Stockport County.
Correct. It was confirmed last season by the Chesterfield and Wrexham fans that Stockport play Dover at home every single week.
Funnily enough, Dover at home ended up being one of our toughest games during that mad run we went on. 1-0 win 86th minute or something and they had a man sent off after about half an hour.

Absolute oddball team. Their match at Wrexham was bonkers.

Im a bit concerned at having to play 2 games in 3 days over the coming weekend. I know all the sides do but we are really stretched to the limit at the moment, the lack of options off the bench was clearly felt on Saturday against Stevenage. Hoping for a win against Newport and then a home draw against Gillingham as the tired bodies are more obviously noticed.
Playing Friday / Monday is just same as playing Saturday/ Tuesday isn’t it?

Glad I'm not the only one baffled by this mad/mental/manic Easter period shit that gets peddled out by managers, media etc. It's just Saturday-Tuesday but a few hours shorter. I think it's cos most are off work so it feels shorter and more congested to everyone.

I think they are still thinking that we play three games like we used to.
I remember teams playing Good Friday, Saturday and Easter Monday or Saturday, Easter Monday and Tuesday.

Just a shame we couldn’t collect more than the 5 points from the run of home games against grimsby sutton and crawley, whereas we didn’t lose to any of them (which was half expected anyway) converting just 1 of the draws into a win….

Anyway, swindon away rochdale home grimsby away next 3 for us. We’ve been in an out of the playoffs since christmas so like bradford stockport and salford just kinda looks like it depends on how the table falls on the final day.

Be thankful if we could hit a barn door it would be just the 4.

It is indeed, its not the days thats the concern, just the quick turnaround. With the numbers we have out at the moment one game a week at least mitigates the issues slightly. Most likely we will start the same XI because of the injuries which is not ideal.

That’s the issue, those are the games we should be winning and putting to bed, not holding on for a draw.

Our home form has been what’s held us back, but in fairness 5 wasn’t too bad with the injuries/suspensions we’ve had.

think everyone’s running on empty now tbh.

I’m concerned with the number of games we’ve got in such a short space of time but guess we’re all pretty much in the same boat.

At least if we get into the playoffs he can’t play hawkins  :ffs:

I've always been looking at that gap between ourselves and 7th, I have never realised how tight it is between 2nd and 7th, still six sides there with a good shout of the autos with some winning consistency.

Could well be one of those seasons where an automatically promoted side hasn't been in the top 3 all season, and snatches one at the death.

We look shot. McGowan Odimayo and Sowerby off injured today, and a few obviously carrying knocks. The finish line can’t come quick enough, hope we can pick up enough points to scrape over the line but I fear with everything going on the playoffs await. Huge game coming up next weekend with Carlisle, need to pick up 3 points on Monday but think we’re running out of gas.

To be 2nd is remarkable in the circumstances.

That's our auto hopes done. Fancy Stockport to grab a top 3 spot. I'll be pleased if we finish top 7.

As expected it's done, but to be in this thread rather than the relegation one until 40 games is pleasing. Eyes on that coveted mid table cup.

Despite barely putting in an above average performance we’ve lost only 1 of our last 14.

I really don’t think we’re in with an autos chance playing like we are but it was a big win for our play-off hopes today.

We’ve turned a bit of a corner now Clough has ditched the wing backs. Fancy us to go on a run with players returning. Hopefully Oates and Clarke are alright! Quinn is pivotal for us, if he’s on it, we win.

As i mentioned a few weeks ago it’s between the top 8, who clearly don’t all fit into a top 3 or a top 7.

I also said a good few months ago that stockport will finish top 3, i still think they’ll do it.

We’ve now rochdale (h) grimsby (a) newport (a) then harrogate (h) which “on paper” look favourable to some of the run ins others have got, but of course it’s never that easy.

Top 3 is out of range - though had we won 1 of the 2 0-0s at home recently it might have been different.

We're not playing well still, just grinding out wins and draws but if we can more or less do that to a maybe 4 wins 2 draw ratio last 6 that could be us up. Crazy really. Still not sold on us for automatic's or play off spot.

Down to the top 8 now. Barrow and Sutton fell today.

Monday’s match at Walsall is vitally important. It has to be 3 points if we are to finish top 7.

After Monday, the final 5 games are all tough, some tougher than others. We’ll be lucky to get 3 or 4 points from the final 5 games so we simply have to win at Walsall. Hopefully we do.

We're top over the last five despite only scoring five. Everyone's stumbling to the finish line like it's the Olympics for drunks

I think a lot of the teams at the bottom who were dire for the first half of the season have all improved as the campaign has gone on via recruitment, manager changes or injuries clearing up and it’s leading to loads of tight games and unexpected results.

Think your right if Carlisle could win Monday and pretty much secure top 7 I think a lot of pressure goes off ourselves, little bit sake for Stevenage.

Not much expectation on either to be promoted this season, even a play off chance is a big plus.

If we could win Monday, make sure top 7 is done the. Go into them huge home games with a little less pressure, a home crowd ramped up…….may make the difference.

Do think if they beat Northampton and Stockport home they will get top 3, but all season they have failed in them games, but win Monday and can see 10000+ crowds for them games and this team has been running off hype, buzz and adrenaline since Simpson arrived 12 months ago.
