You had a larger home average than us last season yes, but that would have been down to much larger away followings from Pompey, Donny, Plymouth etc. We had Tranmere, 7-800 I think, then it was around 200 with Maidstone I believe. The rest wouldn't have added up to much so in theory we will have more home fans than you two seasons running (hopefully). We will enjoy it thanks.

I doubt we will get 5300+ ST sales next season unless we have an amazing 9/10 months.
Clutching at straws here.

Also worth noting, that our season ticket sales haven't really been great because the club has stated that they are officially GOING FOR the %age of home fans taken away top spot in Walkley_Owl's 1FF attendance thread.

Maybe we should have done an away fan per mile ratio, we might have won that one! :ds:
I came back from Korea to watch our game against Barnet at home, so I reckon I might have won that one all by myself.

Plane ticket: 600,000KRW.
Jumbo haddock and chips at Steel's: £11.75
12,000 mile round trip to see Bogle miss a last minute penalty and throw away a hattrick and two points on Bignot's home debut: Priceless

Can't we just stop our squabbling and agree that Scunthorpe are the laughing stock of Lincolnshire?

Did Scunthorpe exist when the first Town v City league derby was played in 1892. Both clubs were the first with their respective appellations "Town" and "City" in the Football League making it the Town v City derby - Norwich v Ipswich is just a johnny come lately derby.

This looks like being season two of the Imps equivalent of our "McMenemy" phenonmenon...just a mere 46 years ago now. It made all that experienced it think GTFC is a really big club but we've never repeated that level of support, let's see if Lincoln keep the bandwagon going for more than two seasons.

Lincoln is a wealthier area than Gy now and they will be mopping up the uncommited rural mid-Lincs football support that we use to rule. We've no chance of ever matching their current ST numbers without a stadium move.

Here at Swindon, Grimsby have always come in good numbers to us, considering the awkwardness of getting to us from Grimsby, even on a evening kick off on a Tuesday , they have brought 500 or so, and usually on a Saturday they get on towards the 1000 mark.
I know you have quite a lot of your fans in London and the south, but i think you do really well in ratio to your home support

Started chatting to a co-worker at dinner time yesterday and it turns out he is a Lincoln fan and he referred to the Cowleys as "inspirational". Couldn't make this shit up.

Sorry, there's something really wrong with this.

I assure you it did. He also waxed lyrical about Bradley Wood and Nathan Arnold and was of the opinion thay Raggett is staying put. No skin off my nose, if you don't believe me.

Yes, I suppose I am in the South so I should adopt their strange customs.

Can the East Midlanders at least agree on this? :)

It's only like me trying to get folk in Manchester used to a cob

You've gone on record with your one-man campaign to besmirch the good name of Daniel Cowley. As your esteemed fellow Grimsby fan Freelaf would say, I simply don't believe you #FakeNews

Agreed. Not having any of this "barm cake" lark I keep hearing up here in Lancashire.

You have misunderstood the campaign. It's not a matter of besmirchment. It's about promoting the good name of Danny Cowley and all the fantastic work he is doing. I want him to bring together the nation like he has the city of Lincoln. We are in danger of losing our mantle of biggest team in Lincolnshire, so the sooner Cowley becomes England manager the better imo.

Ah, well then I must apologise. Lord Cowley is indeed inspirational (but don't forget poor Nicky).

No, he's rubbish. He just knows how to work all the computers. Stuart Pearce will do all that kind of stuff when DC gets the job.

2600 as of today with cheap prices set to end tomorrow so see if we get a late influx. That is minus the free kids tickets.

A guy came back from Brisbane or Perth for one of our games last year.
If it's Brisbane I'm impressed but not if it's Perth, I mean come on Scotland ain't that far to come is it?

It was a sell out game too and he came without a ticket!

Also just seen we have 4 (four) ST left for the co-op. It's going to be mental in there this season.

Bloody crazy it'll be our highest average crowd since Graham Taylor was our manager 40 years ago!

And the days of John Ward - Lincolnshire Poacher...

I was at the game at Scunthorpe in Div 4 championship season for Lincoln - the only time I've seen crowd trouble involving a team not involved in the game - allegedly - dockers in the Fox Street end missing their local derbies - we were in div 3 at the time.
