Think we’ve got a problem and there’s a bit of a formula to beat us.

Let us have the ball and make the play. We want to play in a bit of a broken game where we can win the ball high and create fast sharp counters off it. Sitting in and saying come and break us down flips that script on us.

We dont have the quality to break teams down in a game where we are forced to make the running. Happened against Newport in the week and happened again today especially first half where I think PNE entered our half maybe twice and scored once with a decent delivery from Brady and had a shot on target with the other. We can only dream of such efficiency at the moment. Yeah we had the odd flash second half but did I believe PNE were ever really in danger or that we would score? Absolutely not really.

Get the fuck in, you need to put in a shithousing performance like that half a dozen times a season if you want to be at the right end of the table. Excellent fitness levels under Lowe.

3 clean sheets in a row.

Great away performance. The formula to get at us is set. Ref took too long to get control, but thats not unusual and not PNE fault either. Lindasy outstanding and Parrot caused problems. Everything TFCH said saves me typing.........ohhh.....Bell :-/

Yeah Bell did have a genuine shocker today unfortunately. At fault for the goal as he switched off, still a great ball and finish though, and then his attacking play was pretty poor. Morris also had a proper stinker, his second touch seems to be a tackle.

Def true and makes the diff from lower mid to upper and challenge the Play Offs as we did last year. Need to ride your luck but you make that too and played us well while we arent clicking yet. We will tho.

Told you Storey weren't bad
He's still a donkey but he's currently part of a solid unit, helped by a top keeper in Woodman behind him.

Woodman looked excellent against us, is he permanent for you?

Bristol City have a shocking defence and no creativity, just couldn't somehow get that elusive winner that the performance deserved. Think after their points deduction for FFP breaking, they will be one of the 3 relegated. Our defence looks very good, just need to click fully going forward but young Aasgaard coming off the bench was quality today. Hopefully the new signings coming in attacking wise will help.

What FFP deduction?

They've absolutely smashed FFP, done it in style to be fair, 38m in one season alone, nearly did the full 42m in 1 go! Apparently will be a few months before it's sorted.

Given Sheff Wed, Birmingham City, Reading and Derby County all got points deductions, the precedent has been set. Sure they would all start law suits if Bristol City had the rules bent for them to get off.

Aye, 3yr deal, undisclosed but seen £500k mentioned. We've done well with loans but good to have a permanent guy in now.

Can't see Bristol City dropping with their strike force.

We will see how bad Bristol City are at the back on Tuesday. We have looked very anaemic in attacking areas so far this season so perhaps the kick start one of us needs to get it together us in attack, or them in defence.

I felt it was very apparent that we were missing Naismith and his big switch plays to release Bree and find Adebayo today. Was a huge part of our buildup last year and no one has the ability to do them like he did, if there defence is looking poor perhaps a move that hasn't worked for all parties.

We’ll be fine on the FFP front. It’s obviously affecting our transfer business where we’re only bringing in free transfers (Naismith, Wilson, Sykes and Klose). But largely have been helpful additions…

We’re missing Kalas and Semenyo through injury at the minute and have a very tight squad. They will be like new signings when they’re back!

We just gotta ride the wave at the moment.

I think the problem is for us at the moment is that Naismith is playing in the middle of the 3. Unfortunately with Kalas out, we’re relying on bench warmers for cover, meaning that the more experienced Naismith has to be central.

We’re pretty light on numbers, so we may have to sell one of our assets to push on.

Yeah that doesn’t sound ideal. Naismith is defo a LCB and quite an odd one at that given his abilities and tendencies on the ball. Arguably his defending is/was of significantly lesser import for us, than what he did on it and general leadership.

Not a mention of Diengs goal on here. Fair play to QPR coming bk and drawing even though we looked comfortable. Chair shudda been sent off before his class FK but you have to say it was a bety good moment for

We really are fucking crap going forward. Sooner 4-2-3-1 gets punted down the canal and Broadhead starts regularly the better. Time we got some proper clarity regarding Charlie Wyke's fitness as well, he played in pre season and now he's nowhere to be seen.

Amos went off injured today so that's a new keeper added to the shopping list because as good a clubman as he is, I'm not watching Jamie Jones in goal for any longer than a couple of weeks.

How the fuck is Brereton still at the Plastics?
Because Venkys to their credit don't sell their best players, unless they get offered absolutely stupid money which no one would ever offer. I remember clubs trying to sign Jordan Rhodes from them every window for about 2-3 years and they would never let him go.

The amount of money they must have lost and continue to lose running that club is terrifying. Yet still they get abused for it by Plastic fans.

Was a great header too..

Most outfield players would be proud of that .

They don’t seem to be many protests now or we just don’t hear about them I guess .

Into his final year now though, he's well worth a punt, definitely the best striker in the league.

But yeah, the Plastics have stopped crying now, finally realised that they're not the biggest and bestest club in England.

Bit of an odd team, only one recognised midfield player starting, albeit Osho has played a fairly significant amount of DM and Woodrow will be the number 10. Lot of work Campbell to get through id suggest.

Got be honest really not keen on it and think the squad is really lacking balance in midfield currently.

might be because the game is still on and I’m still watching (for some reason) reacting too readily but I’m concerned and think we are bang in trouble.

In an attacking sense we look genuinely terrible. Not a single idea what we are doing, quality into the box non existent and no balance in the midfield. And now we are starting to concede very sloppy goals that we’re just not like us last season. Just not working. That’s a recipe for disaster I’m afraid.

Big thinking to be done as I think the 352 high press, high intensity style has been well and truest found out.

Everything we did well last season looks pathetic this season. No cohesion or desire.

Three games and weve been out 'Lutoned' in each one....... Jones' formations and choices are bizarre and we cant keep or hold the ball......even against 10 men. Very concerning.
