I think Carlisle were very fortunate we took it easy in the second half.
I don’t know why anyone replies to carver and his clear and obvious windups

I usually ignore it but last time he threw a tantrum and I found that enjoyable.

A lot of talk about Mansfield on here but I can honestly say that against us this season I’ve seen nothing from them to suggest that they are any good.*

*We haven’t played them yet.
If we can keep getting the away game postponed we could play them twice in mid/ late April and decide their season.

If you can repeat last weekend's antics against them twice that would be cushty.

Despite being above then more or less every time we play grimsby it’s always a tough game.

Always decent followings to each other too, one of those games that isn’t a derby but counts as a half of one

I'd say the current top 6 are the true best teams in the league.

No team outside of that are good enough.

Nice to browse the fixtures and see that Orient haven’t got a midweek game until the 18th of April. Going to be a real slog for everyone else whilst we’ve got our pipe and slippers out.

I know you’ve gone finishing, but if we win our 2 games in hand, it puts us 4th/5th. Would you still stand by that statement?

Carlisle have a very hard fixture list and looks like the wheels are already falling off at Carlisle. I think us and Mansfield will nick the last two spots off them and Stevenage.

There's a long way to go of course but I'd Kevin Keegan style love it if we took Stevenage out the top 3 and replaced them when we play in April

I would.

It amazes you could potentially be that high based off the two games we’ve played against you and amount of times on here from the Bradford fans that you seem to have put in similar performances.

Famous last words but I’d much rather face you guys in playoff semi final than anybody else in the top 8.

We’ve spent most of the season in the top five. The bad weather came and our games against Walsall and Gillingham were postponed due to their cup success. Since then, we’ve lost all momentum, churning out some piss poor performances.

We weren’t pulling up any trees when we were in the playoffs, but there, we were.

Of our remaining games, 9 of them are away. Our away form is very good - it’s our form at Valley Parade that has let us down.

That being said, we’ve still games in hand with a favourable run of fixtures. Put it this way, if we finished outside of the play-offs, I’d be very surprised.

All ifs, but that's unlikely because you were one of the worst teams we've played this season and I feel that we would beat you 9 times out of 10 all season.
You may be the biggest club in the league yes, but you're poorly run and all your managers recently have been shite especially the dinosaur you have now.

There's not one player in your team I'd have in ours, maybe Cook as a 3rd choice striker but that's all.

Conversely that very hard run of fixtures gives us the opportunity to deny our promotion rivals points.

If you're good enough to finish in the top three then it doesn't matter who you have to play during the final third of the season because by definition you'd be better than the majority of teams.

Then on the flip side if the run in does catch you out then that's evidence that you were never good enough for promotion.

Worrying about the difficulty of a run in is essentially a waste of energy.

I've seen many a team take their eye off the ball due to thinking they've got it easy and the opposite where a tough run of fixtures keeps the mind focused.

The only thing that will tell the truth is the table after 46 games.

I do think Mark Hughes is a bit of a moody dinosaur to be fair.

What's going wrong at the Sixfields then?

I think its a combination of factors really. We dont really have an identity anymore in how we play. Last season we were defensively solid and amazing from set pieces. The loss of Horsfall has meant we are not as defensively solid as last season at all, hes been a huge loss.

Up top we have a team that likes to press, but a lot of teams are negating that by going more direct and as such we end up just getting bullied a little.

We also have a starting striker in Appere who runs a lot, but literally does not compete for anything, meaning we loft the ball up to him and without question its coming back. We are just not creating a lot of chances and desperately need to scrape a win from somewhere to get some momentum back. We have around 8 out injured atm which is not helping but its not an excuse, everyone has injuries.

We need to be braver on the ball and stop playing to our weaknesses and a few players just need to find some form again. Still, id rather have a wobble now and better end to the season. That being said, we have the second youngest team in the league behind Crewe so experience is not exactly on our side to carry us through the tricky times. Think we will end up around 5th or so.

Is he still stinking out the L1 forum?
Just imagine getting promoted to League 1 and then realising that you have to share a forum with Devon Lad, Masi, and that freak Derby fan.
