Ha, just googled and he's only 34! I thought he'd dropped into the glue leagues a while ago.

Ooh, he did frustrate me when he played for us. I'm sure he could head a ball ball harder and more accurately than he could kick it.
Oh I’ve always hated the bastard. He’s just that type of player. He’ll always get a gig at the lower ends of this league and the one below though, does the job. Cox probably wants him to be to them what Matt Rhead was for his Mansfield side when they won the conference

Who's going to win this league now? Gloucester have been found out now Asante has left, as have York (although they have a big bank balance to put it right). Boston maybe, or Kidderminster? Interesting league this season. Our best may be to sneak into the play-offs, but unlikely under these pair,

I think teams above us, teams below us, we need to keep plugging away and try and beat everybody. In an ideal world like, totally agree it's gonna be a peculiar season. It's mental York have 7 games in hand on Gloucester!

Very even game with Boston, neither side really having a huge chance to win it. Would take that point with McClure, Gunning and Carline missing. Bit of a rest now till Curzon so hopefully get everyone back before then. Spotted quite a few prospective managers in the stand, Tim Flowers and Jamie McAllister were two.

All about just getting three points for us tonight. Scrappy game and 3-0 flattered us a bit but it was comfortable.
A win is a win, but I think the real positive was the performance of 18-year old Will Goodwin, who put in a m-o-m on his full debut.

Lost 1-0 at home to Farsley tonight, with the only bonus being we were allowed fans back in (although being in a tier 3 area I didn't head back to watch, so watched the live stream again). We conceded early as they sliced our defence apart and slotted through Hanford's legs, and they were the better side for the rest of the first half. Second half we huffed and puffed but rarely threatened, and I don't think their keeper had a serious save to make all game.

We've now lost 4 on the bounce at home, and have 4 points from our last 6 games overall. We seem completely devoid of ideas, and only able to play on the counter-attack against other poor sides. Watson is persisting with a back 5 too, even though we look so uncomfortable with it. I fear for us this weekend against Alfreton, it seems we're not willing to change things and I can see us being easily bullied and losing to a set piece.

Pretty sure you will still beat us comfortably on Saturday. We are awful and badly lacking in confidence.

You couldn’t write this shit, we have two grounds and in tier 2 but can’t have fans in Saturday both grounds don’t have a safety certificate.
New ground is a joke and 3 years late, the bumbling building company and council have made a right mess of it,at the moment drainage problem.
Old one failed safety certificate and will not be done in time for Saturday.
On a footballing note Blyth are a poor a team and can’t see them getting of bottom.Last night was weird seem to play 2nd half at 50% effort and still won 3-0,looked like they were saving themselves for upcoming games.
We seem to have 3 very good attacking players just need rest getting up to speed.

I fear they will. It's more than 20 years since we beat York.

He is. I don't think he's at fault for us being awful at home though as he doesn't pick the team and formation. Given how he did with you guys I think he's best being kept as a number 2 at the most!

Over three years after he left we are still recovering. He had the biggest ever budget in our time as a reformed club and managed to set us up for relegation. Mind you the fault lay with the board of the time who gave him that two year extension. They were and still are in the main amateurs.

Carline released, thank God. He's been sulking since Rowe left and rumour is has faked injury to not play... He'd then lost his place to Jack James who has been fantastic since he's come in. He's got a hell of a throw which is a Delap like threat but (albeit few) appearances he had for us he didn't look that great in all honesty. Better off rid.

I agree with you about the board at the time they should not have spent all our reserves in a bid to gain promotion then after avoid relegation, but I do think the current board have done a fabulous job to keep us afloat in the current trying times.

I suspect he will be pitching up at our place imminently then.

Well we went to Bodton and won well after a good entertaining game. We are at last beginning yo look like a team and I think we will climb the table quite rapidly niwvproviding players stay fit. Looking forward to the visit of Guiseley on Tuesday to Victory Park and hopefully another 3 points.

The picture was actually really good with little movement but stuttered a lot with faster paced action. But it cut out a few times, the sound went and we missed the last 15 minutes completely. I do like how your fans were venting at the twitter feed about it all game and then a cheap quip at us and the wind starts blowing in a different direction very quickly. Brilliant deflection to be fair, might have genuinely saved a few refund requests.

I thought we played quite well and deserved more but we continue to concede really bad goals. Can't even begin to describe how bad those two were today from set pieces.

Joel Taylor left out for us today, appears that Chesterfield are trying to sign him and going about it in a slightly underhand way as well. Jonno not amused.

I think it's a secret
He had it written into his £950 a week two year contract that he could leave if a team from a higher division came in for him. It looks like his mate Joel Taylor will be joining him, but it won't be for nothing.
