2 great goals from Gray, feels like it’s only really Watford where he hasn’t been quite a reliable source of goals in his career. Everywhere else including his recent stint at QPR and abroad he’s done reasonably well goals wise.

Bayo should have won the game for Watford with his 1v1 chance though.
Yes that was a poor miss/good save and we had a couple of others on the break.

Trouble is we sat back and invited pressure as well which always leads to one chance or a moment of magic.

TBF to Gray he did sign for us in the Premier league with a hefty fee paid out which hardly helped - maybe Championship is his level?

Then when we did go down he got a few goals but also got caught breaking the COVID rules twice which didn't go down well.

Disappointing today

Cardiff are garbage but as usual we struggled breaking them down

Too slow and predictable

Well we won, quite fortunate Hull missed 3 really good chances. We didn’t look like scoring outside of set pieces.

I’d take Drameh back here, played out of position and thought he was one of the better players on the pitch

But win is a win, much needed going into the next 2 where I’d be extremely surprised if we managed to come away with anything.

That game was ugly... like pure filth, which isn't uncharacteristic in recent weeks. Hull probably deserved a point on balance as they hit the post and had a deflected shot at Kaminski's legs late on.

Mark McGuinness is definitely improving in the last couple of months; deserved his goal as well as his international debut at Wembley. Probably a bit unlucky not to have a second. Getting a bit more dominant in both boxes which is a good sign.

We're still not fluid by any means and I don't think the international break has been the magic spark needed. Two away trips coming up - I don't think we'll get much out of Leeds on Wednesday, but a bit more hopeful for Norwich next weekend.

Yes a little bit. Appreciate it’s cold comfort but I was impressed with the football you played. At least there was a clear plan and direction to things, for us I couldn’t really tell you what the plan was to actually create anything outside of set pieces.

Game of margins and a bit, ifs and buts…but, you created 3 really guilt edged chances that should have been taken plus were very unlucky that the deflected shot at the end went to Kaminski.

We could be having a very different conversation this morning about what a commanding and controlled performance from you, limiting us to just a single set piece and could have won by a few more goal without a heck of a lot being different about the game other than a couple of inches.

Happens most weeks, we control possession, pass the ball nicely, get into the final third, and nothing much happens. When it does, we miss easy chances.

As our game was called off due to Blackburn being tinpot, I went to Preston vs Derby instead. First half was League One standard barring the header for PNE's opener, second half was absolute dross.

Based on their last two showings, if we can't finish above Preston then we absolutely deserve relegation. Not convinced Derby won't get dragged into the mire at some point either. It's a very tight division at both ends.

Be surprised if the Hull boss is still there come Saturday

We should have been 3 up after 20 minutes if we could hit the target. Second half wasn’t great as we sat back and let them have it but I can see why we did. They are very poor

Terrible. Again. The only thing more disgraceful than our performance was the Wednesday fans booing of Kasey Palmer. Presumably they wanted to show their support for racist abuse. Shabby.

Leeds away for us tonight. Have a few injured back apparently so squad must be the healthiest it’s been in about a year although Doughty out is a huge problem.

Still, no chance we come away with anything here I don’t think. We also have Norwich away on Saturday who just put 6 passed Plymouth, so could be a tough week for us

Or the fact we have had previous with Palmer that wasn't racial and he is a wind up merchant, God forbid we boo someone, bit like you lot booing Windass it's part of football.

Racism has no place in football or society in general but not everything is racist or intended as so.

Hull are wank by the way, its such a decline in a short space of time.

Wow, that's desperate. Palmer was booed because of 'previous' which had nothing to do with the racist abuse which happened to him? You really expect anybody to believe that? Even your own fans don't believe it.

Looking at the Wednesday message boards, it seems 90% of Wednesday fans agree with me. The ones who agree with you seem to have the same grasp of logic and grammar.

I didnt really expect anything so cant complain too much, but we are essentially non-competitive in the game and whilst i expected to lose, i dont think the gap should look as wide as it does.

We are a shadow of the side of last season that gave top teams a game, let alone the side that came 3rd and got promoted

As above, just absolutely miles off a decent Leeds side, cant see much different an outcome on Saturday against Norwich either.

We are just nowhere it at the moment, confidence is clearly on the floor and we look more like a newly promoted side just trying to scrape up by any means possible.

Almost pointless summarising last night - it's groundhog day. Its Middlesbrough MkII except we didn't concede 5 this time. I saw a tweet from a Leeds fan earlier: "...one of the poorest at ER all season, feel sorry for the fans that travelled the players stole a living tonight walking round the pitch."

Yet I see people clapping them off? Why?

Self inflicted in many ways - once again, players being thrown in ridiculous positions, when we have an almost fully fit squad now.

Elijah Adebayo had another mare - he now has FIFTEEN missed big chances this season and a conversion rate of just 6%! The next trio are on 10 (Maja, Latte Lath and Sargeant). What is going on with him?

When is there going to be some accountability in this club?

I really don't understand some who are happy to accept a mid table finish? With our resources this season, anything less than a top 6 finish is a failure. This squad probably costs £45M this season, around double what we spent in the year we got promoted. Its a total fuck up.

Norwich are a funny side, they looked so poor at our place but just put Plymouth to the sword, bring your own ref again and you'll have a chance :)

Derby away this weekend, a place we never get a result at really, they tend to do a Luton and supply their own officials at Pride Park, this will be a test for us as we don't defend set pieces well and Derby are the most dangerous in the league at it this season, we are in a run of games we should be picking up points from to kick on.

Adebayo looked a talented player when he got on the ball against us. The problem was with the other 99.5% of his time on the field.

I’d take a mid table finish to be quite honest, the warning signs are there for worse imo. Even in recent wins we’ve been very poor in my view and I can’t work out what it is we are trying to do to win outside of set pieces. Open play we create nothing.

Have to say I’m a little bit irritated by this narrative from the Club, by Sweet in the programme on Saturday and Edwards last night after the game that the worry is the “away form”.

We’ve been crap both home and away all season, barely played well in any game, even in wins at home we’ve by and large been very poor (bar one obvious exception). We were very lucky in my view against a poor Hull side who got rid of their manager this week , but it’s the away form we need to sort out apparently, not the fact that we are just a bit shit and had slightly more fortune in some recent home games.

At least we aren’t the only team to have lost to QPR (lost to them at home too btw…) anymore after last night

Another home game so another win?

Mind you the run will probably end at some point and be typical to lose this one against a struggling team albeit who have done better on the road.
