With their resources ive not been impressed with their transfer business from the summer or in January and im not sure how they have ended up with that group of centre backs they have. For me a team of their size should have the best team on paper at the very least for this level and I really dont think they have.

O'nien, a very good midfield player is seemingly playing at right back for them as well. Doesnt make a heck of a lot of sense from the outside looking in.

If you want a laugh tonight, read Sunderland Town's forum.

I'll pass thanks.

Unless your club has gone bust due to incompetent or criminal ownership, you have nothing to complain about.

Unless your ground has been removed from your ownership due to greed and you have to move elsewhere, you have nothing to complain about.

Unless your club gets franchised based on a pack of lies which perpetuate to this day and you have to start again, you have nothing to complain about.

If your owner takes out more than he puts in you have something to complain about, especially if criminal activities are involved.

If you've been relegated twice in a row, that's part and parcel of being a football club. If you're still in the playoff spots, that's good. If you're good enough, you'll get back to your club's natural level, whatever that might be.

This league consists of former Prem clubs fallen on hard times, a lot of consistent lower league clubs just trying to get by, and a couple who have made their way from non-league. You're here for a reason.

Good solid display at Gillingham yesterday, we have just come good at the right time after a dreadful season.

Have to say Gills were awful, not at all what I expected....looked like their players were mentally already on their summer holidays.

One more point from Oxford or Walsall at home will do it...already written Barnsley away off next week.

Ricketts Out.

Playing for pride now.. And hopefully turn pompey and Luton over for a top 8 finish.

You certainly aren't on the beach like some might hope!

Credit to you for that as it would be easy to do.

Bradford City certainly deserved a draw out of that game yesterday. Rovers were ugly, nervous & tense but I suppose what mattered in the end was the 3 points. Can't remember his name but that little bloke playing for City was very good and I was also glad Scannell was substituted. The difference today was JCH. Get it together and I reckon you'll be back after one season. I still think we need another 4 points to be safe.

Assuming it’s as bad as it sounds, I suspect he’ll weasel out of it with a fine and a ban for a few games.

As it’s football, normal rules don’t apply.
The following is on our Official Web Site

' Fleetwood Town have been made aware of an alleged incident following Saturday's game against Barnsley

We are currently establishing the facts and will not make any further comment at this time '

Neither will I......

Good to get back to winning ways yesterday, God knows who's going to take 2nd spot.

Hope Barton gets what he deserves if it's true he's assaulted Stendel.

Yeah I’m stil far from certain we are up. Got to bounce back from something we haven’t experienced in 6 months!

Accrington away, on the tv no less with our crap record on it, is also one of the last games I’d have picked to follow as well as the fact we will have some more pressure playing after everyone else has on Friday. They have plenty of incentive themselves with a win pulling them away from danger, not sure how much of a factor it will be but they also seem to really not like us very much at all given how they have acted the last 2 times we have played them.

Wouldnt surprise me at all if we go into the last game still needing something.

It's been a weird old season. In the land of ifs and maybes if we beat Burton and Coventry last week we could have went top on Friday. Instead though we are 3rd and needing to beat teams in the top 6, something we haven't done all season to stand a chance of going up.

We have been that shit at home all season my salopian friend.
If it wasn’t for our away form we would be below Bradford.
If anyone can manage to get relegated from this position it is us.
Let’s just get this god awful season over and rip it up and start again.

You'll be fine, don't worry. Although, if you lose to Accrington on their form then maybe you don't deserve to go up.

I fully expect you to make up for Saturday and put 3/4 past them

Ok Fleetwood are taking the piss now, appealing this red

I watched the video, Souttar went in with elbow flying and thats a red, who knows what they are appealing against. The weekend game with you is turning into a nightmare, everybody but everybody is disgusted by what Barton did. Cant see anyway the club cant sack him, our Chairman must be seething, only last week he was on local TV praising Barton, talk about being kicked in the teeth. He appointed him so its up to him to sort out pronto
Be interesting to see if Barton is there for Good Friday's match against Posh
BTW hope your manager bills Barton for the 'emergency dental repair work'

Seeing as how Sky have messed up our Easter programme, I think that I might nip up the road to see Burton v Portsmouth tomorrow, if they'll let me in.
For ONE DAY ONLY I'll be supporting Burton, hoping that they can take points off a rival, before slipping back to poor form next Sat!
So Mr Bartonyellow, any advice? Any songs that I need to learn, or is it just a case of shouting 'Yellows' every ten minutes or so?

If you can say "brewers brewers brewers" in a monosyllabic drone you will be alright. Or. Perhaps the occasional "albion" then you have most of the repuotoir.
Or you could stand there in silence like most do...
Thanks for your 20 quid though! Feel free to start some original songs off..

Doesn't look like McCormack will be back for Saturday as I had hoped he would be for us. Disappointing as although Pelly has played well as an individual in his stead, its clear the overall is better with a more typical DM in front of the 2 centre halves, we really lacked any steel in there to withstand pressure last weekend. As Pelly cant be shifted back to his usual spot it also probably means that the desperately needs dropping Lee has to stay in albeit back at the 10 spot.

Seen a lot of people calling for Thorne to come in and play but not been particularly impressed with what little I have seen and doesnt look like the kind of midfield player we like but we shall see what happens. Ive a nasty inkling we might see Justin shifted into midfield which is not something I like us doing at all.

Not heard much about Lua Luas injury but a Cornick/Collins partnership is i think a pretty decent alternative. Not expecting an easy game, depending on results we could have a bit of pressure going in and we tend to not perform in front of the cameras. Got a feeling it will be a draw on the cards.

I agree as ever with a lot that you say. Really missed Rea and or McCormack. Lee def needs a rest and we have options with Connolly and Cummings. I have a feeling the defeat last week will have dented pride and we will rise to any pressure exerted by the Good Friday results.

Could be a huge day for us. Sunderland and Portsmouth both have tricky games against Donny and Burton respectively. Shrewsbury will be no push overs though.

We're playing Blackpool. They're our bogey team and we're without a single RB. Loss once again.

But at least someone found piranhas in your lakes. I think that is quite distinctive and cool. Not much of a consolation, but hey ho.

Barnsley and Pompey win - the latter in injury time meaning some pressure on Sunderland.
