TBH I think it's looking like a knee jerk reaction to cancel tonight's games if we're gonna play 24 hours later on the Saturday?

Still won't count my chickens before they're hatched with the EFL like, also have Savannah Marshall tickets at the 02 tomorrow night...

Ours maybe because it's a North West derby but the other one is Norwich at Burnley. Norwich needed to know tbf. I have sympathy with the EFL that they did need to say something yesterday.

Possibly could scramble to get ours on but it would require Tranmere to get it on really as the home team. They'll probably just not bother and we'll play it on a Tuesday in a few weeks.

Screws the host clubs unnecessarily. There was the potential for some large away followings tomorrow which will be cut in half on a Tuesday night, as most will then watch via iFollow on their own club's website in which the home team therefore doesn't make a penny.

Not to forget all the fans that were travelling now needing refunds for transport, hotels etc and the effect on matchday employees and suppliers missing out on funding.

Apparently it's down to availability of police - they're all needed in the capital for the influx of tourists etc. It's one of the main reasons the Tour of Britain has been cancelled.

Well they did f all yesterday in closing stages of the race finish in Mansfield.
I was watching at near the finish line. The race finished on one side of a dual carriage way with barrier down the middle of the road and I was standing near the centre barriers.
As the race finished I was bumped out the way by blokes on bikes who threw their bikes over the barriers , climbed over the barrier and finished the race.
At first I thought they were gate crashers but in fact they were part of the race who went down the wrong side of the dual carriageway a few hundred metres away.
The police had one job apparently to keep roads clear and keep bikers on correct road.

Even though we’re not very good we were close to selling out at Crawley (probably would have) with it being one of very few localish games, not much chance of that happening on a Tuesday night especially if we’re still rubbish.

Why would the police be short on Saturday?

I agree it's bananas, but the government gave everyone the go ahead to play, it's the half cooked mush brains at the EFL/PL who've pulled it.

They thought everybody would do it so didn’t want to look bad.

Now Cricket, Rugby League and Rugby Union are all going ahead and they are wishing they’d kept their powder dry.

Sooner they are disbanded the better, shit hit the fan with you lot in the NL but we were flagging up our problems as were Bury previous (and others) and they never bat an eyelid.

They’d be happy if they could have the ex-premier league sides and that’s it.
