This should play out quite interestingly considering according to weather reports that hasn't been much rain up your way in the last day or so.

Mansfield just down the road from them is off too. It’s not rained loads the last day or so, but been ridiculously wet in the East Mids all week.

That's fair then. I just went off reports for the last day.

They need now to really think of an out the box idea.

unless having a chance of promotion the rest I doubt will bother playing the rest of season.........what benefit does a club have to continue with no income for a mid table or bottom half finish........think them clubs may now be looking for season over and player contracts null and void because income promised early on never arrived.

on other hand you have 6-7 have played half a season with a chance of promotion and find it very unfair they are denied their chance also (felt BPA) fully do not deserve at this level currently.

for me just make conf north this season a smaller league with them wanting to carry on. Adjust the points to suit current set-up and let them sides finish as they wish, others allowed to end season with no relegation.

This could work. It may leave those desperate to chase promotion with a long term debt from a loan if they choose to take it, but then it is at least 100% their club's choice and not forced upon them by others.

Jono suggested this idea of a mini league last week on Twitter even thou we wouldn’t be in it.

That's far too sensible for the NL.

The big positive for them sides wanting to continue is that even if the conf national gave up........there is one promotion slot there.......Macclesfield.

so I’d at present let the teams give up who dont want in. The play a smaller league both north and south with two possible situations.

If the national carries on you have 3 teams up, two down from conference, two title winners and a play-off between sides 2nd and 3rd from north and south.

if national ended you have two small leagues and the two winners have a play off for the one spot.

then 10-12 sides below national still always have one spot to play for regardless of what happens.

If clubs in NLN don't want to play on how can you still have promotion from a mini league as clubs in the NL might not want to play on and you then can't force relegation.

If the National league vote to carry on with the season they are voting for promotion and relegation you cant have one without the other surely.

I agree but what if the North vote to carry on but certain clubs can't afford to.

On the contrary, we do give a fuck for the fans. The fans who wouldn't have a team to watch in the future were they forced to take on a debt that they have no guarantee they could pay back. Not something moneybags York have to worry about or the dick from Stockport either. Let those who want to play on do so in their own mini League - i'd still expect to see you next season (though not in person obviously).

As I said there is at least one spot available because conference is currently 23 teams

if six-seven in north and six-seven in south want to carry in let them for either one promotion slot or three (if national carries on)

If you are going to replace Macclesfield with a team from North or South, how do you replace that team?

Darlo fans what are the odds of us playing on Saturday? Need to know if I should be getting my hopes up or not.

You should ask Darlo fans they have opinion on everything, even loads on our forum justifying why they aren’t playing.

We were well up for playing tonight. Unfortunately the York assistant manager turned up to be part of the pitch inspection and convinced the ref to call it off absolutely no idea why.

Didn’t word it right, meant about carrying on playing this season, why the hell Darlington fans have to justify this on our forum is beyond me.

Never seen so many fans rattled by a game being postponed because of a frozen pitch due to the snow ffs.

We've never once stated we would refuse to play any games, we've said what resolutions we want from the league - But we are still willing to play.

We had the same the Fylde manager came along to witness the pitch inspection at midday this never used to happen do they think that we and the Referee are colluding to get the game called off, I find this very bizarre.

I can't speak for the weather. But up to now we have not refused to play any games, we have not (so far) put our name to any of the statements which say we will not fulfill fixtures. So if it makes it past the weather my thought is that it will be on, as we'll be playing up to the result of the vote (if it is null and void).
