We’ve got Stevenage at home next Tuesday - hopefully we can do some of you lot a favour.
trust me, you'd be going on about it if it was this bad... Currently:
Maxted
McGowan (1st choice rb) - 2/3rds of season out
Lintott (2nd rb)
Magloire (1st cb) - 2/3rds season out
Guthrie (1st cb and captain)
Odimayo (cover across back) - 2/3rds of season out
Koiki (1st lb) - 1/2 season out
Sowerby (1st cdm) - shouldn't have played in the last month and tore his hamstring last night because of it.
Fox (key cm) - 1/2 season out
Harrop
Eppiah (game changer) - pretty much all season out
Dyche
Sherring
McWilliams
Pinnock
...all wouldn't normally be playing but going through pain barrier risking injury ala Sowerby.
Also over season:
Key player Bowie missed 3 months.
First choice GK Burge missed 2 months.
CB Sherring missed 2 months.
LWB Haynes missed 3 months.
CM McWilliams missed 2 months.
Hoskins missed 1 month. top scorer now playing rb.
Hylton missed 3 months. (just coming back playing the odd 10 mins)
We are all amazed how we are still grinding out wins despite our patchwork defence. Brady really is excellent when creating a siege mentality. it's also testiment to the squad assembled even if we did take a few risks with injury proned players.
One thing I am worried about next season regardless of division, is alot of these are so bad it could have a knock on effect. McGowan in particular played the end of last season injured and it contributed to him missing most of this as well.
Yes, if we win and you win on Saturday we win the league meaning Tuesdays game will be a dead rubber for us.Fair play to Northampton, difference between them and us is we were toss before January. Had we sorted the defence out in the Summer even with the injuries we've had I think we'd be top 3 now but it is what it is.
4 huge games left, the next 3 all at home v Stevenage, Orient and Harrogate. 7 points and it'll make the final day an interesting one I reckon.
Can Orient wrap the title up Saturday with a win and us getting anything against Stevenage? Hope that's the case then they can come here next Tues after a few nights celebrating
I've made it clear I don't think we'll finish top 7, but even if we do, we'll have the same old problem we've had all season... not good enough against the top sides. I want to be there, it will cap off a brilliant season, but we'd be like Jack Dawson at the rich table in the Titanic 1st Class lounge. Pleased to be there but not living on the same planet as these boys.
Of the current top 8 (I include 8th because they could well make it), we've won 2 games against these teams all season. (Salford and Bradford). We've taken 11 points out of a possible 39. That says it all.
You’d expect 7 points from the next 3 would put us as firm favourites to make the playoffs going into the last game!Fair play to Northampton, difference between them and us is we were toss before January. You wrote the season off completely after the Orient defeat. Even I didn't do that. So who is the cynical bellend?Yes you've made it clear many times now how much of a cynical bellend you are. Always putting us down.
We're now apparently not on the same planet as the likes of Bradford and Salford who we've beaten this season thrashing Salford.
Oh and we're above both of them in the league too.

If that happens, I vote all 6 just get the promotion, and 7 will have to come down from League One. It's tough on those that would have ordinarily survived, but who are we to argue with fate...Imagine if 2nd-7th all finish on 81pts.
They should have some kind of play-off to decide who goes up.Imagine if 2nd-7th all finish on 81pts.
A vital win for us. A defeat would have left our playoff hopes crippled needing to win 2 remaining games. Still have my doubts that we’ll make it, but we have a chance. A draw should do it against Salford. Hope we do it then worry about how we beat the top sides if/when it comes to that.
Should be no issues beating us next week.
Not having stevenage win anything on our watch, fuck off.
Had we not been completely riddled with injuries (northampton’s was a walk in the park in comparison) this could’ve been a completely different season, and we’ve still chance.
We’ve moved on to 9 unbeaten and hopefully we can keep it running.
Well, we’re on the lash now so should be there for the taking. CHAAAAAAAMPIOOOOONES!
Wellens need to remember that Salford sacked him and gifting us a victory on the last day could leave them in 8th, play the kids.Well, we’re on the lash now so should be there for the taking. CHAAAAAAAMPIOOOOONES!

They should be trying extra hard Tuesday, first game as new championsYeah, that’s what we’re asking for on tuesday.
