Crikes if we win or draw tonight this will be the first time in this format we have progressed.

Beat Wolves 2-0 for whatever little it’s worth.

Good group stage, three wins, 7 goals and three clean sheets. Given game time to players who need it so can only be a good thing in that aspect.

Good to see Mipo score again as we will need him soon when Ellis gets that’s fifth booking.

Won on pens but given the shit points rules for this compo, we had to win in 90 mins to go through, so Posh qualify at our expense.

Meh.

Really the only disappointment here is it was good for the stiffs to get competitive minutes against senior pros rather than reserves (obvs Prem kids aside), but apparently we will just look to ship players out on loan now instead, which is the right call.

I said a few weeks back I really liked your managers honesty and no-nonsense talk. Fair play to him for this tonight:
Yeah I saw that too. I’m not surprised, he’s pretty straight up and never criticises the ref for decisions given against us. Love the fact the first time he does have a pop at the ref it’s for a decision given for us.

Disappointed by the attendance there last night. You had 1,200 scabs, we had 1,300.

Not too disheartened about our exit tonight as our squad is approaching "thread-bare" territory.

Harness the latest to limp off the field of play tonight.

You didn't look threadbare the other day, judging by who you could bring on. You could at least have let us play Harper to even things up a bit

Annoyingly, this tournament has become important due to us crashing out of the FA cup to Alvechurch. £20k for beating FGR is not to be sniffed at.

Disappointed that so many Cheltenham fans went to watch it (665 out of a crowd of 1.400 or so). So much for a boycott.

Barnsley at home tonight, not sure how serious they take it, we usually make 10-11 changes throughout the group stages but with no match until a week on Friday and 20k up for grabs I would be tempted to go stronger. With his ban at the weekend I would start Ellis Harrison to keep him up to speed (and as punishment of sorts).

Believe Crosby will be taking the team again for this one.

So glad we're out of the pizza cup now. Our injuries are starting to pile up. McKenna even hinted after the game that he had very little interest, which showed when he brought on youngsters instead of 1st teamers. Bring on the January transfer window.

Indeed, we should be hanging our heads in collective shame...save the fun for the League game in a couple of weeks time...anyway, good luck in the next round!

Strong line up tonight, apart from Holden and Politic it’s pretty much fell strength, Wilson plays although oddly Harrison isn’t in the squad.

Glad to see Worrall start after limping off at the weekend.

Enjoyable first half that, second goal was absolutely beautiful football and worth the iFollow fee alone.

Great save to prevent a third and we’ve taken the foot off the gas a bit at the end of the half which is frustrating.

Worried about Wilson though, their lads done an awful tackle right through him and it’s a big risk for the sake of this competition when he’s only just back.

Made that far harder than it needed to be but pleasing result.

We got to the comfort of Cruyff turns and then conceded yet another long ranger which was their only real effort on goal, but professional performance overall.

Still need to look at stopping those long rangers though and really should of been 4 up by the time that goal was scored so need to be more clinical.

Don;t believe that. You'd be wetting your knickers if you'd got to Wembley

Darrell Clarke loves giving Ellis Harrison a punishment. Sent him on loan to Hartlepool while he was with us. Brutal..

He wasn’t involved in the end so got minutes elsewhere.

Pleasing to see Holden get a good set of minutes in and have a decent game as he looked way off it early season.
