Great win for us at Peterborough and then our chairman releases this garbage statement. As I said this club has been run shambolically for months now.

Maybe the fans have stayed away because of your anti-football tactics. I can't think of a worse game of time-wasting that I witnessed this season at the Deva Stadium against Gloucester City in 63 years of following Chester FC.

Strange game today we should have been 6 up after 50 minutes but ended up hanging on for 20 minutes in the second half, King Kurt put the game to bed late with a spectacular free kick to complete a deserved victory.

Referee was a typical dipstick that we've come to expect at this level. Liam Edwards was knocked unconscious and lay there for quite a while before he stopped the game. He received attention from the medics and was stretchered off and presumably underwent the neck injury protocol. Amazingly he then awarded a free-kick to Banbury. Eleven minutes added. Fair doos to Banbury they never parked the bus like so many teams have this season and they gave us a scare in the 2nd half.

What was the freekick for? Some were saying it was because Weeks picked the ball up to stop the game so the medics could rush on to Edwards because the ref hadn't stopped the game. So handball. If that's true he should never ref a game again.

Banbury got off lightly only conceding four, we could and should have scored a fair few more. Couldn't defend to save their lives. Not bad going forward though to be fair.

Chuffed with that win.

Congrats on your 3 points tonight Chester, we've failed to score in the last 417 minutes.l and football is atrocious. Russ Penn wants us to control games and not play Basketball football but that results in us passing the ball forward to the edge of the box slowly, allowing the opposition to get men behind the ball, fail to find an opening and end up back with our keeper. We'll have our first shot on target from distance in the 90th minute.

Penn hasn't got a clue how to change it and it shows how much he was carried by Hemmings, Omari Sterling and Sam Austin last season.

We used to play near total possession based football which works great away from home but like you we struggled at home because teams just sat back deep and we couldn’t pass through them because of lack of space, now we tend to mix it up a bit which is not about hoofball as we don’t play with a target man. when we go long we tend to play the ball out wide over the fullback and apply a press so if we don’t get the ball first time we have a good chance of winning the second ball, hope for a good game tonight and a home win would be nice.

The top two still have games in hand on us but we've eaten in to their advantage a bit tonight with them both dropping points.

Tough game that, always was going to be with Kiddy's away record. Thomas continuing his excellent form since breaking in to the team to get us in front and then Caton put through to finish it off.

Kiddy did quite well, neat and tidy but nothing up front. Better after going down to ten men.

We were the most dominant I've seen this season, 29 shots on goal.

The rest of the season is going to be tasty from our point of view. 5 home 5 away, 3 points off top but played 1 or 2 more that AFC and KL, who are both having a wobble. Leamington will be difficult. Don't think we've ever even scored there with their foot high grass. Hearing it might be a victim of the weather.

Southport 2-1 Blyth

Another game in which we were slow out of the blocks, but luckily for us Blyth were wasteful with their chances. We had some chances ourselves but couldn't take advantage either. There was a 15 second period of play where we had one cleared off the line, followed by us hitting the post, followed by Blyth going on a rapid counter attack only to hit the post themselves.

Second half we went at them. Ball often on the deck, pressing high in midfield and causing them problems. The great irony was in this period of some of the best football I've seen us play this season, we scores twice from set pieces! One from a long throw which Chris Doyle controlled and lashed in on the turn, and another from Tyler Walton where he was slipped through whist Blyth's defence waited for the expected ball lumped into the box. They started to get back into the game, and got a penalty for not much at all late on, but we held our to hopefully stop the rot and the drop down the table.

We've got a lot of home games coming up now (8 home compared to 4 away for the rest of this season). Hopefully we can get enough points to keep clear of the relegation battle. It's a sad end to the season considering we were in play-off contention not that long ago.

Interesting at Brackley - 17 games under Johnson without defeat, now 4 losses in 8, team playing poorly. Can`t find the back of the net without huge effort, and now beginning to leak goals. Collectors pieces last night, Gaz Dean and Danny Lewis errors. Four strikers on board now, still can`t buy a goal even if they all play at once!

Title almost certainly gone, and while playoffs seem highly probable, not automatic unless they find the way to goal. Big test for Johnson in his first job. Team look like he scares them to death (a la Gerrard at Villa perhaps?). Maybe he can lead them through what Wilkin never could - those damned playoffs....

Far from our best tonight but the Chester juggernaut keeps rolling on.

Surely must have a great opportunity of winning this league?

I think Fylde and King's Lynn are doing their utmost of trying to throw the towel in.

They somehow don't seem to want it?

Title has an opening. It's there for the taking.
Thanks ~ I think our away form is as good as when we won this league 10 years ago, but our home form has been distinctly average until the Spennymoor defeat. After that game we played with a bit more adventure and width and the wins have come.

Huge blow for us losing Mo Faal. The best striker for us since Danny Rowe. I was really confident of winning the league with him playing. Not so sure now. We have wobbled of late. Should have won at Buxton though and the home game against Kings Lynn. Had more than enough chances. Certainly makes for an interesting end to the season. Darlington at home today is a tough game.
Chester have been in fine form but are due a few bad results imo. Think to catch us they’d have to be pretty perfect from now till the end of the season

He changed the game in your favour when he came on at Meadow Park, definitely a class above

Huge win for us at Scarborough. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Dom McHale is different gravy. His opening goal was just sheer class. We had a touch of fortune with the second, deflected free kick went in but we really should have grabbed a third before we did in injury time. Steven King is working wonders

Chester fans, Rhys Hughes seems to have fallen out of favour with your management recently. Any clues on what’s going wrong, or is it more experience becoming available? Due to injuries we couldn’t name a full bench yesterday so wonder if he’ll be heading back this way.

I think it's simply a straight shootout for that spot in midfield with Murray, as Weeks & Roberts are guaranteed starters. Murray's just had a good few games but we've been playing every Saturday/Tuesday for a while so we've been rotating them. He's been doing well.

Very strange game, I think the best team won overall, but wow we did our best to make sure you got all three points with a shocking defensive display. It was absolutely awful!

Our defence has been like that for weeks on end just leaking goals left right and centre, entertaining game but second half we just couldn't muster anything. An in form Darlington would have really tested Fylde!

At the business end you guys had Haughton and we needed Lambert.
