"Under the original rules of furlough and the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS), it is clear that, prior to 1st July 2020, in order to be eligible to be claimed for under the CJRS, an employee cannot undertake work for or on behalf of the employer’s organisation, or any organisation linked or associated with the employer’s organisation whilst on furlough. This includes providing services or generating revenue for any such organisation."

So Fylde chairman is openly admitting to breaking the law by getting his employees to work in his dog food factory while on furlough. Nice.

At least Flyde’s owner put people on furlough as opposed to ours who just sacked them and still to date allegedly hasn’t paid any redundancy.

We’ll not even mention the budget booster which is allegedly there to pay redundancies.

Fylde embarrassing themselves again?

If they didn't exist, you'd make them up and have a hit comedy show on your hands.

AFC Plastic don’t want to play anyway so it’s a player less to pay wages for.

I very much doubt that HMRC would consider the organisations are linked. Just because two companies share directors does not make them linked in this definition. Completely different businesses in different fields. So. no not breaking the rules on furlough or the law. #just being fair like#

Exactly. Rude boy ben and his monkey mate haven’t quite grasped the fact that our owner knows far more than they do. Stick to stacking shelves

Didn’t know the league rules about paying players in full or you would have still had Croasdale playing for you!

Not like your owner wants to start the season mind.

York’s to lose then. We won’t be up there. We’re rubbish these days. Anyway, where is the value at?

Gateshead are pretty long odds at 25's considering they're full time and made the playoff semi's in the season just gone after a mediocre start.

York or Fylde should be winning it with their resources. Spenny and Boston well backed as PT clubs, both made some decent signings. All probably deserving of their prices.

Brackley are the leagues nearly men. Good side but wouldn't put any money there. Chester are very short considering they lost Asante and operating with a reduced budget.

How on earth are Gateshead still full time? I'm assuming they're still only getting 400-500 a game?

In regards to the reduced budget, we've essentially got the same squad as last year minus Asante, all of the players have been fantastic and taken a wage cut.

Danny Elliott couldn’t get in the team because of Asante last season, he went on loan to Alfreton for a month and blitzed a few goals. Seen a few of our friendlies recently and he’s absolutely looking the business up top to replace the goals.

We all know Jonno is good for a word but I know he’s confident but also keen for us to stay out of the limelight for a change.

I wouldn't read too much in to that. It's York's to lose every season. Bet365 is roughly the same apart from Gateshead who are priced up at 16/1.

Think they averaged around 950 a game. No idea how its all financed after their take over by a few local businessmen and 20% or so by their supports club. The have been rumors Williamson puts money in or Graham Wood is back behind the scenes helping out. Tbf to them as full time goes i can imagine they're no where near the most expensive, fairly small squad with 5 players in on loan for youth sections of championship and league 1 clubs etc.

But as you say full time budgets and non league clubs with low crowds are rarely sustainable.

Fair play. Been lots of good stories coming out of your squad waiving their playoffs money to play the game and similarly taking pay cuts to stay on. All probably testament to your two managers and the team ethic they've built.

My thought is you might be slightly like us last season. On paper the squad is good, but 1 or 2 injuries long term injuries and you don't have the depth of squad or finance to replace that person with like for like quality. And you go into games just having to accept you're weaker in that position for it.

Last season I would have said id expect Chester to be top 5. This season id say I expect you to be top 10. But tbf I'm usually well off. My current thinking is it will be:

  1. York
  2. AFC Fylde
  3. Boston
  4. Spennymoor
  5. Brackley
  6. Gateshead
  7. Darlington
  8. Farsley
  9. Chester
  10. Telford
  11. Guiseley
  12. Southport
  13. Gloucester
  14. Alfreton
  15. Kidderminster
  16. Curzon Ashton
  17. Chorley
  18. Leamington
  19. Kettering
  20. Hereford
  21. Bradford PA
  22. Blyth Spartans

We've signed Declan Weeks after a successful trial spell. Has always looked decent against before and it was a position we were light in so happy with that.

Great player on his day but basically spent the last year or 2 injured
