The correct decision has been made.

It may seem like a short, sharp crisis situation now, but this is nothing compared to what would have been the longer-term implications of 40+ clubs taking on £xxx, xxx in loans to conclude the season.

Not a good decision in terms of football. I'd dearly like the season to play on and have the escape from covid that football has been. The fault of that not being possible is squarely at the national leagues door. They mislead clubs into starting the season. Blaming and slating between clubs achieves nothing, its not any of these clubs fault. The blame is with the league and we need reform at league management level.

From a personal club perspective it was the only option for us. Losing money hand over fist and burdening the club with loan just wasn't an option.

See you all again to renew rivalries next season. May the best team win.

Is Sam Austin at Kidderminster any good? Asking for a friend.

If you want him you'll have pay, he's just signed a deal till 2023 yesterday.

But he's basically Milner, he signed as a winger but he's played: both full back positions, basically every place in the midfield before really shining in the 10 role

I still do not understand why the 6-12 sides in both leagues who wish to continue cannot play a small season between them for the one conf league spot vacated by Macclesfield

Has he ever played for Gloucester?

Guess we'll wait and see what comes of this proposed letter we've signed. But no he hasn't, he signed for us in 2016 from Burton and was on loan at Telford and Leamington before that.

This season gets more disturbing by the minute, today we beat Gateshead 4-1 in a friendly, not sure where it was played just result been released.
Why are Gateshead playing a friendly when they voted null and void and why the hell haven’t we furloughed the players.
Does this mean some clubs are going to carry on?

Our manager has released a lengthy statement today and it says ‘there are talks going on behind the scenes’ so hopefully something comes of it. If not we’ve been shafted twice. Last season was a piss take. Let the clubs carry on that want to and the ones that don’t can watch soccer Saturday. Every bodies happy

Just seen interview by Mark Ives, for what it’s worth we were shafted last season as well, top of league and kings lynn on a horrible run,Sure it would of been us or Boston.
Alty was by far beat team in league but too far behind but with play offs it was always going to be them.
Feel if season does go on you will win it easily, got 3 very good midfield players.

I don’t think we will but either way I think all the teams that want to carry on should be given the chance to

I see Southport have appointed that scouse 'businessman' & Stephen Vaughan associate, Tony Evans, to their board... jesus, some of the stories I could tell you about when he was running the show at County for a few months a decade ago, back when I worked at the club... maybe not on a public forum though.

Please feel free, I'm all ears.

As soon as I was made aware of the Vaughan link I was worried, anyone who has even so much a shaken his hand isn't to be trusted.

I shook his hand when he rescued our club from Mad Terry.

That was before the football family knew he was a bad 'un, and your club was in a bad place. As long as you've washed your hands since and repented for your sins I'll let you off.

After we got rid of the mad Yank who got us relegated out of the league it did seem we were being saved but alas that wasn’t the case.

Did you still have your watch afterwards
To be honest on the 2 occasions I met him he couldn't have been nicer. The first occasion (in the Blues bar) when I shook his hand he offered me a drink (I don't drink). The second time was at Brentford, when I couldn't find the coach and he offered me a lift home. I was told the bus was by a pub, but apparently there was a pub on every corner.

Crook or not that season when we won the Conference was absolutely amazing. 45 years of supporting Chester at that point and we'd never won a raffle.

But in hindsight you know he was no good , right? You sound unsure.

How many clubs did he ruin or almost ruin? Us, Chester, who else? Anyone even associated with him should be swerved.
