We are trying hard and are not playing too bad. However when ypunonly have one barely fit striker you are not going to win games. It's about the rebuild for league 2 now.
and just hope that the other lot dont go up either auto or play offs. They can never be above us again.

3 wins on the trot and a home game against Walsall on Tuesday to hopefully take us out of the bottom 4 for the first time in god knows how long.

Coventry battered us first half today and we had some great saves from Letheren/poor finishing from Coventry to thank that we were 0-0 at ht. Second half it was the curse of the ex player but it worked in our favour this time - the Ruben Lameiras show! He’s in the form of his life and such an entertainer.

Cov play good football and may have been value for a draw - I was particularly impressed with their skipper in the middle who ran the game I think. Good following from them and the ones I spoke to in the Brit pre match were a good friendly bunch.

Was a total pain in the ass getting served in there! I left for the ground at 2:15..

No sympathy at all Tommy. We have one of the most beautiful waterside areas with around 15 pubs in about a 200m square area less than 15 minutes away from the ground and you chose a damn souless weatherspoons. Poor planning sir

Fascinating how this League 1 relegation battle keeps changing, too many twists and turns to list here.

I'll just add that even Accrington might get sucked in, that's some run Plymouth are on after they had only 20 points from 28 games recently, and the Luton fan who suggested Walsall might be in a false position when they completely outclassed them back in October to really kick-start their promotion push seems to be right.

This truly god awful shit fest of a season carries on regardless. We need to concentrate on getting our squad right now for next season rather than this one. I don't want another relegation battle in league two on our hands next season.

The good news about last nights result was we did'nt get a man sent off ! Dont want to unnerve any of you Wombles but Fleetwood's track record against the bottom teams this season has been shite, either way 3-0 away is good going. Hope you have a good day against the Hammers

Though if this is how they perform against a midtable side in the same division, I dread to think what the scoreline will be against a Premier League team in a similar position.

I confidently predict it won't be another 9-0 though.

Thankfully we can forget about the League this weekend due to the FA Cup but we're only 5 points above that dotted line now. The team seemed to completely lose their discipline last Saturday at Charlton with Sam Finley getting at least a 3 match ban for a stamp although the keeper's red was rescinded.
We were 4th back in October so it all feels quite disappointing but realistically anywhere above the drop zone would have been brilliant for us before the season started.
Everyone at Stanley will breathe a sigh of relief when the transfer window closes.

A stamp? Was more like assualt, shame Sykes isn't getting the same. Dirty Northern c*nts, go back to non league where you belong.

What a crazy month January has been for us. Expected it to be tough and a defining month. A little sad to miss out this weekend on the glamour of Chelsea away but really excited to see what Roots Hall and Southend away can produce.

Didn't expect to be going there knowing a draw knocks Pompey off the top for realistically the first time this season. Testing times with vital planning permissions, losing Jones and playing all our peers Maybe we're gonna fly and out all of the cups can only help that with winter coming.

Couple of weeks or so and we'll have a great understanding of where we sit, on and off the pitch

Peterborough’s appeal for Ryan Tafazolli has been rejected; which was less of a red card than Chris Maguire’s red (although admittedly still a red)... I’m still at a loss to know how Maguire got off that one.

5 points from 3 games this month so far. If we can make that 9 from 5 I’d be absolutely delighted.

That's a very good return on three Managerless games against Top 6 sides. I'd agree a win and a draw in next two would be outstanding, even more so if the win is against Pompey in a 6 pointer.

Whatever happens you will be top when we play you, hopefully it will be short lived at the summit. Could affect us with a dip in form or spur us on.

Whatever happens, nothing will be decided on Tuesday certainly not. Even if either party get dicked 5-0, they’ll still be very much in striking distance and could be overtaken the following week

Scunny at home tomorrow who ( last Saturday apart ) have improved substantially with their new manager. I seem to think we have never beaten them at home and if thats the case then a win is overdue
Paddy Madden up against his old team, he has been fantastic for us this season ably supported by Evans/Burns/Hunter and now young Ashley Nadesdan
I am going for half the score we achieved at their place 2.5 - 0

We drew 1-1 with Sunderland last Saturday which was a pretty good result.

You beat us 2-1 the other year at home, paddy madden scored for us ironically.

We will want revenge for Fleetwood beating us 5-0 earlier this year. Would take a point
though really.

Top o’ the league.

Not an overly exciting first half- both teams playing a pretty intense style of football which I kind of expected from Southend after what I saw of them earlier in the season. Neither side really having too many decent opportunities; most of the play in the middle third.

Luton win 1-0 and stretch the unbeaten run to 16 games in the Football League. First time in 50 years in the FL we’ve hit that mark.

Today's game might have been the worst in football history.

Our two chances came from Fleetwood defenders with one of them putting it in the net. We managed to win without a shot on target.

Our keeper barely made a save either, it was just awful football.

Good to pick up another win and keep moving away from the relegation zone.

Now we have played you twice, very happy to see Scunthorpes upturn in form. Will hopefully take some points off our promotion rivals. Speaking of which...

What a time to be alive. Unbeaten in 16, top the League, Pompey at home Tuesday. Give Mick the job until end of the season, lads just need to keep doing what they are doing, do not need a new regime and ideas.

Up the fucking Hats.

Too lazy to look up such a thing but feels like Pompey haven't been off top spot since like September? Huge psychological boost ahead of Tuesday which is MASSIVE, cannot wait for that.
