Isn’t that just typical football, Donny go on an insane run like that just to get into the play offs, win the away leg 2-0 against the most out of form team in the league and then manage to implode at home.
I think that’s why we all love (and hate) football.

Feels like Donny just starting hit their stride.

Nice bit of shithousing by the Crewe keeper faking cramp just a couple of minutes ago.

:pond:

Wonder where he learned that (having been our #1 up until very recently).

Stryjek has to be fucking loving this, we dropped him for the tinpot final in favour of our number 2 keeper, who dropped a clanger to give Posh the winning goal.

Now he goes and saves the pen that takes Crewe through to Wembley. Ah well good on the lad.

That’s a proper shitter for Rovers. You put in that much effort/level of performance for the last 3-4 months and dont even get a trip to Wembley to show for it. That’s football for you

Crawley have sold 1,630 tickets for tomorrow after all the fuss about us “only” allocating 2,010…

Still, a good turnout in respect of their average home crowd. I’m sure they shall also have a very pleasant day out too, and an even more pleasant day out at Wembley.

Good luck tomorrow, mate. Hoping for a big Dons win.

Crewe are such a weird side. Bookies had them to finish near the bottom, scored a ridiculous amount of last minute goals, scored 2 goals in their last 8 games looking dreadful and now they're going to Wembley. :eyes:

I can't believe what I've just witnessed. This set of players gave everything. We deserve that.

Not any fuss from me. Good turn out from us.
Shame wanker Winkleman has split our support, especially as we're the only? club to see your perspective?

We'd have won the league if not for all the injuries we started getting from February onwards.

I'm lost for words, did not expect that tonight. But we've had a few moments like that this season, didn't expect to go to Stockport and Mansfield and win, or come back from 2 down away at Wimbledon, but this team has balls and has spirit. We will fight to the end.

So so proud of them lads and Lee Bell tonight.

Beware who ever we play at Wembley, in our 4 visits we've never conceded a goal.

Donny fans on here are decent lads but they have been unbearable on social media for the last month they thought they just had to turn up and promotion was a formality well done to Crewe for giving them a reality check tonight just shows the play offs are a different entity and form goes out of the window.

The arrogance of a minority of Doncaster fans after Monday already booking Wembley tickets and hotels. Enjoy being out of pocket lads.

That there is one of the greatest nights I've had watching us. I didn't think we had a cat in hell's chance but here we are going to Wembley. The season continues and rightly so! Everyone was immense tonight! Ever so proud of this team!

2am and I've just got home. I'm absolutely exhausted but fuck me I adore this club. We've been put through shit with them for two months and desperately clung on to a playoff spot that nobody gave us a chance to be in at the start of the season. Tonight made it worth every single ounce of stress.

God I love football.

We even beat them twice and they looked bad in both

I'm assuming 'the Alex' are like most other teams down here though and inconsistent ,but probably decent on their day -- they only need one good day now to return to league 1 . It will be interesting to see how Donny do next season .

Well done Crewe. That's some comeback against a team that had been on such an amazing run.

Sorry Donny fans, but had to laugh after a lot of fans seemed to think it was a foregone conclusion that you were heading to Wembley.

The playoffs are a wonderful watch for the neutral.

Glad Donny are staying down, as it feels more like a Yorkshire derby against them than Harrogate, despite Harrogate being much closer to us.

Will Donny now suffer a hangover next season like we did this season, or will they come out firing and storm to autos?

Brilliant from The Alex last night.
Had a feeling we might just turn put in a performance and turn it round.
Many Doncaster fans seemed to think it was a foregone conclusion but I knew there was still mileage in the tie yet.
Off to Wembley again!
You can watch it on the telly, Donny fans.

Football eh. They’ve been relegation fodder like for last couple of months, lost 3-0 at home to Grimsby and FGR in April, and still have a one off match to get promoted. League 2 for you. Doncaster properly blew that, must have taken things for granted, though of course credit to Crewe too.
