Glad we don’t have to play CJ Hamilton in the league again this season as he was causing our second half defence all kinds of trouble.

Rodney looked really promising. Scott Brown was as good as ever and credit to Dan Trickett-Smith, he seemed really eager to impress and it was his work pressing that created our goal so that should please Askey.

He was decent against us now and again but looked poor last season each time. That said he missed three glorious chances today 1 on 1!

Amoo should of buried his chance too.

Visser looked good but second half once we rang the changes Blackpool looked comfortable, Mills was rusty putting it politely! Better to get the errors out the way now! Hope we get a stream Tuesday.

Kit looks good on the players IMO

Mk Dons 2 - Camb Utd 2. Dallas and Knibbs with the goals.

I think we're in for a good season, based on the result of this one match of course.

We beat another league 2 side today. Best Walsall 2-0. They didn’t look great in all honestly, Adebayo probably looked the brightest and most useful.

We have had a habit in recent seasons of conceding early goals but we outdid ourselves today by conceding in the 2nd minute and the 1st minute of the second half in crashing to a 2-1 defeat at Rovers

We apparently beat Macclesfield 3-1 today, with goals from Vaughan, Ferrier and Walker-Rice.

However, this may not be true as it easier to get information out of North Korea than find out about our friendlies.

Friendlies dont mean alot really but I thought we looked poor today. Slow at the back gave away 2 very poor goals and if it wasnt for visser or brown in goal we could have conceded 5 or 6. We looked toothless upfront and playing 1 upfront leaves that player too isolated on there own. Rodney would be good with a strike partner. Pope looks finished as a player can barely run now and his penalty was a lazy effort.

Hopefully we sign a proven goalscorer and sort these errors out that cost us goals today. Based on the way we play if we win it will only be narrow wins we wont be putting 4 or 5 past teams.

First time we’d played in nearly six months. All about fitness and our changes weakened us whereas Blackpool had the likes of Madine, Hamilton etc thrown on so wouldn’t read much into yet....

we do need another striker and sure we will get on though although if we win narrow all season and go up I guess that would do!

Always remember us rinsing Man United and Sheff Weds that season and going down around 2008?! Looked mint in the friendlies and were terrible all season.

Think the fringe players who’d been on loan like Hurst and Trickett-Smith aren’t quite up to it though, may be cut from the squad list or whatever it is. How many more over 21s we allowed? As need a hit man and a keeper still!

We can only sign 2 players over 21 so they will be visser and Fitzpatrick I reckon. I can see us signing Bradbury or the forest lad as the striker as they are cheap.

3-1 win against Evesham today, with their goal coming from one of our youth players. We played two teams effectively with Duff making 10 substitutions after 60 mins. One trialist, Max Harris in goal who played 90 mins. He didn't have much to do after their goal.

Stratford Town on Tuesday.

Aren’t we meant to be in for a decent striker from L1?

We’ve had a super secret game today (oppositions call to keep it under wraps), so called Twitter ITK’s saying we’ve either won 3-2 at Wigan or lost by the same score at Rovrum, so God knows. We play at Huddersfield midweek.

Doubtful seeing as we only have one player on the books and no manager or coaching staff

So a team masquerading as Macclesfield turned up and played a friendly v Tranmere today? Sounds dodgy as fuck.

An investigation needs to be launched asap.

I know they’re only preseason friendlies, but how great is it to be talking about football matches again. Long may it continue.

No he wasn’t in the squad. I assume he wasn’t involved due to only being with the group for a day. Should be involved in our game next week.

that one player had a great game if you did play - and Tranmere are in trouble if 11 v 1 they only won 3-1!

Crawley's manager, John Yems, almost said we had some more friendlies coming up but he managed to stop himself before giving any information out.

Why are clubs behaving like a cross between the NKVD and the Stassi with information about friendlies? If we are told its behind closed doors no one would turn up and as most of us don't go to friendlies anyway it seems a bit OTT.

looks like Neil Danns is on trial with us.

I’m sure Tranmere fans can attest to his ability now but when he was at Bolton in the Chanpionship he certainly wasn’t the worst player we had, tidy enough on the ball, so reckon he could still do a job in League 2.

Although I’ve just looked and seen he’s 37! Didn’t realise he was that old, but I suppose if he feels fit enough he could still contribute.

Yes decent enough for us last season.

We havent got the money to sign the striker we need.

From reading the lines Askey was suggesting we are sitting it out as wage demands will drop nearer the season with many players who’d normally get clubs potentially not this year due to Covid and the cap in place.

It would appear to be Rotherham (a) who we played on Saturday - lost 3-2 - Clayton Donaldson and Callum Cooke being the scorers.

We've got a game at Melksham tonight, according to them anyway. The bar at the ground will be open, but you wont be allowed to go outside and watch the football.

Our club media team have decided to give games minimal coverage and not reveal kick off times as they seem to think our fans might turn up in large numbers and try and force our way into the grounds or something.

We have Bradford as our last pre season game 1st round carabao cup......Evatt will play his strongest team
The fact it is a cup game and not a run of the mill pre season game is ideal for both teams
