We've made 2 signings this week Caleb Richards has joined on loan from Norwich and Omari Sterling-James has joined. I think OSJ could be a great addition.

Did nothing whilst on loan with us in 2019... although his pedigree is sound.

Hopefully he's better than the spell with you. I'm hoping he just needs to be playing consistently because that seemed to be the case when he joined Solihull. And Moors fans seemed to want him back.

Very worried about the season ahead for us. We've got 11 players signed, 1 of which has been told to leave as well as having several injuries to the team. We had over a dozen trialists out yesterday and had to play two midfielders as strikers. The results in pre-season have also been worrying. defeats away at Halesowen, Stourbridge and Weston Super-mare and to higher graded opposition in Newport. We have beaten TNS and drew with a local side. I know I shouldn't look too much into the pre-season but it isn't a great sign.

What's happening with Brandon Hall? I notice he's not on your website or been involved in any fixtures. I know he's been training at Shrewsbury but he's been doing that since he joined you.

He was asked to take a pay cut to fit in with the new budget, which he refused so has been told he can find a new club. Doesn’t look like he will be involved in the coming season.

He had other offers apparently but decided to move to Curzon.

Could be a location thing more so than money

Curzon bank rolled on 200 fans,
They always beat us anyway so them getting points of other teams can only help us.
Played them 8 times, drew 2 lost 6 and 3 managers sacked after losing to them.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Don’t think Curzon are bankrolled as heard nothing about any new input of cash or new investors.

the current set up fell out with Flanagan over a lack of backing on players.

I am wondering if Curzon just being very lucky with the current market. A couple of Manchester based conf national teams to nick cast offs from, plus part time players now desperate to hold their normal jobs during a recession maybe choosing location ahead of football wage due to fears of finding similar jobs in other areas and thinking best to remain where they are.

Ryan Whitley (loan to Scarborough till jan)
Harry Flatters

Defenders

Michael Duckworth
Sean Newton
Matty Brown
Robbie Tinkler
Scott Barrow
Kieran Kennedy
Harry Spratt
Josh king
Charlie Jebson king (1st year apprentice)
Reiss Harrison (1st year apprentice)

midfield

Paddy McLaughlin
Owen Gamble
Michael Woods
Olly Dyson
Akil Wright
Alex Woolerton
Alfie Whitfield (1st year apprentice)

strikers

Jake Cassidy
Jack Redshaw
Ruan Potts
Harry Bunn
Rob Guilfoyle

16 new signings, but will take time to gel.
Rob Guilfoyle has gone totally under the radar,York lad scored for fun in academy,Hull City took him 2 years ago and has scored 55 goals in U23,if he can handle the physical side of this division we could of got a jem.plus scored 3 out 4 goals we have scored in pre season, doesn’t say much for rest of strikers.

Complete lack of class from everyone involved, though I wonder what kind of offer Croasdale has in the pipeline that made him confident enough to refuse a furlough top-up and then leave his current contract?

Let me guess - Stockport or Harrogate?

Just as much as Croasdale was free to find full-time work or work as a packer for the owner, Croasdale was well within his rights to find another club who would actually pay his salary in full!

We were interested in him. Sign him up Jim.

Topped up to 80%. It's pretty simple - pay your players in full if you don't want to risk losing or upsetting them.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed Ellis but we’re in a global pandemic. I work for a company and I got
80% I didn’t throw my toys out of the pram
and leave. Fuck him. Spoilt little brat

Sure, I am not defending his honour, he's put himself before a club which didn't value paying his wages in full. If you use the excuse 'he could look for work elsewhere whilst on furlough' hes also well within his rights to find a football club who would be in a position to either offer him a better standard of football or more wages. As he was still contracted Fylde would be within their rights for a fee too.

Unfortunately you decided to be naughty boys and now you've lost out on that opportunity.

I bet your company wouldn't publish your personal information like wages and private conversations for the world to see though. Not many places worth their salt do that :).

It seems that word has got round that Fylde are a pretty horrible club to be at. Good luck this season.

"You don't stand a chance. Only players we let go are players we don't want. The Danny rowe situation proved that. Our owner won't let anyone go that'll weaken us. He wants out of the North at the first attempt"

This didn't age well did it!?

Clearly Croasdale has been a prick here, but he was totally within his rights to do what he did and I'm surprised Fylde wasted time and money on challenging this when the freedom to leave a contract that isn't being honoured in full has been long established.

A very Borehamwood-esque statement there - probably comes with the territory.

Someone should tell Haythornethwaite: "you lost - get over it".

Neither party comes out looking good from that Croasdale/Fylde situation but one thing is for sure and that is Fylde would definitely have been better off letting it pass over all our heads like it was doing rather than publish that statement.

Neither come out great. I might be doing him a disservice here because I don't know if it's the full story, but is Croasdale really suggesting that he effectively spends more than 80% of his wages on bills whilst working in an industry where contracts at this level are generally one and two year and basically gambling on picking up a £50k/year contract every time, as the only bread winner in the household?

I mean, he's probably said that just to get out of Fylde but if he's telling the truth, that's pretty reckless and he should have got up off his arse and got stuck in to some other line of work at the same time as he was offered.

Exactly. They’re always quick to blame clubs these players. He threw a hissy fit because he wasn’t getting is full £950 a week. The majority of the country had to get by on 80% furlough. Not only that but he was also offered employment if he was really that hard up. no sympathy at all. He isn’t good enough for 950 anyhow so god knows what we were thinking there
