Exactly that, he's changing the forwards about too much and Dennis who is our top scorer by a mile should be guaranteed a start. I think it should be him and Edmondson starting up front but definitely Dennis for the goals.

I don't care who we're playing now, we have to go out there ATTACK score goals AND fucking beat these c*nts!
No more fannying around scared of playing L2 teams ffs.

And no more sad 'down in the dumps' pissing their pants at the prospect of going up fans like hellogregory, spreading negative vibes.

We should definitely makes the play offs hellogregory you fucking over the top pessimistic twat!

You do realise that in the last 4 games that Kristian Dennis has started, Carlisle United have scored a grant total of ZERO goals. And his all round game has been that bad that we've barely had a shot on goal in those 4 games.

Yes Garner and Patrick were poor on Saturday, but they were the 2 who started when we put 5 past Barrow and then when we put 5 past Crawley more recently.

Fact is Dennis hasn't been playing well when he's started over the past couple of months, and the whole team suffers when a below par Dennis starts.

And I know I live rent free in your head (thanks for that btw!), but I haven’t said we definitely won’t make the playoffs, I’ve only said we definitely won’t finish top 3. All I’ve said is I don’t think we’ll make the playoffs, there’s a difference. And the reason I don’t think we will is largely down to our tough run of fixtures. we’ve proved this season that we don’t get many points from these types of games.

we're signing free agents from Canada and far-flung corners of the world such as Wimbledon to deal with this crisis...

The last two games that Garner and Patrick started we scored zero goals. Any stat can be twisted to fit a narrative. The main stat to be concerned with is the 17 league goals scored by Dennis.

The reason Dennis was scoring regularly earlier in the season was because he was playing regularly. Due to his sciatica he's unable to fully train. Any player that isn't playing regularly and isn't taking part in full training is going to struggle.

He's the only player in our squad who has had recent goalscoring success. Patrick and Edmondson have never hit double figures in a league season, and Garner has only done it once in England since 2015.

I know who l'd trust to get us the goals.

2 games with zero goals is better than 4, don’t you think?

Our two best attacking performances of the season have come with Garner and Patrick as the front 2. In fact up until the Stevenage game we’d won all 5 games that Garner and Patrick had started together. Yeah they weren’t scoring every game, but we were picking up 3 points and they were playing well. It might have been 8 wins in a row, had they not been inexplicably dropped after that Barrow win to fit Dennis back in for the Harrogate game and the two games that followed. I strongly disagree that the main stat to concern is Dennis’ 17 goals , I look at who has been contributing more to the team overall when they play, and it certainly hasn’t been Dennis recently.

I’m not writing Dennis off by the way, I just don’t buy this clamour that of a sudden for Dennis is the answer and Garner/Patrick aren’t.

Fair enough if that's the way you see it.

None of our forwards are currently delivering. No matter what the combination there needs to be an element of consistency. Pick two and stick with them, using the other three depending on game circumstance.

I would go Dennis / Edmondson. However with that combination I'd have to go with Gibson.

Tough on McCalmont but he's shown he'd be capable of stepping in for Moxon or Guy if required, or he'd come on for Gibson if protecting a lead.

averaged a point a game in the last 4 games.....

Wasn’t three of them at home? Now compare our home form against our away and come back to me when you have a true calculation.

Thanks.

What a crap fight for promotion this season has been, anyone who goes up will come falling right back down.
Just shows how poor it is when your main challengers are Stevenage and Northampton ffs, talk about the most anti football, fucking tinpot lower league teams imaginable.

Next season will be more fun at least when we're fighting it out against Hollywood Wrexham, Notts County and a better Bradford.
