Orient have been complaining about injuries for a bit too but tbh they’re almost as good as up.

Complaining? Not really. Had a bit of a rash of them (and suspensions) over Christmas. We’re too good to worry about them too much. Starting CB, LB, CM, AM & top scorer all out at the moment. Still keeping clean sheets. Still winning.

Stockport County.
I hope you’re right, i said last season we wouldn’t go up when we were in the top 3 and a few points clear of 4th

My reasoning is that
1) our injuries are really pretty horrific currently
2) we’ve got a crazy run in
3) even if the other 2 don’t happen were mansfield and will fuck it up when it matters.
4) the top 3 will be orient/stevenage plus salford or stockport
We've got injuries. Best CB been out since Christmas, most creative midfielder out, best striker and captain now out for 3-4 weeks, best RWB out for the rest of the season. I'd take play-offs 100%.

Maybe complaining was the wrong word, I’ll give you that.

We’ve yet to play Bradford and Stockport (which I forgot earlier), so my view of Mansfield being nailed on for promotion might change

If we can stick in the play offs and be 5/6 points within 3rd after our next 6 games (Tranny A, Salford H, Wimbledon A, Orient H, Northampton A, Stockport A) then I'd say we've got as good a chance as ever. But that's a very tough run of fixtures and despite 2 really good performances I just feel like our injures will catch up with us eventually, but we've had good news back on Johnson so hopefully him and Macca, our first choice full backs will be back in 3/4 games.

If we can get through that run though, we'd only play Stevenage and maybe Swindon if they sort their shit out who are likely to be in the top 7 for the remainder of the season so it's a kind run in on paper.

I do think we've had a very good window. If we can remain solid at the back we'll always score goals.

With Northampton’s current woes I reckon you’ve got a great shot at third. They’re incredibly organised but completely over-reliant on Sam Hoskins scoring. Be a shame if you did come up instead because they’re always a walking relegation-in-waiting from League One and we could do with them filling a spot. Mansfield definitely one of the 3 most talented teams for me, though.

Not happening, all bluster.

stockport of salford for 3rd.

If we finish in the playoffs we may as well not bother as we just fuck them up

Unusual given how many of them there were

We are really struggling to break teams down at home at the moment, we are creating so little. Last season we were so effective from set pieces so it didnt really matter as we would scrape a 1-0 win somehow, not happening this year.

Hoskins goals have dried up also. He was scoring from all angles earlier this season but seems to have bought into his own hype now, playing in narrower positions and shooting on sight which means his overall game is far less effective.

I would rather have this wobble now than the end of the season but I am not convinced we have the fire power to see us claim 3rd. Still, we remain in and around the auto spot so it is definitely still doable.

Did you accidentally shake hands with hellogregory on Tuesday?

Ok, so a little more sober (might have had a few heinekens watching the arsenal city game last night knowing i was WFH today).

Well, i did predict we’d finish above you and stevenage, so maybe i might be wrong here also haha.

I personally just think with the tough run we’ve got plus the injuries we’ve had it’ll just be too much and someone like stockport or a northampton will beat us to it.

If we’re still 5 or less points to 3rd after tranmere away, salford home, wimbledon away, orient home and then away games at northampton and stockport i’ll reconsider but if anything we’d fall out of the playoffs than close ground.

Tbh the only ones writing carlisle off seem to be your fans.

Though in fairness a 1-0 win over colchester isn’t something that’s going to set sirens off elsewhere.

There's just one fan here who continually writes us off and he only does it out of some pathetic attempt to not tempt fate.

As for Colchester well, they had won their last FIVE away games! DID YOU NOT KNOW THIS ADAMSTAG?!

Our victory today was a statement that we're not done, not in the slightest..

Oh I know that, but I'm talking about the automatic promotion places which we're in and absolutely going for and yet there are people on here saying it's now just between you and Stockport, well neither of you have even been in the automatics this season, therefore there's obviously teams above that are BETTER than you so don't get carried away.

Apparently so, but i don’t pay attention to what sides are doing down there haha.

It’ll be close either way!

Maybe you should know how they’re doing before commenting on them, then.

Not really, carlisle beat them, which backed up my point, as did we.

Cheers for your input though :)

A lot of talk about Mansfield on here but I can honestly say that against us this season I’ve seen nothing from them to suggest that they are any good.*

*We haven’t played them yet.

Salford won't go up automatically they're basically shite and only hanging on in the because everyone else is also shite.

Well from what I know about them is that we should have hammered them down at their place and that they failed to beat the likes of Hartlepool at home.
Mansfield did beat us 4-0 up here but it was a massive fluke where everything they hit went in and everything we hit didn't go in, just one of those games.

You had kristian dennis upfront, that’s why you didn’t score any of the chances!
