We had 475 last night.
Fantastic.
The more wank gates we get the quicker the sponsors will pull out and we can ditch this embarrassing former great trophy.

I don't think they care about that.
A boycott of the final will be great, or failing that I'm hoping for an all Premier League final, Crystal Palace v Wolves should see the final nail in the coffin.

The only people you are hurting with crap gates is your club who still have to pay for stewarding and, in our case, access to the stadium.

Most clubs will only open up certain stands which will require less stewarding. Getting rid of B teams will see more fans respecting the competition and will see a rise in attendances.

I think you’re right that it would see bigger attendances per game, as there would be less games to compete for your money, but I think gates have always been poor for this competition and some clubs have lost money hosting the games in the early rounds.

And add in all the cost of living hike, you can see why this tournament would really not be appealing for the floating punter.

It’s true that some people do boycott because of the Prem kids thing, but I don’t know how large a % that is.

Doncaster for us tonight.

With no game on Saturday, it wouldn't surprise me if we picked a stronger team than we'd normally do.

Crystal Palace and Wolves would probably sell a few tickets because they never get near winning anything at Wembley. Would probably prefer Chelsea v Man City or something. None of their fans would give a crap about it.

We’re playing tonight expect us to name a strongish team as we don’t have enough fit players to make many changes.

Shrewsbury again for us this time it’s at their place. DC already said he’ll be making changes for this (hopefully the entire team) and assume Cotteril will as well for them.

Yeah I think he will.

That should still mean Conlon, Stone, Walker (if fit), Politic, Pett, Worrall and Forrester for example get minutes, expect McCarrron will start (his last app was for Leeds in the Prem at Arsenal last season so a bit of a culture shock!)

Maybe worth giving Wilson a few more minutes?

I wouldn’t risk Wilson in this. In his last couple of appearances he’s looked sharper than I expected him to so would save him for Peterborough. All that can happen if we play him tonight is he picks up a knock. I’d have Robinson and McCarron at WB and McDermott in the middle. Small up front with Mipo as well and Politic behind.

Around 500 heading across to Tranmere tonight. It’s not for me this competition (until a trip to Wembley beckons) but each to their own.

We'll be playing as many of the stiffs as possible tonight, just like we did in the first round.

We're away to Steve Nage's Steveevans FC. Or something like that.

We’ve made 11 changes but most pleasing is that it’s a far stronger side than we were able to field in some of our early league games such as Exeter and MK.

Politic and Small up front.

Midfield three of Conlon, Walker and McDermott

Worrall and McCarran full back

Hall, Forrester and Robinson at centre half.

Stone in goal.

Decided give this a watch on iFollow given the lack of anything else on tonight. Interested in seeing McCarron for us anyway.

Costs twice as much as a ticket oddly! Dennis the Menace gets his first goal since his return!

Tell you what we are playing some really nice passing football so far. Shrews look very similar to Saturday, big units and if they have a lead are a nightmare to play against but not that dynamic otherwise. Thierry Small impressing up top. McCarron got a nice burst of speed also.

Looks like we are winning 1-0. Vernam first goal for the club.

2,338 (157) there. Don't know how that compares to previous Pizza Trophy numbers from us.

Probably about right as i remember you got 3,000 plus v Sunderland one night. Poor turnout from Donny considering it's a localish game.

Watching Peterborough first team v Spurs U21, Posh 2-0 up at half time.

has super dennis played 3 times for us since his return? (came on 1-0 down at Barnsley, 1-1 at home to shrews and starts away at shrews in the pizza cup. not that he was directly responsible but we've still turned around 2 results as a sub and scores a hattrick in his only start.

our transfer window was so weird as a whole but the last flurry of signings have really transformed the squad. and thats without seeing anything of mccarron until tonight.

1 loss in 7 in all comps which feels a bit better than it did. Dennis hadn’t started in 9 months until tonight…

It’s another big option as he gets fitter.
