Aldershot - Sutton
Bromley - Maidenhead
Chester - Barrow
Dagenham - Macclesfield
Dover - Woking
Eastleigh - Solihull
Ebbsfleet - Torquay
Fylde - Wrexham
Guiseley - Boreham Wood
Halifax - Maidstone
Hartlepool - Tranmere
Leyton Orient - Gateshead

Interesting games at the top; Aldershot v Sutton, Dover v Woking and table-topping Macclesfield at Dagenham. At the other end of the table, Barrow's trip to Wales taking on Chester could be a turning point for one of them.

Pools v Rovers doesn't promise much,so will probably deliver the expected 0-0 draw or a narrow home win.

This is about the time when Macclesfield start their slide into mid-table, right?

We’ve got a few injuries now. Barely anyone decent on the bench. Fully expect us to get our standard dicking at Dover.

We're fucking boring to watch, Harrison sets us up not to lose, home and away, the results have improved from the start of the season but it makes for a miserable viewing experience, sick of waiting to see a more attacking outlook from him at home, we've got someone who took the piss in this league in the past with assists and goals stuck at left back.

0-0 sounds about right to me, wouldn't be surprised if either one of us nicked it with the only shot of the game going in.

Tough one for us v Borehamwood but I fancy we'll get something from the game with it being at home. Here's hoping :)

Last time i went up to Hartlepool, Maggie Thatcher's south yorkshire constabulary murdered 96 fooiball fans at Hillsborough. Won't be going tonight either, although i did used to enjoy a pre match pint of Camerons in the Mill House.
If Hartlepool can keep their shape for 90 minutes they will come away with at least a point, three if Mellon's got us set up negatively. The away support might just make three figures.

I did a midweek trip to Halifax a few years back for a Trophy replay, not doing it this year I'm afraid. Maybe playing only half a game on Saturday will help us not be knackered.

Someone remind me. Are Maidstone United a fellow historic league brother club, or Mickey Mouse tinpotters? I feel it is important to know our place in the non league pecking order.

This has been discussed before. I think it's a straight battle between you and Aldershot for king of the tinpotters.

As for us tonight, the game has 0-0 written all over it. I wish he'd drop Hawkins and bring in Munns or Deverdics into the centre. We might actually create some chances. He wants us to be in touching distance by Xmas by being hard to beat, understandable but sitting back and letting other teams into it is going to keep biting us on the arse. Just needs one change. Go on Craig, give it a go. Gamble a bit. He won't though.

Another draw to keep us progressing towards promotion, I think.

Personally I can’t wait to watch Orient lose a 5th consecutive home game in front of a 2,800 (19) crowd. If anyone is painting their walls today I’d love to come over.

can't help but view Fylde as a decent team despite their league standing, and they did beat us 10 days ago in the FA Cup; albeit we made a few changes to our pretty consistent starting XI.
I *think* Shaun Pearson is banned after a fifth booking last weekend, which if so will make us a rather different prospect at the back; with that in mind I think another 0-0 grind would be okay..

Unfortunately missing half of our wonder defence tonight. But I think we'll field a stronger side than we did for the FA cup. I'm hopeful for another 1-0 smash and grab.

Aye. This in a nut shell. I've been banging on for weeks about Dev/Munns moving into midfield. We were always going to come unstuck with the boring-to-watch tactic of don't concede and hope to get a last minute goal. Hopefully Saturday was enough for Harrison to make the required changes.

Fully expect the same starting XI, one or two half chances for Rodney, Tranmere look the better team but fail to score any of their chances. Loach MOTM. 0-0.

It's getting you out of the trouble you were in though? Only 6 points off 2nd..
A difficult argument, we're in a similar situation: in terms of concentrating on defending and being well organised, but have just managed a couple more 1-0 wins. We have scored two goals less than you! You just learn to adapt, like getting mildly aroused when Manny Smith booms yet another header away from danger. Would happily take this all season to finish in the play-offs or better.

Tonight could result in our first back to back wins this season.
Expecting a 3-0 win, but will likely see a bore 0-0 draw.
Free entry for all, so could be a 3000+ crowd, but probably more like 2,300 at best. Not expecting many from Solihull & we've lost at least 500 regulars off the gate so far this season from last season.

Are we really the lowest game aplhabetically??

If we lose tonight I suggested all fans read our messageboard because it will be major entertainment. I also think for the first time a loss and Davis' job will be under serious threat.

It has yes, the tactic was spot on at first, stopped the rot, made us hard to beat etc. However, but for a few last minute winners, we would be much closer to the relegation spots. It sounds ridiculous to want to change things when we have lost 1 in 11 games (winning 7?), but we are not playing any great football at all. We have a resolute defensive line (barring the liability Scott Harrison who thankfully has been dropped again) aided by 3 defensive-minded midfielders. We don't create enough meaningful chances, and that is what the likes of Deverdics or Munns can offer. It's seriously bad to watch, and quite frankly I don't think we can rely on 1-0 scorelines all season. We need to start creating chances. It was demonstrated at your place where we came up against a good defensive unit and only created one or two half chances in 90 minutes (admittedly one hit the bar). If we go 1-0 down, I just can't see how we will score a goal.

A big 6-pointer tonight at Deva v Barrow. If we've got any chance of preserving our National League status we need to start picking up points now. Slightly encouraged by our 2 new signings, but our record against Barrow is beyond awful. A point would be a start of our fight to avoid relegation.

Aye. The lad has been playing left back for us after an injury to our only left back. Although he has played very well, he isn't the influence he could be from that position. We signed him from you as an attacking central midfielder, and in the 2(?) years he's been here, has probably played that position twice. He's been treat awfully by a few managers now. Think he had offers from yourself and Gateshead in the summer but said he wanted to stay and fight for his place.

Davis isn't picking the team or tactics anyway, Martin Ling sits in the stand and is fully miked up each game telling Davis what to do, he also calls all the shots on "in game tactics" and the substitutions. Davis is only there because ML bottled it and went upstairs because he couldn't take the pressure, but still wants all the glory of calling all the shots. So its not Davis you need to question or sack, its Ling. But of course you Orient fans know all this, right?...

Where's best for pre match beers for Dagenham? Looking at getting off at Barking, is that best bet?
