grab job from them second half.

Oxford been the better side and deserve their lead. Should be 2-0 had it not been for Adam Davies’ heroics although to be fair it was partly his fault they nearly scored too. Need to step it up a notch second half.

Sounds like we could be on the end of a drubbing. Lucky to only be one down at the moment.

2-0 Oxford and now they’ve just shut up shop, and rightly so. Not getting anything here.

We did enough to get a draw out of that after Bogle made an impact. Unfortunately we've lost this game because of a dubious penalty and a free kick which clearly shouldn't have been given.

There's still a long way to go but I'll be furious if that costs us at the end of the season. Terrible decisions from the referee.

Wow. What a game what a turnaround. So much credit to Pompey. Destroyed first half then completely turn it around. Clearly I was very wrong in my Bogle assessment.

What a heart we have tho. Lfg. Top by 5 points after that January. Let's keep the pedal to the floor

Like the free kick you got given against us at home last season that wasn't one and you scored from? Karma.

Absolutely gutted. Back into it twice, and then a terrible free kick decision ruins our night. Can't really complain though, we should have been 3-0 down after the first half alone. Bogle looks good at least, and it could have been 3-2 the other way. Luton are class.

Make up for the terrible luck we had on day 1?

Fucking love being wrong. What a last 3rd of that game, reyt bunch of lads here. Stendel set out wrong trying to match Oxford tactics, start that game with same team and formation as last few and we win. Not moaning though, delighted with a point from 2-0 down.

PS Jacob Brown needs tying down asap.

Nope because that was just sheer uncontrollable luck rather than awful decision making by the referee.

You should have been out of sight after the first half. We never turned up and got battered in midfield. Mpenzu looks a hell of a player.

But I'd say we had the better of the second half as Bogle caused chaos in the box. The penalty decision for Luton's second looked soft and Walkes clearly takes the ball before Moncur predictably scored the winner.

Plenty of positives to take from that second half but I still think we need one more quality signing to get back into the swing of things. At least Barnsley didn't win.

I’ve not seen it yet - So i cant judge. Simon Hooper was the referee right?

Shocking performance for 70 minutes from us and could easily have been 4 or 5 down. A point is decent in the circumstances and credit to the lads for scrapping to get it, but we've missed a big opportunity to go 2nd tonight. God knows why we went with Woodrow up top on his own in those conditions and against that side.

Kudos to Oxford as well tbf. Second game in a row they've outplayed a promotion chasing side.

Christ we made hard work of that after the first half! Fair play to Pompey, they looked a different team second half. Bogle changed the game and is the first striker this season that has terrified the hell out of Bradley and Pearson. Clearly he is a class player at this level. Pompey looked good when they got on the ball and played. They carved us open a couple of times with moves starting from the centre half carrying the ball out and driving through midfield.

I thought the pen and free kick were harsh. Did think we should have had a pen in the first when Lua Lua got sandwiched after Collins charged down the keeper so maybe evened out a bit. To be honest I would have taken a draw with 10 mins left so delighted to win it in the end.

Massive, massive, massive result. I said at the start of the month if we were still in touch with the top we'd have a great chance as we were getting all our big games out the way. To then start the month as we did by losing the manager... To be where we are now is absolutely incredible, it really is. What an incredible month.

Forza Micky Harford!

Well that was rather exciting.

Even though we scored 4 some of our decision making in the final 3rd was terrible, could have scored 5 or 6 with the right ball or a better finish. Can't remember our keeper really making a save, just punished 3 times.

Yup. Hasn't been in charge of a Pompey game for over four years I think?

The penalty is in the "debatable" category but I think it's soft. It's never a free kick in a million years, though and you just knew Moncur was going to bend an unstoppable one into the corner.

So long as Luton don't do anything stupid like make a dumb managerial appointment or sell their best players between now and Thursday, then they'll go up. Best side we've played this season over two games and I doubt any other team can match that other than Charlton.

As already stated, mixed feelings tonight. Should have been dead and buried at half time, but suddenly in the second half we were a threat for the first time in weeks. Bogle already looking like a good fit. Luton still have the momentum and on a great run, but I'm more optimistic about our chances now as we head out of the transfer window.

One positive is winter is always bleak for us and we usually tend to discover (or rediscover) form when Spring arrives, so our season is far from over yet.

What a night, fair play to Portsmouth coming back in to it in the second half after taking an absolute battering in the first. No idea why any Luton fan would have thought Bogle was a bad signing for Pompey given he has given us nightmares every single time we've played him. I guess he hasn't had much football and barely knows his teammates but Jackett really should have had him in the starting lineup.

Still can't quite believe Luton are top of the table, I would have been delighted with a playoff challenge in our first year back in League One .

Just watched the penalty back - it’s hard to say; it’s certainly a difficult decision for the referee. I’d argue if it wasn’t, the ball wouldn’t have gone behind the fouling player. The Portsmouth players aren’t complaining either.

Fantastic first half, should have been out of sight. Difference between the two sides was ridiculous, looked like we were playing on different surfaces. McGillveray (sp?) is some keeper. Would have been criminal if we had gone in level. Scored a well worked goal at a point where it looked like Pompey had weathered the storm.

We were never going to be able to keep up those levels in the second half and Pompey couldnt be that poor. Indeed the introduction of Bogle changed things and immediately the ball was sticking up top for Pompey. Deservedly equalised and fully expected us to lose after that.

Penalty was not a penalty. Im in block J of the enclosure around level with the byline and Lua Lua basically passed it out for a goal kick and ran into the defender. Harsh.

Switched off for the equaliser. Poor defending.

If the penalty was harsh, the free kick was soft. If we had conceded those, I'd have been raging.

Despite that, I think on balance we deserved it due to our first half dominance. Great night and end of the month. Cant split Lua Lua and Justin as MotM, both excellent. Pelly not far behind.

Pompey were strong once they got going. As before, the keeper is class. Curtis and Lowe dangerous, although the latter kept pretty quiet by Justin. Bogle is going to be a handful. Incidentally Pompey fans, try Grimsbys old chant for him to 'Tender' by Blur. Much better than Dont You Want Me Baby.

This month we have played Pompey , Sunderland, Peterborough and Barnsley and took 8 points, plus a win at Southend. All whilst losing Jones and having one available striker. Mental.

Just give the job to Mick. Bloody love the man.

Up the fucking Hats.

We need 30 points for promotion with 16 games left. Unthinkable to be in this position right now. At home we’ve taken I think 39 out of 45 available which is unbelievable.

We were pretty poor again last night but at least we kept a clean sheet.
I feel pretty sure we will go down.

Sorry to interrupt Pompey and Luton.

Carry on
