It still happens, same fox from 1912 that used to be walked around the pitch on a lead... not sure when it died but according to the club website it was stuffed and soon after they started placing it on the centre circle. Its name of Olga is actually after the daughter of the guy who donated it rather than an anagram of 'goal' as is commonly believed (including by myself until today).
Lucky Hereford didn't follow your lead, think they used to parade a bull before home games...unless you could stuff one and have it on some sort of a trolley!

I tried to stuff a bull once but it got me kicked out of Pamplona.

I like it. Not something I'd buy, cos I never do, but it at least is a bit different. Not sure it goes with the shorts too well though.

We've had a few kits over the years where the blue on the shirts doesn't match the blue on the shorts.

Why would I post our new kits in the 2020/21 new kits thread, and why would I look all the way back to March to see if someone had already posted a 2021/22 thread?

You're not disagreeing with me about Carlisle being a massive club then? Cheers Shoddy

Anyway, let's talk about your new kits. I like the home strip, it's smart, but I'm not that keen on the black one. But that white goalie kit is a thing of beauty and IMO it should've been your away kit. It feels like a throwback to 1970 and that can never be a bad thing in my book.

Any indication what colour the away kit is gonna be? It should be luminous green as a tribute to "all the toxic waste".

That Cambridge kit looks like the geometric camouflage they used to paint on battleships. Is their SS Piss the League going incognito?

Our kit designs were released at the end of last season.

What would you go for if you were allowed to design and vote for your kit like we were.

Black and White stripes every time. Same for a lot of people I know, although some have got used to the green. I suppose at least we don’t get confused with Juventus anymore these days.

Thats important. You wouldn't want Ronaldo turning up once a month demanding his wages.

FAO the Port Vale fans -

I know I gave you a lot of stick over last seasons home shirt but it's your turn now to have a good laugh at our expense. Fair's fair.

That is truly horrible. Can I have a pint of whatever the person who designed that was drinking at the time? Actually scrap that. He undoubtedly injected himself with something illegal to come up with that .

Nice to see that Carlisle, like yourselves, have gone down the retro route. I remember them playing in home kits like that for years back in the day including their one season in the top flight.

Think its based on the Ghana away kit.

I couldn't agree more but every club is at it in some way or another next time i'll be sure to crop anything like that out of the picture to protect your eyes!

Nothing too spectacular. Blue home kit, choice of away kits depending on what colours the opposition wear. Simple, except for being in the same Division as Bristol Rovers, who always turn up at ours with the wrong kit and force a last minute scramble around (out of doziness, rather than malice).

Another shitty tinpot marketing catchphrase, too

That's exactly how tinpot football marketing should be. Well done Rochdale.

Its totally not against Mansfield. It's all clubs that do it. Morecambe's was awful also.

did you see our video release?

it's cheesy as fuck but at least it was well done, and like other vale fans have said, previously we released our shirts with just a picture of them draped on a desk in smurthwaites office, thats when we actually had a kit to start the season with of course.

i sent the vid onto a stoke fan mate (one of the better ones who hates them since they went into the prem) he really didn't like the golden line.

Reading this thread has just reminded me of the Hummel debacle, where they failed to deliver our kits in time for the start of the season and the club had to buy some from a sports shop in Stroud...which the players wore, not continuously obviously, until Player Layer came up with the goods. That said the make-do shirts were a lovely shade of blue...when the alternative was starting the season at Cleethorpes in skins I think everyone was happy.
