No I’ve decided to stay put for now.

Having looked at our next four fixtures:
Doncaster - H
Leyton Orient - H
Stockport - A
Tranmere - A

All tough, certainly tougher than the run of fixtures we’ve had so far.

If we come out of that Tranmere game still in the top 10, then I’ll maybe consider my future in this thread.

Wow....what a stick in the mud you are.

Wow....what a stick in the mud you are.

Look at who we’ve played so far.
We’ve already played 6 of the bottom 7. You couldn’t have hand picked a better more favourable set of fixtures. In the one test we’ve had (Stevenage) we were comfortably and easily beaten by a far superior side.

It’s not beyond the realms of possibility that we start losing games as the fixtures start getting tougher. We’re still early enough into the season where a few defeats could sink us right down into the mire.

So as I say, if we come out of this next 4 tougher fixtures still in the top 10, we can start looking at ourselves as an established top half team.

Listen to me, this is a piss poor league this season and we're the only good team in it and we can beat anyone.
Stevenage are shit, Orient are shit, Northampton and Bradford, both shit too and the rest of the league are even more shit.
The only reason we're not top and got beat off Stevenage is because we've just had very bad luck with an injury crisis and it was at its worst when we played Stevenage who are NOT a far superior side, I mean who even plays for the little tinpot minnows?

So just stop being the worlds biggest pessimist and enjoy the ride that you're missing out on..

Missing out on? I bet I’ve been to more games than you this season. I’m missing out on nothing. Win lose or draw I’m there for the ride.

And we’ll see how the rest of the month and see if you’re right about us being the best team in the league. We will see.

I am right about us, because we now own this..

The fact there are 5 teams below Gillingham who have only scored 4 goals all season long, tells you everything you need to know about this season's relegation battle.

I thought carlisle were the best side i’ve seen at mansfield this season (though it was also our worst performance at home) and had that useless ex-spireite not been uptop you’d have won with the chances he missed.

Appreciate it’s only 1 game but given your points tally and how you played, i find it hard to believe you’re in any danger of relegation unless you go on a spectacularly bad run lasting a few months.

Hate to be too negative but I’ve got to be honest. I don’t see us turning things round and reckon there’s one spot for the rest of you to fight it out for

I think we're in for a painful few months before we potentially see any signs of recovery, Raj has to do something in January or it'll be curtains for us, the one saving grace is that despite only having 1 win in 15 we're not even remotely adrift, yet.

Yeah not looking good is it? Trying to get my head round the monumental fuck up we've made of reestablishing ourselves at this level. We've totally and utterly fucked it.

I genuinely think if someone was employed with the intention of fucking the squad up, they would have struggled to achieve this level of shite

Honestly I don’t understand teams are this level who go down the Scottish league recruitment path, it never ever works out especially en mass. Having said that, we’re deep in trouble too, we’ve only won twice and about 5 of our next 6 games are away, starting with Orient on Tuesday.

Aye it's been a disaster, but the English players signed alongside them have been dog shite too, It's just been one colossal fuckup since Challinor jumped ship.

Don't forget the existing players have also been shite. Ferguson particularly disappointing for me

Ferguson has been poor since halfway through last season.

Don’t know if Sterry has turned really injury prone or if he’s just fucked it off and wants away

I've heard he's unhappy but wouldn't you be? Rushed into playing with barely a pre season and then watch on as your teammates get replaced with worse players.

There’s no way any player of any ability in that squad wouldn’t be pissed off. Especially one that’s been there last year or so and seen decent players move on to be replaced with Scottish bin men.

I’d be surprised if he isn’t one that wants out in January

RWB isn’t he?

If DC is still around I’m sure he’d take him.

MSH has been underwhelming/injured and loanee Brown after starting well fell of a cliff.

Yep, we only really have him as he has MH issues and a young bairn so he wants to stay in the NE. Not sure how he is on both fronts now but if he wants to leave then I totally get that. He might want somewhere a bit closer than Stockport though.

He's said disparaging stuff about non league before so I really doubt he'd want to be part of a club that's heading back there

MSH's season hasn't got going, three games for a nothing red at Doncaster and then a bad hammy pull. I still think he can make the step up as our RB/RWB at this level. Hopefully he gets more luck with injuries/suspensions going forward, DC said he's back "on the grass" a phrase managers love to use but doesn't mean a lot to me, usually just says 1 or 2 more weeks away.

You’re opinion, he got what he deserved, clear red in my opinion :fing:

Imagine we sell Sterry or Umerah in January, there'd be riots.

Last thing we need right now is players SULKING.

If anybody doesn,t want to know then fuck off, And its not understandable.

All of us at one time or another have been pissed off at work
But mostly we have had to get on with it.
